Great Budget Case, Easy on the eyes.
Great budget mATX case, looks great, easy to build in. I like that both glass panels easily remove for building. Makes for plenty of room to get your hands into places. Comes with plenty of zip tie mounting holes for cable management.
My only con is that while these are aRGB fans, they are fixed speed, which can be loud. Wish they were PWM.
Solid case for the price.
It’s a great case with plenty of room in it. You don’t see a lot of case around this price point that offer its quality and design. It is easy to open, you can pull off each panel at the top and life it from the bottom. It looks clean and spacious. Cable management is really easy since it provides three Velcro ties and it comes with four zip ties. I’ve ran into no cooling issues with it so far but all the fans are exhaust fans so it will suck in a lot of dusk there is space for two 120m fans onto and one 120m fan in the back. The fans are daisy chained and are powered by one sata cable. It is a very solid case to get for its price.
This case is a tremendous value. The two sides and the front snap on and off easily with no tools. The result is a very open space to work in. The cabling is well hidden underneath the motherboard. The only issue I had was the three fans. It was not clear to me without googling that they did not need to be connected to the motherboard. Instead they are powered by your Sata power cable and the reset switch is used to control them and not to reset the computer.
Surprisingly good for the price
Honestly was super surprised with how easy this was to build in especially for the price I paid, built this computer for my Gramps who’s laptop gave out, only spent 350 bucks on it
Plenty of room in the back to cable manage and even with a non modular power supply I was easily able to hide all the cables neatly, I’m impressed
Looks are clean, build quality isn’t the greatest but what do you expect for 50 bucks it’s easily passable, fan noise isn’t bad I did have one fan making a noise but tightening a screw fixed it.
Will be looking at other Okinos cases in the future if I’m planning budget builds
Case is nicer than I imagined it’s a perfect size for micro board and perfect length for my gpu .. the argb is ok but if u add ur own controller or control with board it’s actually very nice .. fans are not pwm but its ok for what it is pricing is very fair . Over all a solid build for the price .. glass panels are great very nice looking case . Easy to build o
Compact Budget Beauty
I literally downgraded and downsized my gpu for this case. All of my components fill out the space very well. Okinos states that this case doesn’t support AIOs but it can as long as your components can clear the radiator and fans. You need low profile ram and vrms on your motherboard for it to work. One big tip I have for people pursuing an aio in this case is to ensure that your radiator fans have high air pressure. Otherwise your components may struggle thermally. I made the mistake of replacing the pre installed AIO fans with regular case fans that didn’t have enough pressure to get through the radiator and it ended up being loud and thermally restricted. Fans that come with the AIO should suffice. Also try connecting cables that block off that area before installing your AIO because it would be impossible to connect after.
Some features I really appreciate on this case are:
– GPU cable cut out on PSU basement
– Tool free design
– Recessed motherboard tray (Only reason why the AIO can be installed comfortably here)
– Sleek design for PSU basement perforations (Big upgrade over the aqua 3 in terms of appearance. It hides any cable mess a lot better)
– Overall compactness and footprint of the case
I have not encountered any thermal problems in this case. I am running an Ryzen 7800x3D and a RX 9070.
The only thing that would make this case absolutely perfect for me would be if they can figure out a built in gpu support solution. Looking at the design however, it’s difficult to find a perfect spot for it. Otherwise this case provides premium feeling for dirt cheap.
A nicely priced case with just enough features.
I like this PC case. I’ve never had an Okinos case before, but when I came upon it, I like what I saw. The PSU shroud has several color options that look nice but not the style I wanted. The tempered glass panels look nice especially with the black trim around the edges to obscure the case’s edges. The seam where the two panels meet is adequate, especially on the black case. There’s maybe a millimeter gap, at most. Each side panel is toolless but be warned of two things. 1) The retention clips are tight and I broke one immediately removing the back panel. Fortunately, there was one replacement included. 2) The lips at the bottom of the panel are great for aligning and refitting the panels to the case but not enough to keep them from falling free of the case while removing them. Assembly was easy enough, but there’s still plenty of room to clean up the appearance of cables. Knowing that this is a budget case, I still would like to have cable grommets for the cut outs to clean up the appearance. Initially, I was worried while building the case. The main body of the case is rolled steel and quite thin. I experienced a good bit of flex while building, but with the side panels install, the case ends up feeling sturdy.
My takeaways:
1. The case with non-pwm fans is occasionally less expensive with coupons. I didn’t want the e-waste.
2. Cooling is efficient for mid-level hardware (5800XT and RTX4070).
3. Since the case focuses on air-cooling only, it is pretty compact for a Micro-ATX case.
4. The vent on the lower-left side should probably have a filter.
5. I’d really appreciate at least one more replacement clip for the side panels.
The end result is that I’m happy with this purchase and the final configuration. It looks rather nice.
