Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersUseful for short trips. Zippers are not water resista
This backpack looked like it would be very useful for shorter trips. I don’t like having to rely on overhead storage on planes these days since it can be impossible to get any space at all, so the fact that this is meant to fit under the seat was particularly appealing.

The whole thing, including the sides, is made from a soft fabric and in real life there isn’t a way to get the precise rectangle you see in the imagery provided unless it’s been stuffed with items that help it hold that shape.

I poured a small amount of water over the bag to see if it was really water-resistant. Though the water did bead on the fabric itself, it immediately absorbed at the zippers and when I opened each one, I could feel that the fabric covering the seams around the zipper was damp for all three. In a couple of cases I could also see the wetness creeping into the liner fabric as well. Though the outer fabric itself may help to at least keep some of the damp off your belongings, if you get caught in a bad downpour the zippers will definitely let moisture through. It would likely be worth ensuring you have some extra protection for your belongings if you’re expecting a lot of rain on a specific trip, but if proper, full waterproofing is a priority for you, this bag does not appear to be suitable.

I like the way that the largest compartment can be opened at three sides just like a suitcase; it’s so difficult to find specific items buried in a backpack when you can only unzip it from the top. This will be very helpful to stay organized. The shoulder straps are nice and padded, and I like the mesh material used that I presume will help to wick away sweat on hot days.

I also like the organization compartments that have been included: there are two sleeves in the smaller compartment at the front so you can protect a laptop and a smaller device or a book, and on the other side are a few pockets for small items and pens. In addition there is a smaller pocket at the top front where you can keep a few things that you might want quick access to–though I’d probably avoid using it for essentials like money or my passport because I’d be worried it would be easy for someone to take them while my attention is elsewhere. The largest pocket has a waterproof pocket at the bottom to protect your belongings in case one of your personal care items bursts open, and the upper pocket is made with mesh which is handy for storing other small things. There are two buckle straps to keep your clothes from bunching up and sliding around while you’re traveling.

There’s also a side pocket which can be used to hold a regular-sized water bottle (like a 16.9oz). My larger reusable water bottle (a 32-oz bottle that’s about 8.5″ tall without a lid on and has a diameter of about 3.5″) could also fit though I’d need to use the strap above it to hold it in place, as pictured on the page.

Overall I expect this bag will suit my needs. It is too bad that the zipper doesn’t share the waterproofing of the outer fabric, but I expect it would be helpful to just keep a couple of plastic bags in one of the pockets so you can add a layer of protection if the rain catches you by surprise. I don’t think my full-sized suitcases are even fully waterproof, so I’m not really adding risk by using this one instead.

The laptop bag I didn't know I needed.
This is a really sturdy bag. The stitches are well made, the pockets are really nice sized, and it can even handle big laptops. It’s got a couple of very convenient carry options for both backpack and a handle, and the padding is decent. I like that there’s a secure strap that allows it to sit on my rolling case. There haven’t been any downsides that I’ve been able to find. It’s a lot higher quality than I was expecting for the price, definitely worth it. The zippers have a nice, smooth action and are also sturdy. This works by itself as an overnight or a weekend bag, or in conjunction with your other luggage. Really it’s a 10/10

Golden Review Award: 1 From Our UsersGreat option for plane travel
You know when you fly and the airline loses your luggage and you desperately wish you’d packed a change of clothes on your carry on? Yeah, if that’s happened to you, or if that’s a fear, this is a good place to start. I often fly with an airline that’s extremely particular about the size of your personal item, so I really appreciate the ties that basically act like ratchets on sides to crimp your bag down to the appropriate under the seat size, haha. It’s really nice that the front pocket has space for a tablet, laptop, or anything else you may want to access on the plane (small pocket on the outside which can fit your passport and wallet). The inner zipper opens the area that you can keep an extra change or two of clothes as well as a smaller divided pouch and a “water proof” pouch for your liquids. If you’re not traveling for long, this even gives you the capability of taking this as your only bag. The strap that goes horizontally across the back lets you store it on a suitcase handle for easy transportation. My favorite quality is that there are pockets everywhere which are super helpful for organization. Oh, and it actually fits a water bottle! You wouldn’t think that would be an issue, but I feel like I’ve tried so many bags recently that it just topples out of, so this is a nice change from that standpoint.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersPerfect Long Weekend Travel Bag
I just returned from a 5-day artist workshop. This backpack was perfect for this trip! It held all of my clothes, toiletries, electronic devices, wallet, book, sketchbooks, art supplies, water bottle, and sandals. It stowed very easily in the overhead bin on the plane and I did not need any other bag or purse for this trip. I appreciate that it has handles on both the long and short sides. It was also helpful that it has buckles on the side so you can adjust the volume of the backpack. I needed the full size while traveling, but just a day pack size during the workshop. I left my clothes and toiletries in the hotel room and tightened the backpack to a smaller size with just my art supplies during the day.

