Simple installation with no tools required, and it fits the muffler on my H15 mini excavator perfectly. The material resembles the silver aluminized fire-proximity suits firefighters wear around aircraft fires, giving it a substantial heat-shield appearance.
It wraps snugly around the muffler and feels secure enough that it shouldn’t work loose or fall off. My main reason for installing it was to reduce radiant heat inside the engine compartment, and it does exactly that by putting a reflective insulated barrier between the hot exhaust and nearby components.
A simple, inexpensive addition that fits well and should help protect hoses, wiring, and other components from unnecessary exhaust heat.

This heat blocking muffler blanket works pretty good, just would have liked it to wrap down and around a bit more, but still, not bad at all. Reduces the heat inside the Excavator, helping my hoses and wires to last longer.
