    Powerful Pocket Camera, Great Quality but Overheating Limits Longer Shoots
    If you’re looking for something ultra-compact but still capable of producing high-quality video, the DJI Osmo Nano Standard Combo (64GB) is genuinely impressive for its size. It’s clearly designed for quick content creation, and in many situations, it delivers really well—but it does have a few limitations worth knowing.

    Video Quality & Performance

    For such a small device, the video quality is surprisingly good. The 4K at 60fps looks sharp and smooth, and the 1/1.3 sensor helps capture more detail than you’d expect from something this compact.

    The 143 wide field of view is also a big plus—it makes it great for vlogging, POV shots, and capturing more of the scene without needing to adjust positioning too much.

    Colours look natural, and overall, it produces content that’s easily usable straight out of the camera.

    Size & Versatility

    This is where the camera really stands out. It’s tiny, lightweight, and extremely portable, so you can carry it anywhere without thinking twice.

    The magnetic mounting system adds a lot of flexibility—you can attach it quickly for POV shots, chest mounting, or creative angles. It’s perfect for:

    * Quick vlogging

    * Travel clips

    * Casual content creation

    * On-the-go filming

    For its size, it feels like a very capable tool.

    Ease of Use & Setup

    Initial setup does require the DJI app, which is something to be aware of. Once connected, it unlocks full control and settings, but it’s not a completely standalone experience out of the box.

    After setup, though, it’s fairly straightforward to use.

    Connectivity & Compatibility

    It connects and works well with iPhone, with smooth setup and access to full features through the app.

    On Android, compatibility is more limited—the required app isn’t always available or supported, which can make setup and full functionality difficult.

    Storage & File Transfer

    The built-in 64GB storage is more than enough for my usage, especially for short clips and regular shooting.

    However, transferring files from internal storage to an SD card can feel a bit unintuitive and not as smooth as expected.

    Battery & Recording

    The advertised recording capability is solid, and for short clips or regular content shooting, it performs well. It’s clearly built for short-form content rather than continuous long recording sessions.

    Overheating (Main Drawback)

    The biggest downside for me is overheating.

    If you record in 4K at 60fps, the camera tends to heat up quite quickly, which can limit recording time and interrupt longer shoots.

    For casual clips it’s fine, but for extended or continuous recording, this can become a noticeable limitation.

    Low-Light Performance

    In good lighting, the footage looks great, but night or low-light quality is more on the average side.

    It’s usable, but you’ll notice some loss in detail and clarity compared to daylight shooting.

    Build Limitations

    Another thing to note is that the viewfinder/screen isn’t waterproof, so you need to be careful in wet conditions.

    This slightly limits its use in certain outdoor or action scenarios unless you take extra precautions.

    Value for Money

    Considering the size, features, and performance, it does offer good value—especially if you’re focused on portability and quick content creation.

    However, the overheating issue is something to factor in depending on how you plan to use it.

    Final Thoughts

    This is a very capable mini camera that delivers excellent quality for its size and is incredibly versatile. It’s perfect for short, creative clips and everyday use.

    That said, overheating (especially in 4K/60) and average low-light performance stop it from being ideal for longer or more demanding shoots.

    Great for portability and quick content — just not built for extended recording sessions.

    Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersSmall camera, big results but it does get warm.
    I’ve had the DJI Osmo Nano for a few weeks now and honestly, I wasn’t expecting to like it this much. It’s tiny, about the size of your thumb, and only weighs 52 grams, so you genuinely forget it’s clipped to your shirt or hanging from the lanyard. That’s the whole point of this camera and it actually delivers on it.

    The video quality really surprised me. Even in lower light, the footage comes out clean and detailed, which is impressive for a sensor this small. Colors look natural too, not overly punchy or fake like a lot of action cams tend to do. The magnetic mounting is probably my favorite part. You can pop it onto the lanyard, a hat clip, or the dock in about two seconds without fumbling with screws or clips.

    Now for the one thing that bugged me. This camera runs warm. Like, noticeably warm. And it’s not just at 4K/60fps either, I noticed it heating up even when shooting at 2.7K. It hasn’t shut off on me from overheating yet, but you can definitely feel the heat building up in your hand or wherever it’s mounted after a longer session. If you’re filming for a while, especially somewhere warm outside, just be aware it needs a breather sometimes.

    Battery life has been solid though. With the Vision Dock attached I’m getting close to what DJI advertises, so no complaints there. The touchscreen is small and can be hard to see in bright sunlight, but that’s a minor gripe compared to everything else it does right.

    Overall this camera is genuinely impressive for its size and price. The heat issue is real, so just don’t expect to run it nonstop for hours, but for everyday vlogging, workouts, or just capturing life on the go, it’s one of the best small cameras I’ve used.

    Golden Review Award: 19 From Our Users5 Stars Solid little action camera
    5 Stars — Solid little camera when I don’t feel like carrying my phone.

    I grab this DJI Osmo Pocket whenever I don’t want to haul my phone around with me. It’s perfect for quick shots on runs or rides without the bulk.