This backpack is very well made with lots of good storage and useful pockets. I love the dusty rose color. The zippers and buckles are very sturdy and the sides are well padded. The shoulder straps and cooling mesh were very comfortable. I like that it keeps clothes and toiletries separate from my art supplies and iPad. My laptop easily fits in the backpack, but I did not bring it on this trip. The water bottle pocket and the small pocket at the top were very handy for items I needed quick access to in the airport. Overall, this is a really nice and useful travel backpack. It is definitely worth the price… I will get a lot of use out of it.

good for long weekend road trips
I tend to pack light. With a normal carry-on suitcase, I always have tons of room to spare. I ordered this because it was smaller and it had a compartment for my laptop. I figured that would prevent me from having to carry a separate back-pack. When I first received it, I didn’t like it mostly because I ordered the Large size and felt it was rather small. Though I haven’t flown with it, I did compare it with my normal carry-on luggage. This was nearly half the size.

But after messing with it for a while, it seems OK. For me, this was nearly the perfect size for a long weekend (three-night trip). It can hold my 15″ laptop, toiletries, and even clothing for the trip. Although, I would caveat that this size is decent for a road trip. If you’re using this for actual air travel, I would suggest going with the extra large. with the large, you wouldn’t have room for anything else like snacks or headphones.

I like that there are side straps to hold the clothing compartment in place. This type of design relieves the tremendous pressure on the zippers and gives me more confidence that it won’t just explode. The clothing compartment has two separate pockets for smaller item, just like a normal carry-on.

I do regret ordering the dark green color. Nothing wrong with it per se but not my favorite. I didn’t want yet another black bag and certainly didn’t want the girly pinks. I wish they made these in blue or even grey.

This backpack is great for laptops and technology!
This bag was a pleasant surprise! I had to pet-sit for a family member where I would work from home at their house for a week. That meant I had to bring my tablet, three laptops, and their charging cables. THIS WAS THE PERFECT BAG!!! Not only did it separate and protect each laptop, but there was so much room for all of the cables. I was able to put a UV protecting umbrella on the side strap where you can also put large water bottles and it held on perfectly.

The size is great, it is really durable, and it’s easy to maneuver. I will say, the straps are pretty thick and hefty, but if you’re loaded up with lots of tech and are traveling, you probably need that. It is all adjustable to fit your frame with how long the straps can be.

Overall, I am really happy with this bag for the price and I have zero complaints.

Golden Review Award: 1 From Our UsersWell organized carry-on backpack, great for budget airline travel
If you travel frequently on budget airlines or just want a backpack that doubles as a carry on without checked baggage fees, this one is worth a look. The dimensions meet the personal item requirements for carriers like Spirit and Frontier, and the 40 liter capacity is surprisingly roomy for a 2 to 3 day trip when packed efficiently.

The 180 degree full opening clamshell design is one of the best features here. It lays completely flat like a suitcase so you can see everything at once and pack more neatly, and it is much easier to get through airport security since the laptop sleeve and contents are visible. The padded sleeve handles a full size 17 inch laptop with room to spare and keeps it protected.

The fabric feels durable and water resistant, which is important for travel where you might get caught in rain or set the bag on wet surfaces. The back panel has decent foam padding for comfort on longer carries, and the luggage strap on the back slides over a rolling suitcase handle easily.

Organization is solid. Multiple exterior pockets handle things like a passport, boarding pass, earbuds, and snacks without having to dig into the main compartment, and the side bottle holder is big enough for a standard water bottle.

The overall build quality feels sturdy for the price. Zippers run smoothly and the stitching looks clean throughout. For a carry on backpack that works hard for frequent flyers, this is a capable and practical choice.
