Great portable solution for important document storage
Prior to this purchase, we had been storing important papers in individual folders in a larger filing cabinet. While that may be fine for some things, I was excited to be able to store critical documents, like passports, birth certificates, and social security cards in a single location. I also love that this has a lock and is fireproof (although I obviously did not test that).
It appears to be well made and the zipper slides smoothly and is secure. The sheet protectors are fantastic for holding and protecting documents, like birth certificates. If you filled all 100 protectors, I think it might be a bit hard to fit everything inside, but I don’t have that many papers to include, so the overall size works for me and keeps it manageable. The zippered pocket is great for passports or smaller items.
Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase!
Durable and Fireproof with lots of space!
Fantastic fire proof binder! It comes loaded with plastic sheets a ton of them actually that you could use to not only store valuable documents but also photographs and such. The left side of the file organizer contains a bunch of small pockets useful for storing passports, ID cards, cash, or bank cards. I find it super convenient to use and it definitely has a heavy good quality feel to it. There is also a lock as well, it’s a combination lock. To lock it you essentially push the two metal zippers into the lock which then holds them in place. To reset the lock you have to use a reset tool which I did not see provided to me. But you essentially use a very sharp and small pointy stick maybe the end of a pen and push it into a small hole on the lock. Overall I’m very happy with Togo’s product and its sturdiness!
Very functional and convenie
Compared to my bulky fireproof box this is definitely the one to pick
Easy well made grab and go handles
Zipper slides easily to open flat interior
Clear pockets will make your documents easy to see and find
No more having to deal with a stack of folded documents
I’m planning on using index tabs to make it even easier to find what I need
The ring mechanism is strong
Not flimsy
There are slip pockets to store unused credit cards or small items
Zip entry compartment can also be used to store other valuable items
The gusseted back pocket is large enough to store bulkier items
I plan on putting some vintage coins and jewelry items in it
There are so many options for you to be able to keep your items safe
The combination lock is an added plus
My box has a key lock which I find inconvenient definitely not a grab and go situation because I keep the key separate from the box
Very well constructed
Not cheap looking at all
One of the best things I like is the fact that I can quickly grab and go
Small enough to be stored in a small out of the way area
Can you afford to lose those documents that are not replaceable?
The Ultimate Peace-of-Mind Organizer — Heavy-Duty Protection & Massive Storage!
I’ve been looking for a secure way to organize our household’s most critical paperwork, and the Tamfile fireproof document organizer has completely exceeded my expectations. Excited to be moving my files into it, I finally feel like I have a reliable system in place. It feels incredibly premium and rugged right out of the box.
If you are trying to decide if this is worth it, here are the top three most important features you need to know about:
1. Certified Fireproof & Water-Resistant ProtectionThe standout feature is definitely the safety rating. The outer shell is built with a thick, flame-retardant silicone-coated fiberglass that passed the UL94 V0/5VA flame-retardant test. It also features a rigid EVA hard shell, which gives it impact resistance against drops. On top of that, the fabric is water-resistant to repel unexpected splashes or spills. Note: As the company mentions, this doesn’t mean it can sit in a massive fire indefinitely, but it gives you that crucial window of protection for your birth certificates, contracts, and passports during an emergency.
2. Massive Storage Capacity with Built-in ExtrasThis 3-ring binder is a total beast when it comes to space. It features a heavy-duty 1.5-inch D-ring mechanism that can hold up to 400+ sheets of paper. What I love is that it comes pre-packed with 100 clear sheet protectors (measuring 9.25 x 11.26 inches), so you don’t have to buy anything extra to start organizing photos, receipts, or invoices. The interior multi-layer design includes a deep main pocket and several zippered pouches that are perfect for holding smaller valuables, pens, and backup USB drives.
3. Built-in 3-Digit Combination LockPrivacy is incredibly important when you’re storing things like deeds, wills, and financial records. This binder features a built-in 3-digit combination lock that lets you set your own personalized code. The double metal zippers glide super smoothly and snap securely into the lock mechanism.
As a bonus, the outer surface is entirely dust-resistant, so it doesn’t pick up lint but it does pick up random pet hair. But it’s brand new out of the box and as it acclimatesto the environment it might not
Portability & Final Thoughts
Even with all this space, it maintains a highly portable profile at 13.8 x 12 x 3 inches. It easily slides into a standard backpack or briefcase, and the comfortable carrying handle makes it easy to grab-and-go. Whether you are a student tracking class notes, a professional handling client files, or a traveler keeping tickets secure, this adapts to everything.
