This is a really fun little addition to a kids water table! The water flow is strong, and I love that it’s rechargeable and cordless, so there’s no cord to deal with while the kids are playing. The different flow settings are also nice because you can adjust it depending on how much water action you want.
The suction cup keeps it in place pretty well, and the little rain/fountain effect definitely makes the water table more entertaining. It adds that extra element that keeps the kids playing and experimenting with the water longer.
My only hesitation is the price. I do think it’s a great product and works well, but there are similar rechargeable water-table pumps available online for significantly less. For what it is, I’d personally love to see the price come down a bit. I feel like $40 is a bit steep.
Overall, a fun and useful water-table upgrade..
Great Water-Saving Upgrade for a Kids Water Table
I got this rechargeable water table pump for my grandkids to use with their water table during the summer.
Until now, we had been using a garden hose to keep water running because they love seeing the water flow and watching the moving parts on the water table. This pump is a much better solution because it recycles the same water instead of wasting water from the hose.
The kids really enjoy it. It adds movement and fun to the water table, and the flow is strong enough to keep them interested. The battery also lasts long enough for their playtime, and by the time it runs down, the kids are usually ready to finish anyway.
i like that you need a regular USB-C cable to charge so you can my phone cable.
I also like the look of it. The colors are nice and fun for kids, and the pump looks durable and well made. It feels like it should handle outdoor summer play.
Overall, this is a great water table accessory. It saves water, keeps the kids entertained, looks nice, and is easy to use without needing to keep a hose running the whole time.
So Far...So Fun!
This is actually the second water table pump because the first style didn’t fit our table properly. The old pump needed to be mounted on the top level but our table was too narrow for that. Also, the baby kept pulling out the intake tube. This pump sits in the bottom trough and pumps the water to the upper levels. Another issue to be aware of when shopping around for pumps is that, with our old pump, it could get splashed but not get wet so it had to be removed from the adhesive sticker and brought inside. This new pump is manufactured to get wet, working like a sump pump. When you remove it, you want to let the water inside the unit drain thoroughly before you track water throughout your house and dry the base before you plug it into the charger. It loses a star because there are no use or care instructions included.
The suction cups keep the base secure and the arms are like individual knuckles connected to allow the two arms to be positioned in many different ways.
My unit came 60% charged…how do I know that? There is a LED screen that is very clear to read when the unit is charging. It’s great for the little ones…instead of asking me repeatedly if it’s done charging.
On the unit I received, one of the sticker eyes was not cut properly, but other than that, I see no other flaws. Longevity remains to be seen and if it dies right after I write this, I’ll let you know!
Well built, great water flow, fun!
What a great addition this toy is to summertime water play! It’s basically a small water pump disguised as a blue monster with outrageous spraying tentacles. The water gets sucked into the monster pump from the bottom so all you have to do is sit in in an inch or two of water–it has suction feet to hold it in place–press the power button, and the action begins! The two octopus arms screw onto the pump body at the top and are much longer, larger, and industrial strength than I would have guessed. There are joints all along both arms so that they can be positioned in a hundred different ways. There are 3 different spray intensities which only add to the fun (chaos!). The rechargeable battery provides around 1.5 hours of run time and there is a digital display that shows the battery percentage. A charging cord is included but not a wall adapter. This toy really adds another dimension of entertainment to the standard water table. But the blue monster will work in anything that holds water and since there is no need to plug in a power cord any birdbath or water feature in the near vicinity can become an instant octopus playground. This is a well built item, made of heavy strong plastic material that is easy to clean and use. Would make a great gift. Definitely recommend.
I bought my grandson a water table last year, and this is the accessory that changed how it gets used. A water table on its own is a tub of water. Add moving water and the kids stop just splashing and start building. They dam it, redirect it, put things in the flow to see what happens. What they’re doing is intuitive fluid dynamics, and they’re picking it up years before anyone will hand them a textbook that puts a name to it. That’s the part I like most about it.
The practical details hold up. Cordless is the right call for something kids are moving around in water, with no cord to trip over or outlet to worry about near a wet play area. The suction cup base grips well enough that it stays put through normal play, and the base comes off for cleaning, which is useful since anything sitting in a water table collects debris over a season. Three flow modes give a range from a gentle rain to a stronger stream, and the kids figure out the button on their own quickly.
One thing to note from the listing that’s easy to miss: it needs a standard 5V charger, not a fast charger. Using a modern high-output USB brick will keep it from charging correctly. Worth checking what you plug it into before assuming the unit is defective.
Runtime is in the range of an hour and a half on a charge, which has been plenty for a play session. It gets put away before the battery becomes an issue.
Excellent Addition to the Children's Water Table!
This little octopus water table pump has proven to be an excellent addition to my grandkids’ water table! They play with this table for hours on end and were so excited when I turned on this small water fountain! It has two different hoses that spray water into the table. Simply set the pump in the water and turn it on, water starts to flow immediately. The pump stays upright on the table even when the water is flowing. The water pressure from these hoses is perfect — not too low and not too high — allowing the kids to play without getting soaked from uncontrolled water spray. The pump lasted for more than one hour, at which time we turned it off so I cannot attest to how much longer it would have operated. An excellent addition to this pump is that it is rechargeable and charges to full in about one hour. This has proven to be a perfect addition to something that the children already enjoyed, adding even more fun to something they played with for hours on end!
