Pretty remarkable for such a tiny piece of equipme
I wasn’t expecting much, but honestly this over exceeded my expectations! It is extremely small, but it will video and take pictures. You can review the video and pictures on the camera and even delete them from the camera. I was impressed that this came with an 8 GB SD card already installed. This will give you a lot of space on an extremely tiny device for quick and easy access or a supplement to your phone. It will also be great for kids that don’t have a phone. It has a wrist strap attachment as well as a keychain attachment. The instructions admittedly lack a little bit of easy reading, but there are only four buttons on the camera so it’s pretty easy to play around and figure out what does what. At this price point I would consider this an excellent value.
Here’s my rating scale for products:
1 Star: Do not buy. This item has serious flaws. I would never under any circumstances use again.
2 Stars: Do not buy. Its usable at best, but you could easily find something better.
3 Stars: Just ok. Buy if you can’t find an alternative. Some issues need to be addressed.
4 Stars: Recommend purchase. This item met my expectations.
5 Stars: I love this product and would highly recommend to friends & family.
Additional Information: As a Vine reviewer, I know that people depend on these early revies as I to depend on reviews when shopping on Amazon. I fully intend to give honest insights.
Super fun camera to take with you on trips. Capture the mundane. 2000s digicam vibe.
Really fun little toy camera that gives you that 2000s digicam look that has been trendy. If you’ve ever used a Kodak Charmera, it’s basically the same idea. I found that this Nelsonic has a better sensor and slightly better quality than the Charmera though. That may or may not be a good thing, as the inferior lo-fi quality may be the point of these cameras.
I took this on a trip recently and I used it a surprising amount. When you don’t have to worry about cluttering your phone storage or photo library, you really start to take photos of all the mundane things you otherwise wouldn’t have pulled your phone out for. What I realized is that those little mundane and trivial moments are what really brings your memories back after the trip. This camera made me realize that I should stop chasing the picture perfect moments and poses and just capture the vibe by taking as many photos as possible.
A little tip, if you bring the photos into lightroom, affinity, pixelmator etc., you can adjust the color temp a little warm, the tint a little rosier, and add a small amount of noise. This will give you a very vintage film camera vibe. Not a perfect recreation of a film, but close enough. The addition of a little noise gives you that film grain look but also gives you more perceived sharpness. It can kind of reduce the digital pixellated look a bit. Though, you may want to leave it alone if that digital pixellated look is what you’re after.
The only downside with this camera is that you can’t turn off the flash in photo mode. Sometimes, I really don’t want a flash of light bothering other people so I just put my finger over the flash. Strangely enough, you can turn it off in video mode but not photo mode.
Overall a fair price for a fun little toy to give to kids or friends going on a trip. It’s definitely a way different use case than a phone or a DSLR. It has its moments and deserves a spot in your pocket. Good value for money, you’ll definitely get 30 dollars worth of fun out of this.
Tiny, fun little Camera/ video recorder that Actually Works!!
This little camera is seriously tiny! It comes with two different keychain style attachments, so you can easily carry it around or attach it to something. It also includes an 8GB SD card, which can be removed and connected to a computer so you can transfer your photos, voice recordings, and videos.
For such a small camera, I was actually impressed with how well it works. It can take photos, record video, and record audio, and the pictures and videos come out surprisingly clear for such a tiny device. There are only a few buttons, but once you figure out what each button does, you can use them to access the different functions. I would highly recommend keeping the instructions book somewhere safe, as some of the fictions are a little tricky. You can also view your photos and recordings directly on the camera, which I thought was a neat feature.
I think this would make a fun novelty gift for kids, teens, or anyone who enjoys gadgets and miniatures. It could be fun to take on trips, use for silly or spontaneous photos, or simply keep on your keychain for those moments when you want a tiny camera with you. It could also be a fun little introduction to photography for a child or beginner without having to carry around a larger camera. Great price as well.
I’m not sure how often I would personally use something this small, but I have to admit, the size is what makes it so unique. What I recommend, yes for those that just want a fun little gadget.