Tamfile also stands firmly behind their product with excellent customer support if you ever run into issues.
I highly recommend this to anyone looking to secure their important documents!
You can adapt this thing to be what you want. You can add any kind of office supply storage folder you like. You bought this for its ability to store documents but the creativity is endless so there’s no reason why you can’t make it all you want it to be.
I want to make one note that this binder came double boxed it came in a very well packaged manufacturer box with styrofoam protector as well as plastic and in a big amazon box.
What I found when I got into this double box package was the 100 page protectors were running loose inside the binder the binder rings were open. And it took more than a minute to get them all back on the binder because they’re very thin and very slippery. I am not going to take a star away from the manufacturer for things they cannot control.
But I think if I were the manufacturer I would have packaged the organizer page protectors in its package by itself and give me the option to take them out and use them or not but I really didn’t appreciate them exploded inside the binder.
Well Organized and Packed With Useful Storage Features
This document organizer has a thoughtful layout and gives you several ways to keep important papers and smaller items together in one place. The 1.5-inch D-ring binder is the main feature, and the included 100 clear sheet protectors give you plenty of room for documents, certificates, insurance papers, financial records, or other letter-size paperwork you want to keep organized.
I also like the storage built into the inside cover. There is a larger pocket, a zippered mesh pocket, card slots, pen holders, and additional spaces for smaller items. That makes the case more useful than a basic binder because you have room for things such as passports, USB drives, cards, and other items you might want stored with your documents.
The hard-sided case feels more substantial than a soft document bag, and the zipper closes everything inside. The combination lock is another useful feature if you want an extra level of privacy. Setting the combination is straightforward once you follow the included steps.
The manufacturer describes the case as fireproof and water-resistant. I would treat those features as extra protection rather than assume this replaces a rated home safe, since I have not personally subjected the case to a fire or water test.
Overall, the organization is what stands out most to me. The combination of the binder, 100 sheet protectors, multiple storage pockets, hard exterior, handle, zipper, and lock makes this a practical way to keep important household documents together instead of scattered across several folders or drawers.
Functional small fire-resistant case that is easy to grab when you need to go quickly.
I took on a personal project this year to upgrade my older fire boxes with something I can organize and grab quickly if I need to run due to fire or flood. My older safes are not user-friendly, and with today’s digital storage, they are really obsolete. After reviewing several companies and designs, I settled on Tamifile because they offer a novel selection that is more like a briefcase than steel cases or blocks of concrete. I’ve looked at a few and actually purchased one in the past. When I saw this one, I had to check it out.
Compared with my original Tamifile case, which is soft-sided and about 4 inches thick when loaded, the big difference is the hard side. Both cases have similar pocket arrangements and 3-ring binder configurations. It’s sturdy and a very easy way to organize critical papers and documents. Since the outside is a “hard case” design, it should take some abuse and survive being run over. The zipper is nice and should help keep documents dry as long as it’s not submerged in water. A little rain or a drop onto damp ground will not hurt it. If I have anything negative to say, it’s about the included document sleeves. My old one has some very nice pockets that can hold more than one sheet of paper, so I’ll move some of those over. The sleeves supplied are great for displaying a portfolio or pictures.
In summary, the case is great, reasonably priced, and rugged. It offers lots of storage options and plenty of room to carry the items you really need. Recommended without reservations.
Very well made fireproof, small, portable file organizer with zippered lock
This fireproof file organizer is about the size of a 15″ laptop. It has two nylon handles for carrying. It locks using a numeric spin keypad if desired. The outside of the organizer is a tough, hardened fiberglass material that is rated very high for fire protection. I looked up the fireproof rating on this file organizer and it was at the top of the rating scale for these types of products. The inside of the bag has a three ringed notebook type mechanism that includes 100 plastic sleeves for document storage. If you didn’t want the plastic sleeves they can be easily removed to allow more space for other documents within the organizer. Documents that are larger than a standard sheet of copy paper would have to be folded to fit within this organizer. The organizer also has a file pocket on one side where other documents may be placed to hold them separate from the majority of the items in the organizer. There are also smaller compartments for pens and other small items like a pen drive. I have another fireproof bag that this organizer fits into without difficulty. I place the organizer in the fireproof bag to provide even greater protection. The bag closes with a zipper closure. The zippers have long pull tags with a circular hole that when pulled tight from either side come together so that they can be placed in the lock and secured. When the correct combination is used for the lock, a side latch on the lock releases the zipper tags and the organizer can be opened.
