XXL-Insektenschutz & flexibler Schatten – Ideal für Garten und Camping und Whirlpool
Ich suchte ein ausreichend groes Zelt, um meinen Whirlpool (Durchmesser 1,80m) unterbringen zu knnen. Ich habe daher im Rahmen des Vine-Programms dieses 3,66 x 3,66 m groe Amazon Basics Zelt bestellt und in den ersten warmen Mrztagen getestet. Hier sind meine Erfahrungen im Detail:
Aufbau & Stabilitt:
Es ist kein Pop-up-Zelt, sondern nutzt ein System aus Metall- und Fiberglasstangen. Der Aufbau ohne Werkzeug ist logisch. Aufgrund der enormen Spannweite von ber 3,5 Metern sollte man meinen, zwingend zwei Personen zu bentigen. Denkste! Das Zelt lsst sich hervorragend alleine aufstellen. Einmal mit den mitgelieferten Erdngeln fixiert, steht die Konstruktion dank der flexiblen Fiberglas-Elemente auch bei leichtem Wind berraschend stabil und wirkt nicht so starr wie reine Billig-Pavillons.
Sonnenschutz & das “Schatten-Plus”:
Das Material bietet UPF 50+ Schutz (wir werden das im Sommer sehen). Ein echtes Highlight ist die einzelne, bewegliche Sonnenblende. Man kann sie je nach Sonnenstand an den Seiten verschieben — so sitzt man auch bei tiefstehender Abendsonne nicht im Blendbereich. Die Belftung durch die vier Netzseiten ist hervorragend, es entsteht kein Hitzestau. Ich habe die Plane fest angebracht, weil ich sie als Sichtschutz nutze. Ich htte mir gewnscht, dass mindestens zwei Planen dabei gewesen wren.
Insektenschutz & Regen:
Die Reiverschlsse an den Netzgittern schlieen bndig ab, sodass Wespen beim Essen oder Mcken am Abend keine Chance haben.
Hinweis zum Wetter: Das Zelt ist primr als Sonnenschutz konzipiert. Bei leichtem Regen perlt das Wasser dank des beschichteten Polyesters gut ab. Bei starkem Dauerregen oder Sturm sollte man es jedoch eventuell abbauen, da sich auf der groen Dachflche Wasserscke bilden knnten und die Konstruktion dafr nicht ausgelegt ist. Das ist bei mir nicht passiert, obwohl am Ende der schnen Tage wirklich viel Wasser vom Himmel gekommen ist. Ich werde das Zelt nicht abbauen, was ja auch nicht der Sinn ist, denn ich mchte einen Schutz fr meinen Whirlpool haben, damit keine Bltter o.. hineinfallen knnen.
Transport & Tragetasche:
Das Zelt kommt in einer passgenauen Tragetasche. Diese wirkt robust genug fr den regelmigen Transport im Auto oder Wohnmobil. Das Packma ist kompakt genug, um nicht das ganze Gepckabteil zu blockieren — ein groer Vorteil gegenber sperrigen Falt-Pavillons. Da kommt das Zelt aber erst wieder am Ende der Saison hinein, falls das Material die Sonneneinstrahlung berlebt haben sollte. Ich habe da so meine Erfahrungen gemacht… Warten wir es ab.
Fazit:
Wer viel geschtzte Flche (fast 14 m) sucht und Wert auf Insektenfreiheit legt, bekommt hier eine durchdachte Lsung.

Spacious and Secure Shelter for Enjoying the Outdoors Without the Bugs
I found this screened canopy tent to be a fantastic solution for my garden gatherings, providing a massive 366cm x 366cm footprint that easily accommodated my full patio dining set. The height is particularly impressive; at 234cm, I never felt cramped, and even my taller friends could move around freely without ducking. Setting up the steel frame was more intuitive than I expected, and the grey and orange colour scheme gives it a modern, high-visibility look that stood out nicely against the lawn without being an eyesore.
The mesh screening is the real highlight for me, as it allowed a lovely breeze to flow through while keeping midges and wasps completely at bay during my afternoon tea. I was pleased to find that the zips on the doors are sturdy and don’t snag, which is often a frustration with larger tents. Even when the wind picked up slightly, the structure felt planted and secure once I had the guy lines tensioned. It has transformed my outdoor space into a much more usable “extra room” where I can relax comfortably regardless of the local insect population.