Great retro digital photos, easy USB-C transfers, and complete accessory ki
Carrying a tiny camera on your keys or backpack brings back that nostalgic, spontaneous joy of early digital photography without the endless notifications and screen distractions of a smartphone. This little keychain camera captures that retro vibe perfectly while fitting modern convenience into an ultra-compact footprint.
Right out of the box, the vibrant appearance and retro charm make it an instant eye-catcher. Despite its micro footprint, the physical quality feels solid rather than cheap or hollow. It comes loaded with all the necessary accessories to start shooting immediately, including an 8GB micro SD card and a USB-C charging cable. Naturally, you shouldn’t expect crisp DSLR or flagship smartphone optics from a lens this small; the photo and video output delivers a fun, soft Y2K digital aesthetic that is great for casual snapshots and creative clips.
In terms of ease of use, the single-button controls are intuitive enough for kids, teens, or adults to master in seconds. The tiny 0.96-inch color screen makes framing shots quick and simple, and offloading your files to a computer requires zero complicated drivers. The built-in clip gives it great durability, holding up securely against the daily wear and tear of hanging on a keyring or bag strap without snapping off. Plus, the internal battery life easily lasts through a full afternoon of snapping pictures and short video clips before needing a quick top-up.
It is a delightfully simple, screen-free gadget that turns quick everyday moments into fun memories. Whether bought as a gift or a casual daily carry, it delivers plenty of nostalgic entertainment for its size.
Detailing Digital Keychain Camera!
I honestly wasn’t expecting such a tiny little camera to be this much fun! I love that I can clip it onto my keys or bag and have it with me whenever I want to snap a quick picture or little video.
The small color screen is adorable, and I like being able to see what I’m capturing instead of just guessing. It’s definitely not meant to replace my phone camera, but that’s actually part of what makes it fun—it has its own cute little personality.
I also really appreciate that it comes with an 8GB card and is rechargeable with USB-C, so I could start using it right away.
It’s tiny, different, and just plain fun to play around with. I find myself reaching for it just because it makes taking everyday pictures a little more interesting!
Tiny camera with ok pictures
This camera is so cute, tiny, and lightweight. It comes with a keychain piece you can attach or a lanyard type piece. Operation of the camera is fairly simple as there are not a lot of options and buttons on it. You can obviously take pictures with it, but you can also change the filter lighting of the pictures. You can have the flash and “shutter” noise on, or you can turn them both off. They go together either on or off. It does also take video and you can hook it up to be a webcam, but I did not try that out. The picture and video quality is not high quality compared to today’s standards, but it still captures an image that can be used. It is automatically set to have a time stamp. You can set the date and time and even turn the timestamp off, but that must be done on the computer. You hook the USB cord to the camera and your computer and then open a text file and change the numbers to match the current date/time. Or you can change a “Y” to an “N” to remove the timestamp from the pictures. I was able to easily retrieve the pictures and video from the camera to the computer while it was hooked up by the cord. The cord is also used for recharging the camera. Overall, an adorable camera that takes ok pictures for a decent price.
Miniture toy camera that's fun to carry around.
This isn’t a camera you buy for image quality. You buy it because it’s tiny, fun, and a conversation piece. I showed it to my family, and they said “wait… that’s a camera?” It’s not much bigger than 2 quarters lined up together, but it has a color screen, takes photos, and records 1080p video. It’s quite “usable” once you get used to it.
Image quality is exactly what you’d expect from a tiny camera – it’s what it is. In good light it’s perfectly fine for social media (people will know it comes from a “retro” camera). Don’t compare it to your smartphone because that’s missing the point. The charm is carrying a camera that’s so small you’ll actually have it with you.
My only real complaint is that I wish the lens were a little wider. The field of view is tighter than I’d like. Also setting time is quite convoluted – you have to edit a text file containing the date/time on the SD card, which will be read by the camera and time set accordingly. Haha what a strange process but it worked! I did it once and never want to do it again.
Overall, this is more of a novelty toy camera than a serious photographic tool, and that’s exactly why I like it. It’s fun, pocketable, and a great conversation piece.
