I have a lot of land with my house, but the house itself has no porches. My grandmother had a screened section on her porch, she had 2 chairs and a twin size bed in it and called it her sleeping porch. I used to curl up there and take naps without worrying about bugs. I got this to mimic that without spending thousands on a construction project. It’s a lot larger than I’d expected, which is wonderful, and I can stand up in it everywhere. Now, I’m only 5’2″, so that’s not saying much!! Lol! But it is truly tall and roomy. The sides slant, so it’s not like a truly square pop up tent, but it’s still got plenty of room for a table and chairs or an inflatable mattress and chairs. It’s winter here now, so I only put it up to make sure I could and that all the parts were in the box, which they were. It took me about 20 minutes from opening the box to walking around inside. I feel it’s worth getting for some bug free summer shade.
This canopy takes about 10 minutes to assemble with 1 person and offers a space large enough to hold a full-size table or several chairs inside a screened off area. The fabric is on par with most camping tents and assembly uses the same principles, with 2 fiberglass flex poles in an “X” pattern across the roofline, and shorter solid metal poles supporting each of the 4 sides. It’s tall enough for an adult to stand up in and move about comfortably, which is rare with this type of equipment.
The canopy is screened on all sides, but does come with a sun shade to cover one of the sides. There are zippers on 2 opposite sides for entry and exit. There is no bottom or rain shade included, as this is a canopy, not a tent. I found that if the bottom legs are spread wide apart, the zipper does not like to close all the way to the bottom. They need to be adjusted and staked down in the right position for the zippers to operate smoothly.
Even with screens on all sides, this canopy is subject to being blown around in light winds. Therefore, it’s really important it’s staked down and secured with the included stakes and ropes.
We got this to watch outdoor movies on the projector without getting attacked by bugs. Even though some mosquitoes occasionally find their way in, it’s way less than without the tent, which has made this a great addition not only to our camping trips, but to backyard fun with the kids.
Great Quality with lots of room
This Canopy tent is now a cherished addition to our camping gear. It is a top-notch product that exceeded our expectations on multiple fronts. The room inside the tent is spacious, comfortably accommodating a large campground picnic table with room to spare. It created a cozy, communal area for us to dine, play games, and connect without feeling cramped.
One of the standout features of this canopy tent is the added sun wall. It not only protected us from the elements but also provided an increased level of privacy at our campsite. This feature made our outdoor living experience feel more intimate and secure. The tent’s construction is sturdy, promising durability and long-term use. We look forward to many more camping trips with this screen house room as a staple in our setup. I have to say that I absolutely LOVE this screen tent. It’s roomy, provides privacy, and enhances our overall camping experience. The benefits and features of this canopy tent make it a worthwhile investment for any camping enthusiast. Highly recommended!
Great Screened Canopy Te
This screened canopy tent is nice looking and it is great quality. Overall, this screen tent is well made and the craftsmanship is really nice. We got this for my son and he loves it.
A spacious, bugfree outdoor shelter thats great value for the size
This Amazon Basics screened canopy tent turned out to be a really solid bit of kit for the price. The footprint is huge – plenty of room for a table and chairs, or a few people standing comfortably – and the full mesh enclosure is brilliant for keeping midges, flies and wasps out while still letting the breeze through. It’s ideal as a camp kitchen, a dining area, or just a shaded “extra room” in the garden.
Setup is fairly straightforward as long as you follow the order in the instructions. It’s definitely easier with two people, especially if there’s any wind, but once it’s up the frame feels stable and secure. The included stakes help anchor it, and the structure doesn’t wobble or feel flimsy. The tapered design means it’s not a full weather shelter – it’s more about shade and bug protection than heavy rain – but that’s exactly what it’s designed for.
The single included shade panel is useful for blocking sun or wind on one side, though it’s a shame you can’t buy extras to fully enclose more sides. There’s no groundsheet, but that’s normal for this type of screened gazebo.
Packed away, it’s about what you’d expect for something this size: not ultralight, but manageable for short walks from the car. The carry bag is decent enough as long as you’re not rough with it.
Overall, it’s a very good value alternative to the more expensive event shelters on the market. If you want a large, airy, bugproof space for camping, garden gatherings or beach days without spending a fortune, this is a genuinely solid option.
Easy one person setup. Withstood 5 hours of 20 – 40 mph wonds at Tuttle Creek Campground. No damage. Used the 24 inch tent stakes.
Easy tear down and finally a storage bag that everything fits into and closes up easily .
Use the guy wires to stske down screen house.
Very practical. Worth it.
I really like this canopy. Easy to put up in about 5 minutes. It is tall. It goes well over picnic tables. Love the head room. I wish there was more than 1 wall panel, but you can move it to any side easily. Held up well in a rough 6 days of storming, if you know how to secure a tent. Giving a 5 because it’s worth the money as well.
Rapporto qualit prezzo perfetto. Non si trovano prodotti simili a questo prezzo nelle rivendite fisiche.
Excellent canopy tent for camping! Perfectly sized to fit over a standard campground picnic table. Easy for two people to set up and it fits nicely back in the bag for storage. The dark mesh material makes it very easy to see through, so you never feel claustrophobic inside. And we also love the extra panel that can be clipped on for shade or rain protection. Tie downs should work for windy conditions, but we haven’t encountered stormy weather yet. The only downside is the hard-to-reach clip for hanging a lantern or fan and the sharp metal edges on the poles that may eventually cause damage to the fabric.
