Let me start by saying that I’ve owned a Vitamix for about 10 years. We make a lot of healthy smoothies in our house, many of them with kale, and before the Vitamix, we had an Oster that simply couldn’t break down tough, fibrous greens to a drinkable consistency. So I’m very familiar with what kale can do in a blender.
To be clear, I am not comparing this KOIOS Blender/Food Processor Combo to a Vitamix, and it would not be fair to do so. This product doesn’t claim to be in that category. I mention the Vitamix only to set expectations and explain why I was genuinely curious when this unit arrived with a “healthy recipes” booklet, and one of the very first recipes featured kale. That’s a bold ingredient choice for a compact, budget-friendly machine, and I absolutely had to put that claim to the test.
I followed the recommended ingredient order, loaded everything into the cup, and ran it on the highest speed for about a minute. I was honestly shocked by the results. While it didn’t completely liquefy the kale the way a high-end blender might, what was left were only tiny, indistinguishable specks of dark green. Even more impressive was the taste test, there were no chewy bits at all. The smoothie was smooth, drinkable, and enjoyable. That alone exceeded my expectations.
Beyond blending, the versatility of this unit is fantastic. The base is compact but very stable, thanks to strong suction feet, it doesn’t move or wobble during use. The attachments are well thought out and easy to swap. The slicing and shredding disc is dual-sided, the grinder cup is perfectly sized for coffee beans or spices, and the food processor made incredibly quick work of a large onion, just a few seconds, and it was evenly chopped.
This is a compact machine that punches well above its weight. When you consider everything included, a single-serve smoothie cup, small pitcher, grinder, chopper, slicer, and shredder, and the fact that the price point when I ordered it was $49.99, the value is honestly impressive. Finding all of those tools for under $50 is nearly impossible.
This little machine is a powerhouse, and I would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a versatile, space-saving, and budget-friendly blender and food processor combo.
One base, endless kitchen possibilities
This 4-in-1 blender system is a fantastic addition to the kitchen. I love that it combines a blender, food processor, and spice/coffee grinder all in one unit, which saves both space and clutter on the counter. The 1000W motor is surprisingly powerful and handles everything I’ve thrown at it so far.
The controls are simple to use, and the safety lock lid along with the non-slip suction base make it feel very secure while running. I also appreciate the overheating protection feature, which gives some peace of mind when using it for tougher ingredients.
The different cup sizes are really practical. The 32oz pitcher is great for making larger batches, while the to-go cups are perfect for quick smoothies in the morning. The chopper bowl and grinding cup add even more versatility, making meal prep a lot easier.
Cleanup is quick since the components detach easily and are dishwasher safe. Overall, this is a powerful and versatile appliance that replaces several single-purpose tools. Great value and a really handy kitchen helper.
Good value, strong motor, littany of attachments
I’m giving this full 5 stars, but there are caveats that made me think about deducting a star, make certain you read about those at the end, but first the pros:
1) This is an outstanding value, , I’ve used food processors costing far more, motors not nearly as much power and torque.
2) If you’ve had a food processor and need a replacement for whatever reason, knowing what they can and can’t do well, I think you’ll be happy with this purchase.
3) It comes with a litany of attachments, saving even more money for other things you won’t have to buy.
4) Motor handled everything the ad says and doesn’t strain.
5) Motor seems quieter than my previous food processors that have less power. (still noisy though)
6) Easiest meat chopper I’ve ever used, made perfect hamburgers with the beef of my choosing rather than wondering what kind of beef is in store bought.
7) It comes with spare container gaskets.
8) Comes with “to go” drinking and pouring containers
Pro tip;
I get best hamburger result grinding fresh choice chuck, adding a smidge salt and pepper
Now for the cons, please read before ordering so you won’t be surprised or disappointed.
1) If you’ve never owned or used a food processor, you might think the setup and clean down is not worth the hassle.
2) Even though my previous food processors had plastic attachments, this plastic seems thinner.
3) Slicing things like carrots came out thinner than I like, and left some unsliced, this is common for food processors but be aware.
4) It does an adequate job grinding coffee, but grinds are not consistent grind size, this makes a difference to those fancying themselves “discerning coffee drinkers” but nobody in my circle can tell the difference between “burr ground” or “blade ground” coffee, this is a blade grinder.
5) Coffee grinds stick to sides of container, and blade.
6) Grinding nuts or coffee is not as easy as the ad claims, for instance, I needed oil to turn cashews into cashew butter, that’s a cleanup you need to expect.
7) Opposite of what the ad claims, as a whole, and as all food processors I’ve used, cleanup is not a breeze.

8) Securing containers into safety latch is more difficult than I expected, you line up the male and female, push down with some force and turn, a good safety precaution but I want you to know it takes some force.

Nice little machine for 50 bucks! Doesn’t take much space but does big jobs like blending, slicing, chopping and grinding. Comes with everything included to compete the aforementioned jobs. Easy to use and dishwasher safe although I wash everything by hand. The 4 stars are because the plastic parts seem a bit flimsy to me. Great gift idea, I would reorde
Budget Blender/Processor!!
This Blender/Food Processor is a good STARTER one for anyone that needs to stay on a budget or just starting out!
Comes with tons of attachments! I’m in the middle of two places so it took me a bit to try it out & I still haven’t tested ALL of its functions because it has so many things it can do!!
For so long I’ve been wanting a food processor but it’s not in my budget! I do a lot of cooking & baking so I was super excited when this popped up!
It blends, chops, grinds, all sorts of things. So if you want to make a smoothies, juices, grind coffee beans, spices, ground fresh meat, chop vegetables, you name it, it does it!
With that being said, most of the parts on this are plastic. It’s lightweight & doesn’t seem to be the “powerhouse” it claims to be.
It works and does a pretty good job at smaller quantities. But I think if you had a bigger recipe or had lots to do at once it wouldn’t be able to hold up to the task at hand.
It’s not overly loud which I very much appreciate.
All the attachments are easy to break down & clean.
States dishwasher safe but I have not tested this theory as I do mostly everything by hand.
If you are on a budget, just starting out or want something that doesn’t take up a lot of space, the price is one you can’t pass up! For all it does & everything included it’s a great value!
If you are looking for a work horse & something you are going to be using every day I would suggest do some comparison shopping on Amazon, invest a little more as there are better options out there.
