I had 2 neat mini 2 to go with this new Google speaker. It is good but not perfect. You can still do the casting, group them together, divide into rooms. Now way better WiFi connection, faster response, but the AI thing… You need to learn how to get the most out of this speaker.
One of the cool thing is: the new Google speaker turn my other old mini speakers become Gemini, so do not throw away any old Google speakers, it will work with the new one!
Es bueno porque tiene luces para visualizar cuando escucha y cuando piensa la respuesta. El microfono es bueno, bastante sensible para hablar comodamente. Lo malo: el audio a nivel de calidad musical, el google audio sigue siendo la estrella en calidad. En cuanto a gemini, si razona mejor, pero se pega unos viajes barbaros, es peor que un chico para entender a veces, calculo porque est en fase de despliegue y sigue siendo como un beta, se equivoca seguido o a veces te ignora, y te cansas de pedirle lo mismo varias veces. No es tan inteligente todavia como promete. En resumen, si sos fanatico, lo tenes que tener.
El altavoz cumple perfectamente con su finalidad y hace honor a su etiqueta de ‘audio premium’ con un sonido 360 envolvente, Al ser la ltima versin de Google, la integracin con su Inteligencia Artificial es sumamente til y verstil para el da a da. El nico detalle a tener en cuenta es que a veces el asistente demora un par de segundos en procesar y dar las respuestas. Sin embargo, no es nada grave; en general, es un equipo sobresaliente y una excelente compra.

As I am no stranger to smart home tech, I had the previous versions of these smart speakers from Google. I saw this and jumped on it immediately as I knew with integrated Gemini it was going to be fantastic. I am pleased to say I was right! The sound on this is incredible – great bass, really easy to connect to the Home app, setup was a breeze, and it allows me to coordinate all of my smart home functions with ease. It is quite loud but doesn’t get “tinny” or anything like that. There are buttons on it that control the volume built into the top of the speaker so that is a huge plus. It does feature a 360-degree audio profile so it can do Spatial Audio for entertainment purposes (think a bedroom replacement sound option for a TV that may not have a good built in option). I personally do not use it this way, but you can. Oh – if you’re worried about privacy, it has a built in button by the power cord on the back where you can easily turn off the microphone so no worries there.
So far, I have experienced no issues. I put this particular unit in my master bathroom and use it to listen to podcasts and music in the morning while I am getting ready. I even use it to open my garage and start my car before I head out for the day.
All in all, I can’t recommend this enough as it just works super well! If you are looking for an upgrade to your existing Google smart home situation, this is a great first step. Give it a shot! Thank you!
