Very well designed and manufactured but check your monitors VESA interface
Not so long ago, I ordered another HUANUO product, a laptop arm, so when I saw this offered to me on Vine I snapped it up, as the quality of the laptop arm is impressive and I have been using it daily.
As with the laptop arm, this monitor arm is similarly impressive in its packing, presentation and manufacturing. Almost everything is metal, the foot and clamp being particularly lovely and solid.
The instructions say to start with the foot and clamp, so I did. In the instructions there is mention of using blocks of wood as packing. This gives a false impression that the clamp may be limited in its clamping range. It is not. I do not know how thin your desktop would need to be for this clamp to be unable to accommodate it and for a block of wood to be required. Having assembled the clamp and foot, the arms were easy to attach and then secure with the single grub screws.
Now it was time to attach my monitor, a Samsung G7, to the supplied mount. And here, I ran into an issue. In their wisdom, Samsung do not use a standard Vesa mount, so I needed an adaptor. I am unable to state whether Samsung supplied one with my monitor that I have lost, or whether Samsung do not supply one at all. All I know is that it cost me 40 to buy an adaptor. When I look at the engineering and manufacturing that it took to produce this 60 arm, and what it took to produce the adaptor, I cannot help but feel ripped off.
Anyhoo, overpriced adaptor in place, my monitor now sits on this arm. I have reclaimed some desk space, and the arm looks sufficiently high tech. Like the laptop arm, it is easy to move the arm up, down, towards me and away from me. There is an adjustment for your monitor’s weight but I did not need to change it.
Like my OEM desk stand, the arm holds the monitor at a set height, but if I knock the desk, this is transmitted to the screen. Unlike the desk stand, I can now raise the monitor to a greater height if I so desire, and I have much more available movement.
In summary, this is impeccably manufactured from sturdy parts. It is very easy to assemble, but if you have a non-standard monitor mount (thanks Samsung) you may need to buy an overpriced adaptor.
An excellent monitor arm. I wish I had got one soone
HUANUO Ultrawide Monitor Arm for 13 — 40 Screens
I decided to try this monitor arm as I needed more space on my desk, especially behind my keyboard as the monitor stand was in the way. I am so glad that I got this, as it has made a big difference.
Not only has it given me more desk space, but it means that I can easily position the monitor to exactly the right height and distance for my needs.
It has also made cleaning the desk easier as it can be swivelled out of the way instead of me having to reach under and over the monitor. It is also much easier to connect cables to the monitor.
The arm needs a bit of putting together, but once you have read and understood the procedure it is simple to do. My desk is against a wall so fitting the clamp was the most difficult part for me, needing the desk moving 2-3 inches away from the wall to allow the clamp to be positioned. In fact I managed to slide it along the back of the desk from one side, before having to get under the desk to tighten it up. Once the clamp was tightly fixed to the desk the rest was easy to do from above.
There are adjustments for tension on the pivoting parts of the arm, and I found that once the monitor was attached and the arm was in place, that was the best time to make the slight adjustments.
Now it is all in place and adjusted I am very happy with this purchase. I wish I had got one years ago.
There is good weight in all the parts of the arm, so that gives confidence that it will last a long time and support the monitor safely.
My monitor is only 21″ so quite small, but I hope to get a 27″ monitor in the near future and it will be a very simple job to change over the VESA mounting bracket (75x75mm or 100x100mm) to the new monitor.
Cable management is basic being just 2 plastic covers, one for each arm, however it does hold the cables to the arms, which is better than them dangling everywhere. The cables look messy in my photos but when sorted they will be much tidier.
Easy to mount and sturdy
Getting the monitor sitting at the right height and angle makes a bigger difference than you might expect, especially if you spend a lot of time at the desk. This monitor arm turned out to be a very worthwhile upgrade and immediately made the whole setup feel cleaner and more comfortable to use.
The first thing that stood out was how sturdy it feels once installed. The arm is solidly built and easily handles the weight of a large monitor without any wobble. With support for screens up to around 40 inches and up to roughly 12 kg, it’s clearly designed with larger or ultrawide displays in mind rather than just smaller office monitors.
Adjustment is where it really shines. The gas-spring movement makes repositioning the screen smooth and effortless, and it’s easy to raise, lower, tilt or swivel the monitor until it’s exactly where you want it. The 360-degree rotation also means switching between landscape and portrait layouts takes seconds, which can be handy depending on what you’re doing.
Installation is straightforward as well. The option of using either the C-clamp or grommet mount means it should fit most desks without much trouble, and the VESA 75×75 or 100×100 mounting plate works with a wide range of monitors. Once everything is set up and the cables are tucked away, the desk feels noticeably less cluttered since the screen is lifted completely off the surface.
Overall, this HUANUO ultrawide monitor arm does exactly what you’d hope for. It’s sturdy, smooth to adjust and makes it easy to position a monitor perfectly while freeing up desk space at the same time. A very practical upgrade if you’re using a larger screen and want a tidier, more ergonomic setup.
A very good quality monitor stand.
I already own two other monitor mounts by Huanuo; one of which is supporting my main 3x 32″ curved monitor setup, so I do trust their quality. This one is a single mount, so it’s a bit simpler to install. One immediate point which may be negative depending upon your setup is that unless you want a large protruding arm poking out behind your desk, you cannot fit the base immediately behind the centre of the monitor. So it will be off to either the left or right side. But in practice this is unlikely to be any problem. In terms of the ease of install, it almost couldn’t have been easier.
