This certainly fills up the space between the counter and upper cabinets. I appreciate the larger capacity and make this a go to for my and my hubby’s meals.
Appreciate the included basket, baking dish and grilling tray. Other than bake and air fry I haven’t tried the other functions yet.
This kicks out a lot of heat through the back so pull it away from your cabinets otherwise it heats up your cabinet boxes too. (Ask me how I know)
Easy to use, controls are touch. Airfryer works as it should. This is a solid, good looking piece.
Best oven combo yet!
This air fryer oven has turned out to be the best one I have tried. Has a capacity comparable to the large ninja xl pro and though the settings aren’t quite as simple I find it cooks better, is easier to clean and will even grill a steak decently. I have used all the functions and every setting works really well, even bakes a loaf of bread well so am extremely happy with it. Favorite things are the grill that comes with it that flips over for a griddle and the extra pans which with others you have to buy individually if they even have them. First oven I have seen with a 9 x 13 pan that you can divide in two and a grill and griddle so I highly recommend this oven. For the price you can’t beat it and I own many Cuisinart appliances and have no complaints about any of them.
This oven is large in total size and the top panel is not part of the internal space. Even though the top panel does not contribute to the total space, the design purpose helps cook food evenly. I have this oven stored inside a sliding out drawer under my kitchen counter and looks pleasant. The display is clear and has many functions. The manual is necessary since there are different buttons for different settings and different on/off, temperature, modes, pause/play. There is also a chart in the manual that shows which rack to use and what pan or grill or basket to use. It was too small, so I took a picture and printed in a full page size to clearly tell what rack goes one what level for different purposes. It makes little noise and the beep is also soft. Oftentimes I don’t realize my food is done because the heat dispersement is not that noticeable and in the airfry function, it immediately starts (no preheating needed).
My wife is a retired chef and I’ve always loved buying her kitchen gadgets. I bought her an Merrill “toaster oven”; nearly the same price as this but was so impossible to clean that she refused to use it anymore. So we gave that away and bought another brand – not enough power and you had to set the temp and time, and WAIT for it to get to the temp and then hit the Start button, or it would keep cooking. The Cuisinart is a thing of absolute beauty, and is an absolute beast of an appliance. My wife barely even uses her regular oven anymore; she bakes perfect cornbread in the Cuisinart. This thing goes from very low temps to dehydrate things, to 450 degrees, and it doesn’t take but a minute to get up to temp with the 1800 watts. I use the air fryer all the time and it’s really handy that that’s the first setting when you wake it up. It’s so intuitive and easy to use; there’s no confusion; it’s just laid out so logically that I didn’t even think about looking at the instructions. It pairs well with our SS-16BKS dual coffee station. I’m a Cuisinart fan.
I have had the Air fryer oven for about a week. So far I have enjoyed it. I made hamburgers and they were delicious and it did not smoke up my kitchen. I made a casserole in the included pan and it worked great, it was an easy clean up unlike my glass casserole dishes. I used the air fryer basket to make chicken nuggets and French fries together. I like the light to check my food.
The negatives are the drip tray is streaked and stained after I cooked bacon in the basket. No matter what I clean it with it’s still stained. I don’t like the function having to be pressed to each individual cook mode, why couldn’t it be made to press the mode I wanted. I have gone past my button and had to do the function again. Not a deal breaker but I don’t like it. Many recipes take longer to cook than the recipe time stated. I haven’t managed to toast my bread the way I like it yet. The main complaint is my fault, I specifically wanted an air fryer with microwave capabilities and found a Cuisinart that was a combo but in ordering I ordered the wrong one.
Overall this is a very good oven and I would buy it again.
Friteuse air Cuisina
Excellent toaster oven. Replaced a kitchen aid one that had lots of oil accumulation and was dying. The air fryer basket sits on a slide-in tray, thus catching crumbs and oil that can then be easily cleaned and prevents oil buildup in the oven.
Controls are easy to use and very intuitive. Included attachments are more than sufficient for most home cooks. Thermometer probe is useful for roasts and easy to use, clean and store away.
This oven is extra large, so measure your space first and leave the mfr advised space clear around the top, sides and back.
Toaster ovens should be plugged directly into the wall, especially 1800w ones like this is.
I am almost hesitant to write a review yet. I purchased the Cuisinart TOA65 previously and had to have it replace twice = 3 airfryers in 3 years. The knobs would go wonky. The last one’s knobs started to act up again. I thought I would try this style Cuisinart that has no knobs. I am hoping it will last. This airfryer oven is much larger at .9cu ft., therefore the airfrying aspect of this one isn’t as powerful., but at 1800 watts it is the most powerful fryer for home use. It heats up quickly and is very quiet. It is a larger footprint and would work best if not placed under cabinets. It is a nice looking unit and comes with very nice accessories.
Pros: Bakes, roast and toast well. Airfrying could be a little more powerful, but I am very happy so far. The accessories are very nice and it does come with a 9×13 pan and grill/griddle and fry basket. The crumb tray slides out easily to the front and the tray is pretty non stick, but will still stain. Overall, it looks clean after use. It does sit up about an inch from the counter which is good. I did put a welding cloth on top of the oven and store the griddle on top of the unit. I find the upper cabinets are shielded from the heat pretty well this way and not very visible, so I am not worried about that any more. It does come with a digital temp probe, but I haven’t used it. I have to say it does roast vegetables better than the other airfryer due to it’s larger size. They roast nicely with being burned. The other surprise was that the 9×13 pan slides into the unit without needing a rack. I like that. So far, it’s pretty non stick too.
I also like that I can shut the oven off at the power button, but if I need to add more time or adjust the temp, the settings remain active without starting all over. Also, the light is very nice and stays on just long enough to check your food. Finally, trays or racks set on the middle setting have a stop on the side to keep your pan or rack from pulling all the way out. The pizza setting for frozen pizzas is the best I have ever had. Just perfect.
Cons: Selecting the mode of cooking is a little tedious. I wish you could touch the function you want and start. Instead there are arrows that need to be touched until the mode of cooking is reached. Not a big deal, but could be better.
The timer buzzer is very soft. I can barely hear it when I am nearby, but my husband can’t hear it at all. Very low. I’m sure there were complaints about the timer being too loud before. I do wish it was just a little louder.
All in all, I am very happy with my new airfryer oven and I do recommend it. Being able to use a 9×13 pan (without handles) is a game changer. I rarely turn on my oven and my microwave is never used to reheat foods now.
If the controls on this oven start to go wonky, I will be back to change my review. I am hoping to have a few years enjoying my airfryer oven. So far it just about perfect.
Cuisinart X-Lg air frye
Works great! Have used air fryer, bake and broil options to date with no issues whatsoever. It does take up more counter space than my previous air fryer but that was to be expected!
Great Air Fryer Oven so fa
I’m loving this oven but have only had it a little over a week. Time will tell if it continues to perform this well. So far I have used this attractive (but fair size) oven to airfry (nice and crispy) and bake and all has turned out really good! Fingers crossed I will continue loving it. 🙂
