Great earbuds… comfortable to wear, super stable mounting on ears, super easy to pair, and crystal clear sound! The 60 hour battery operated charging case is an added bonus! My wife’s $600 hearing aids didn’t come with one. Also, she is deaf in one ear, and these bone conduction earbuds allow her to hear her music in perfect stereo with both ears, for hours without fatigue! We don’t need the translaton facilities, but it would have been awesome to have had these earbuds on our recent trip to Europe. It would be even better if she could turn on the microphones so she could hear surrounding sounds with both ears!
I would may go a 3.5 for a rating on these. As regualr bluetooth headphones these seem ok and confortable and do not full cover the ear. The case and the earbuds are a little larger than other earbuds I have but its not too large and still fits easily in a pocket if desired. When it comes to translation I am not certain im completely sold yet. I havent had much chance for real world application of the function yet but to try and test it out I have tried to have it translate some YouTube videos back to English for me with mixed results. The earbuds come with some detailed instructions but I still had a little difficulty with initial setup. Once you are synced to your phone and have the correct app setup you can attempt to translate live conversations or there are other options like just recording or transcribing a conversation without translation. In attempts to translate a “live” conversation from YouTube it sometime would catch a chunk of the conversation and translate what appeared to be correct and other times it appeared to skip entire chunks of the conversation. I think if you did this perhaps slowly and space out the conversation a little it might be more successful. I want to keep experimenting with these and try to use them as a tool to help with language learning so we will see how that goes in the long run.
All-day comfort in the office
I wear these from morning meetings to evening calls. They’re so light I barely notice them, and the open fit means I can still hear my colleagues when they walk over. Great battery!