Imballo adeguato, di dimensioni e peso non esagerati.
Dal cartone esce una borsa di dimensioni assolutamente trasportabili nella quale si trovano separatamente la tenda e la struttura componibile.
Il montaggio risulta facile e intuitivo e la qualit dei materiali la consueta (ottima) dei prodotti Amazon Basic.
La cosa che mi ha sorpreso in positivo la dimensione, davvero enorme. In pratica possibile metterci un tavolo comodo per 4 persone e di fatto si tratta di un gazebo installabile ovunque in pochi minuti.
Anche il fatto che abbia due lati chiusi e due aperti (con zanzariera) molto comodo in quanto permette, secondo le circostanze, di proteggere i lati al vento e lasciare aperti gli altri due o vice-versa. Il che la rende perfetta anche per la spiaggia (ci stanno senza problemi due lettini o sdraio) o altre situazioni all’aria aperta.
Ovviamente non fatta per resistere a venti imponenti e a proteggere da forti temporali ma la struttura sicuramente adeguata a reggere brezze sostenute e a riparare da piovaschi.
Decisamente un ottimo prodotto a un prezzo assolutamente adeguato.
Good value for the price
This is a solid piece of outdoor gear, especially if you’re looking for a bug-free space for camping, the beach, or the backyard. The first thing to keep in mind is the size. When packed in its carrying bag it’s fairly large and has some weight to it, so this isn’t something you’ll want to carry for long distances.
Setting it up is actually easier than I expected. The structure works similarly to many camping tents, with flexible poles crossing over the roof and additional poles supporting the sides. One person can assemble it in 15 minutes.
Once it’s up, the shelter feels surprisingly spacious. There’s enough headroom for an adult to stand comfortably. Inside also there’s plenty of room for chairs or a table.
The mesh screening does a good job keeping bugs out while still allowing airflow and overall it makes a huge difference compared to sitting outside without protection. One of the sides can also be covered with a sunshade panel, which helps block sunlight and adds a bit of privacy.
Because it’s essentially a canopy and not a fully enclosed tent, it doesn’t have a floor or full rain protection. That means it’s not really meant for overnight camping unless the weather is very calm and dry. Stability is decent as long as you secure it properly. Once anchored, it feels much more stable and holds its shape well.
Overall, this is a roomy and practical screened shelter that works great for outdoor gatherings without constantly dealing with bugs. To me it offers a lot of usable space and good value for the price.
Well made and priced utility canopy
I have pictured this in its original bag next to a medium sized labradorite dog to give an idea of the size – Essentially you will need to carry this in a car boot and due to size and weight the range from the car will be limited to short trips down to a nearby beach or the like, anything over about half a mile would be pretty hard work. The shelter itself is pretty easy to put up and does not take too long. When erected it is nicely stable and I suspect when it is tied down properly should resist some strong winds. To my mind due to the open nature of the shelter I do not think it is suitable for overnight camping in anything but the most benign of conditions. Overall I think this is a solid shelter at a good price point.
Perfect bug tent for your camping
This tent is exactly what I needed. Perfect for group of 4 to 5 people with enough space to put the table and cook. Easy to setup and love the shade it provides for one side to block the direct sunlight.
Reliable and Easy Pop-Up Screened Shelte
I am so happy we picked up this Amazon Basics canopy. Honestly, the ease of installation is what impressed me most. Getting it set up and taken down is a snap—we didn’t need any tools, and one person can handle most of the work, which makes a huge difference when you just want to relax. It’s a lifesaver for backyard gatherings or camping when insects are out, thanks to the tight-knit weave of the screening.
The product quality is really solid for the price point. It held up well both in the woods by a lake and at a windy beach, which is pretty impressive. The frame feels stable and the material is quite durable, offering decent sun protection, which is a must. One person can pack it down neatly into the included bag, making it super portable, but is easier with two people.
This canopy delivers fantastic value for the money and is a reliable shelter we’ll be using constantly.
Perfect anywhere
This is lightweight, easy to put up, and goes wherever I do. The 12’x12′ size is big enough to go over the picnic table at the lake or just provide bug free shade for my loungers. This is a great summer investment. Very good quality.
