Nice Little Camera! I was surprised at the quality of this little camera. I mean, it’s not going to take award-winning photos or anything, but it was a huge hit with my Girl Scouts during our last campout! I set up a selfie station for the girls at every campout. This little camera was compact, lightweight, and durable enough to withstand our younger Daisy scouts, but streamlined and casual enough not to embarrass our older Junior and Cadette scouts. The fact that it’s waterproof is a huge bonus! It reminds me of the old film style disposable cameras, but without the hassle or expense of loading and developing film. I’d say it’s a good buy for any age.
Great little camera for family trips! Bought this for our family pool days and beach trips, and it’s been a total hit! I was honestly a bit skeptical given how cute and toy-like the box looks, but it actually holds up really well.
The waterproof case seals super tight—we took it right into the pool and got some awesome underwater shots without any leaks. It’s also super easy to use, so I could just pass it to my kid without worrying about her dropping it or getting it wet. The 50MP quality is clear and bright enough for outdoor sunny days, though like most cameras in this range, indoor/low-light shots can look a bit grainy.
Overall, it’s a fun, durable little camera that gave us peace of mind and great photos. Definitely worth it if you want something fun for summer adventures!
Fu This camera is great for my almost 3-year-old. She loves playing with it, turning it on, and looking at the screen. She’s still not able to use all of the functions independently, but that’s okay. I think she’ll get more comfortable with it as she gets used to the buttons and her finger strength improves.
The waterproof case is a great feature and also helps protect the camera from drops. I also like that it comes with two different straps, which gives us some flexibility in how she carries it. The buttons are a little small for her, but I think that will become easier for her with practice.
The pictures aren’t super crisp or high-quality, but that’s not really the point of this camera. It’s a fun little camera for kids to play with and take pictures, and she really enjoys using it.
Fun for Kids to Carry Around, Just Do Not Expect Real 4K Quality I ordered this for our Cancun family trip so my 6 year old daughter could have her own camera. Writing this on the flight back now.
Used: She carried this around the resort the entire trip, insisting on taking her own photos of everything. She even dragged me into the pool a few times just so she could get underwater shots of me. The camera itself is not waterproof on its own, it needs the included waterproof case to actually work underwater. You have to take it out of the case to charge it. There are a lot of features packed in, but my 6 year old only really used photo and video mode. The filters and extra settings seem more suited for older kids. Honestly, anyone younger than 6 might find this camera to be a bit much.
Quality: It claims 50MP and 4K, but this is nowhere close to real 4K. I am not an expert on image quality, but I also own a DJI Osmo Pocket 3, and this does not come anywhere near that in comparison. Movement looks choppy, and once the sun starts setting, the quality drops off noticeably.
Expectations: Expecting sharp image quality out of this feels like asking too much. This is better thought of as something for the kids to have fun taking their own photos with, while the adults handle the real photo taking on their own devices.
Overall: I did not go in expecting much, and seeing how happy she was with it, I am giving this 5 stars. That said, if I am being honest about photo and video quality alone, it is really more like a 3 or 4.
I Can't Wait to See Our Vacation Through My Kids' Eyes! What a great little camera for kids! I got this for my children to use during our upcoming vacation, and I’m probably just as excited about it as they are. I absolutely love the idea of coming home and getting to see our vacation from their point of view—the things they notice, the pictures they choose to take, and the memories that are important to them.
The included waterproof case is a huge plus, especially for a family vacation. They’ll be able to take it along for swimming, pool days, and other water activities without me having to hand over my phone or worry about an expensive camera.
I’m also impressed by how many features are packed into such a kid-friendly camera. It takes photos, records 4K video, has lots of fun filters, and even includes an 8GB memory card. I really appreciate that the wrist strap and neck strap are included too, because those will definitely come in handy while we’re sightseeing.
It’s compact and lightweight enough for the kids to carry themselves, and everything they need to start taking pictures is included in the box.
I think this is such a fun way to encourage creativity while letting kids document their own adventures. More than just another toy, they’ll actually be creating memories we can look back on together. I can’t wait to see what they capture on our trip!
Nice underwater kids camera This camera has a waterproof case that allows you to take pictures and videos underwater. The camera has a 50 megapixel resolution and 4K video. This camera is sold as a kid’s camera. It has a 2.8 inch screen for viewing the photos and videos. It also includes 32 filters that kids can play with to add to their pictures. The camera can be used at depths of approximately 10 to 16 ft so when they’re swimming they can go under and take a pic. The camera is lightweight and is good for kids between the ages of three and 16. The camera is rechargeable and has an 8 GB memory card. You can use the camera for about 2 hours on one charge. The USB recharging cord is included. Similar to your phone camera, you can play back the pictures and the video for review. The makers have put in straps for the wrist and the neck so your kids can hold on to it while they’re underwater. The younger children definitely have to have instructions for using the camera and all of its features. The kids love the camera and got really excited when they saw it. It is sturdy and will last for a long time. Easy size to carry in the swim bag.
Scuba Diver Approved! Flawless SD Card & Great Pictures As an avid scuba diver who spends a ton of time snorkeling the Keys, exploring the Florida springs, and cruising around the Caribbean , I’ve owned my fair share of waterproof cameras. I picked this one up for around $50 just to test it out and have some fun with it, and I am honestly incredibly impressed!
The real test for any underwater gear is the waterproofing, and this camera features a very unique dual-clamp system instead of the standard single clamp. I took it straight to my backyard pool, brought it down to 7 feet, and left it submerged for over half an hour. The good news? It is 100% waterproof! (Pro diver tip: I rubbed a tiny bit of regular cooking oil on the seal before submerging, which is a trick I’ve always used with my diving cameras).
For the price point, the still pictures are fantastic! They are clear, perfectly in focus, and honestly, the still shots on this actually beat out my much more expensive 4K action camera. The video quality underwater gives me a bit of a nostalgic, retro feel (it reminds me of my old 4MP Casio Exilim with its bulky underwater housing), but it still gets the job done and captures both audio and video perfectly well.
I am also really happy with the included SD card! I put it through a rigorous read/write stress test over 10 times, and it passed with absolutely zero errors. It has plenty of capacity—holding roughly 3,500 still photos (at 12 MP) or about 45 minutes of continuous video (at 1080p). Plus, the physical buttons are super easy to press while underwater, which is a huge bonus when you’re swimming around. (For the tech folks out there, Google shows the photo EXIF data stamped as a Generalplus GPCV2158). It charged up decently and via USB-C so no propietary adapter required. It also reads off the memory card when plugged directly into the computer via USB-C as well.
If you need a fun, reliable, and super affordable camera to throw in your bag for your next vacation, you really can’t go wrong here. Highly recommended!