Everything went together well first time. It was nice they included all tools needed, and used thumb screws in some places. The whole process of replacing my monitor’s stand with this arm only lasted about 30 mins, in total, and a good chunk of that was actually removing the OEM stand.
Once deployed, I notice that you can fairly freely move the monitor about on the arm, and it stays in place once moved.
In summary another nice product from Huanuo. They probably are priced a bit above the market average, but I would say if you want the easiest and most reliable time, it’s still worth the price.
Solid Monitor Arm, but Limited Flexibility
This ultrawide monitor arm is generally well built and capable of supporting larger monitors as advertised. The construction feels sturdy, and once mounted it holds the monitor securely without sagging. The included C-clamp and grommet mounting options are convenient and make installation fairly straightforward depending on your desk setup.
However, the main drawback for me was the range of motion. While the arm does adjust and supports basic positioning, it’s not nearly as flexible as I expected. Moving the monitor into different positions takes more effort than it should, and the articulation feels somewhat limited compared to other monitor arms I’ve used.
That said, once you find a position you like, the arm holds the monitor firmly and does its job well. If you’re looking for a stable mount and don’t plan on repositioning your screen often, it will work fine. But if you want a highly adjustable arm for frequent movement, it may fall a little short.
good quality
This monitor arm feels strong and well made. The metal construction is solid and it holds my monitor good. Installation was pretty simple and the clamp grips the desk firmly. I like that the arm has many adjustment points, so it’s easy to tilt, rotate, and move the monitor to a comfortable position. The joints move smoothly and stay where you place them. Nice thing that cable clips help keep wires a bit more organized.
Increased Desk Space and Fluid Movement for Ultrawide Displays.
Finding a mounting solution that can reliably support a larger screen is essential for a productive workspace, and the HUANUO NITROGLIDE Monitor Arm handles the task effectively. After setting this up for a 34-inch ultrawide display, the difference in both desk organization and ergonomic comfort is noticeable.
Top Features
Robust Support for Heavy Screens: This mount is rated for up to 26.4 lbs, and it holds a larger monitor without any noticeable sagging or instability. The VESA head feels secure, keeping the screen level even when extending the arm.
Fluid Positioning: The movement is smooth and requires very little effort to adjust. With the ability to tilt, swivel, and rotate 360 degrees, it is simple to find an angle that reduces glare and aligns the screen perfectly with eye level.
Reclaimed Workspace: By lifting the monitor off the desk, a significant amount of surface area is freed up. The integrated cable management clips also help in keeping cords organized and out of sight, contributing to a much tidier environment.
Straightforward Installation: The setup process is efficient, and the option to use either a C-clamp or a grommet base provides flexibility for different desk types. The snap-on VESA plate makes attaching the monitor to the arm a quick and secure process.
Performance and Build
The build quality is impressive, using high-strength materials that feel durable enough for long-term use. The height adjustment range of 18.5 inches is generous, allowing for a wide variety of sitting or standing positions. At a price point of $59.99, it offers a level of stability often found in much more expensive mounting systems.
Having a clear desktop and a monitor that moves exactly where it is needed has improved the overall flow of my workstation. It is a practical and sturdy choice for anyone looking to upgrade their home or professional office setup.
Sturdy, adjustable holding force, full articulation- an excellent stand!
This is a very well designed and well made monitor arm. I like everything about it! I used this with a 36″ monitor that weighs about 20 pounds.
First is its fully articulating design: the monitor can tilt up or down, left or right at the first joint. Then, the arm can be moved higher or lower, and pivots 360 at both joints. This allows you to put the monitor in just the right position.
Next is the holding force adjustments- a provided Allen wrench adjusts the force so that any monitor is perfectly counterbalanced. Even the pivoting arm can be adjusted, so things move freely but not too much so, and things stay where you put them.
All necessary hardware was included, and the desk clamp has great clamping force and is cushioned just enough to keep it from harming the surfaces but not so much it makes the stand feel wobbly.
I’m thoroughly impressed with this arm- it is a great value, and it works exactly like you hope it will! I’d recommend this to anyone.
Decent monitor stand for the money, no horizontal slide for dual setup though...
Installed this mount in an afternoon with my kids and wife helping lightly along the way.
Things I noticed:
* Mounted using the clamp. This was fairly eat, but it got hard to clamp down the last bit that really keeps the monitor from wiggling.
* Cable management was significantly limited. If you plan on using more than one input on your monitor, you may have trouble routing all the wires through the management.
* No available horizontal slide adjustments. This means if you’re against a wall and install two stands, it may be complicated to get the neighboring monitors together.
* 90 degree rotation seems smooth enough.
Decent monitor stand, just missing the horizontal slide near the Vesa mount.
Extended reach and full articulation provides flexible monitor positioning
Extremely well protected in the packaging and a bit of a DIY assembly project. This single-monitor arm supports 13–40 screens up to 26.4 lbs, with three articulating joints that allow tilt, swivel, height adjustment, and forward/back movement. The arm is solidly constructed metal with smooth joints, and the NITROGLIDE mechanism feels stable while repositioning the monitor. Installation is straightforward, and cable management clips help keep cords organized. Fit is compatible with standard VESA mounts, making it suitable for a range of monitors or all-in-one workstations. The extended reach allows more flexible positioning than typical desktop stands. Overall, the arm provides strong utility and flexibility for its price, making it a solid value for adjustable monitor setups.
