Excellent security bar. I use these on my two entrance doors. Once installed I went outside and tried to open the doors. The doors only budged about an inch. Not enough to get a bar of some sort into the jam and force door open. My wife feels more secure now using these devices. I recommend them to anyone looking for security bars.
My balcony sliding door has sunk slightly over time and no longer catches the top track properly. Because of that, the door has actually fallen inward twice, which obviously made me uneasy about security, among other things.
While I decide whether to repair or fully replace the door, I bought this security bar as a temporary and economical solution, and it has been perfect for that. It installs in seconds and feels very sturdy once it’s in place. Now the door physically cannot fall inward, which gives me peace of mind when I’m home and especially when I’m away.
It has also been extremely windy the past few days, and honestly if I hadn’t had this bar in place I probably would have been in panic mode worrying about the door blowing open or shifting again.
I also like that it’s adjustable and doesn’t require any drilling or permanent installation. It comes with a second bar that can be placed in the track for added security to prevent the door from sliding open, which I haven’t needed to use yet.
Overall, it’s economical, simple, adjustable, and easy to use.
If you have a sliding door that doesn’t feel secure or has alignment issues like mine, this is a very simple and effective fix.

I’ve just put it together easily. Even though I live in a small building with gated key entry sometimes it doesn’t close behind you or someone blocks it open so they can get back in & not deal w a key. (That’s just too difficult for them.)They don’t think or selfishly care there may be consequences to doing that. Nevertheless, I’ve gotten a little paranoid lately and this bar should be of some piece of mind. After putting it under the door knob I tried opening the door and it wouldn’t. So, so far, so good. Four stars only because it’s too soon to determine security or stability.

I like that it’s adjustable and doesn’t require any permanent installation. It gives me confidence knowing we have added protection, especially at night or when we’re away. It’s well made, simple to use, and definitely worth having for anyone looking to improve their home security.