    Learn to use it without the screen and you’ll save a ton on battery life. I love how ridiculously small this thing is and the quality of the pictures (and video) it takes. You definitely have to get used to it at first, but once you figure out the beeps and get the button programmed the way you like, it turns into a really great little camera.

    Most of the time I just use the dock to set my settings and that’s it. Then I transfer everything to my phone later to view the images. The magnetic lanyard is very strong and a lifesaver when I’m riding or running trails. You can slap it onto anything metal if you need to.

    The shots come out with great quality overall. If you want the battery to last as long as possible, just don’t attach the base. I’ve even gotten some good underwater shots with it too.

    Takes a little learning curve, but once you’re dialed in, it’s super handy for everyday carry when you want something compact that still delivers. Highly recommend if you like keeping things light and simple.

    Golden Review Award: 3 From Our Users1st Action Camera for me~
    I really wanted to love this camera, and in many ways I do. The video quality is excellent, stabilization is impressive, and the image looks sharp and vibrant. It’s also incredibly lightweight, which is the main reason I bought it. I can easily clip it onto my hat or shirt without even noticing it’s there, making it perfect for walks, hiking, or capturing everyday moments.

    That said, the overheating issue is real, especially during longer recording sessions, and the battery life is shorter than I expected. I ended up buying extra batteries because one isn’t enough if you’re planning to record for an extended period.

    This is my first action camera, and despite those drawbacks, I still think it’s a great starter camera. It’s simple to use, portable, and produces fantastic footage. If DJI can improve the overheating and battery life in future versions, it would be close to perfect.

    Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe Ultimate Pocket-Sized Game Changer for Mobile Video!Headline:
    Professional stabilization that literally fits in your pocket!

    I bought the DJI Osmo Nano Standard Combo to upgrade my mobile content creation, and it has completely exceeded my expectations. If you are tired of shaky smartphone footage but don’t want to carry a massive, heavy gimbal, this is the absolute best solution on the market. What Makes It Great is Silky Smooth Video: The 3-axis stabilization completely eliminates walking and running vibrations.

    Insanely Compact: It folds down small enough to slip right into a jacket pocket. Super Fast Setup: The quick-release mechanism lets me start filming in under three seconds. Smart AI Tracking: The subject tracking is flawless and keeps me perfectly centered during vlogs.

    Great Battery Life: I easily get a full day of intermittent shooting on a single charge.

    Standard Combo vs. More Expensive Bundles The Standard Combo is the smartest buy if you want the best bang for your buck. It includes the core stabilizer, a charging cable, and a neat little storage pouch. While it doesn’t include a tripod or extension rod, the actual gimbal performance is identical to the pricier combos. You get the premium technology without paying for accessories you might already own.

    One Thing to Note No Mini Tripod: Keep in mind this base kit does not include a screw-in tripod stand. If you do a lot of stationary, tabletop vlogging, you will need to buy a cheap tripod attachment separately.

    Final Verdict DJI nailed the balance between portability and performance

    Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersAbsolutely recommend - excellent quality and easy to use
    This little camera is AWESOME the quality is amazing in it. It’s water proof and has t had any issues in that front. It is super easy to take around and use to capture those small moments. The quality of the video is amazing and CRYSTAL clear. Much cheaper than I thought it would be for the quality and I absolutely love it. It was between this or the insta360 go ultra, and I am happy I made the call for this device after testing them both!

    Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersDJI Osmo Nano Standard Combo 128GB model
    Tiny Camera, Titan Energy

    The DJI Osmo Nano Standard Combo (128GB) is proof that big performance can live in a pocket-sized spaceship. This little cube of creativity punches far above its weight class.

    First off, the size is ridiculous in the best way. It practically disappears in your palm, but once you power it on, it feels like you’ve activated a miniature film studio. The stabilization is silky smooth, even when I’m walking fast or filming from awkward angles. Footage comes out crisp, vibrant, and surprisingly cinematic for something this compact.

    The 128GB built-in storage is a huge win. No scrambling for microSD cards or worrying about running out of space mid-adventure. Just charge it, grab it, and go. The battery life has been solid for quick trips, spontaneous moments, and even longer recording sessions without feeling like I’m racing against a blinking red icon.

    Setup was simple, the interface is intuitive, and transferring footage is painless. Whether it’s travel clips, family moments, or just creative experiments, this camera handles it with confidence. It feels thoughtfully designed, not just shrunk down.

    If you want a lightweight, no-fuss camera that delivers professional-looking results without the bulk, this is an easy recommendation. Tiny body. Massive capability. Five stars without hesitation.

    Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersReplaced my other brand with these!
    I was a die-hard GP user until I tried the DJI Nano. Don’t let the size fool you, the performance, quality, and videos make this camera a serious contender in the action camera field. The magnetic mounts are strong and secure and make using the DJI Nano easy. The bult in memory can be complimented by adding a SD card. The interoperation between the camera and the dock make charging and transferring video a breeze. The DJI Mimo app is packed with features for editing video, and their app interacts with their other products all in one place.
