Ok, whoa. I will admit I have my reservations because you know I’ve always had Sony or JBL and etc. Never heard of this brand but read the reviews. I was like “sure why not, let me shoot my shot” and MAN THIS SPEAKER IS LEGIT !!!!! The BASS is BANGING! I am so glad I bought this speaker, worth every penny
I received this Portable Bluetooth Speaker by dbsono in purple as a free product from the Vine program, and absolutely loved it! Unfortunately, so did my adult daughter, so I had to purchase this one for her in red. And now that my adult son fell in love with hers, his is on the way. THAT’s how awesome these bluetooth speakers really are – when a person who receives them for free is then willing to pay money to purchase them again … that should tell you something.
My video doesn’t do the audio quality justice, as it is impressively sharp and clear. Each speaker has been incredibly simple to connect, and their compact size makes them easily portable. Of course, we all loved the lighting function and the customizable options for each of our preferred level of ambiance. And the coolest part is that we can sync all of them together – including all of the other dbsono speakers that I have previously purchased – to wake up the neighborhood.
Overall, I’m obviously highly impressed with the sound quality, convenience, aesthetics, and general construction of this Bluetooth speaker. What started out as free products needing testing for review has turned into a loyal customer who consistently comes back to purchase the products that I fall in love with as gifts for others. I believe that says enough about the combination of both quality and affordability with every dbsono product that I own, but particularly with this speaker. We all love it, but I’m going to stop showing it off to people because I can’t afford to purchase any more.

I’m 70 and have increasingly bad hearing problems.
I don’t believe having a speaker directly behind my head or a few inches away from my ears. I know because I tried both methods which didn’t help me at all.
I’m operating the speakers at 2db. That’s incredibly low. Every other speaker I’ve owned produces zero sound at 6db and below.
Both speakers arrived fully charged.
This rather heavy bluetooth speaker can pump out music quite loudly and can easily fill a room or a medium sized back yard. We’ve been using it on our deck and its great to have a speaker that doesn’t have to be plugged in while still not being tiny and small that the music sounds bad.
Music sounds warm and I can hear the highs and lows just fine. I don’t know how to verify that its pumping out 60 watts but the speaker size seems big enough and the music can get loud enough that I don’t doubt it.
There is a neat carry handle that is soft and easy to hold. This makes it easy to carry the speaker from one location to another.
There is also some feature to link multiple bluetooth speakers together but I haven’t tried doing it as honestly, one of these speakers is enough for people to hear the music. Theoretically you can daisy chain this speaker to another bluetooth speaker and you should be able to have good coverage for the space. If you do want to go that route, I’d suggest sticking with one brand for the daisy chain.
One thing to keep in mind is that it doesn’t play music when plugged in. It has to be unplugged for it to play music. I did notice a slight whine if I put my ears close to it when its plugged into power. Nothing to be concerned about but something I noticed.
Overall, this is a big, and hefty speaker that pumps out music without sounding deep and distorted. Its not completely balanced and gets a tad bit onto the deeper end but its pretty close to balanced.
This speaker delivers far more performance than its size and price suggest. The 60W SoundPulse 2.0 system uses a fivedriver layout—dual woofers, dual passive radiators, and a silkdome tweeter—to push a surprisingly wide soundstage with clean highs and a lowend that reaches into the low50Hz range. The BassBoost circuit isn’t just EQ; it’s a hardwarelevel enhancement that increases diaphragm excursion and lowfrequency gain, giving kick drums and basslines real physical presence without muddying the mids. At moderate volume (50–60%), distortion stays low and clarity stays intact, even with dense mixes.
Bluetooth 6.0 provides a stable, lowlatency connection up to roughly 90–100 feet in open space, and the speaker supports unlimited party pairing plus true TWS stereo when linking two units. USBC audio input works with Apple devices for wired playback, and the smart autooff feature conserves battery when idle. Battery life varies heavily by volume: around 12–15 hours at midvolume, and closer to 6–8 hours with BassBoost engaged at high output. The rugged ABS/silicone/nylon chassis, integrated carry handle, and IPX5 rating make it suitable for beach trips, garages, patios, and outdoor gatherings. The light bar adds ambience with multiple modes, though it can be disabled to save power.
Overall, this is a powerful, wellbuilt portable speaker with impressive bass, strong connectivity, and a premium feel that competes with far more expensive models. It’s a great fit for parties, outdoor use, or anyone who wants big sound without hauling a fullsize system.
The volume is crisp, clear, and surprisingly powerful. Even at low levels it’s more than adequate for everyday listening. At roughly one quarter volume, it easily filled my living room.
I wanted to do what I call a blast-test where I crank the speaker up to full. But as loud as the speaker was at one-quarter power, I didn’t want to risk a noise complaint from my neighbors. So I took my speaker to work with me and got there a few hours early so I could crank it up while the main floor was empty. And wow, did it deliver. At full power, the sound filled the entire floor with no distortion. Playing church organ music at full volume made me feel like I was actually standing next to a live organ.
Bluetooth range was also strong. I walked about 60 feet away on an open floor with no signal loss. In another test, I left the speaker running in my car while I stepped into a 7 Eleven, and it stayed connected through both the closed car door and the store’s door.
Battery performance has been promising. After about three hours of use at roughly 20–30% volume, the battery dropped only about 20%. I ran this test with the flashing light turned off, since, as I have found with other devices, lighting features can accelerate battery consumption, but early signs suggest it will easily last through any typical use case.
One limitation is that the speaker doesn’t report its battery level to the connected device. Instead, it announces the level at startup in 10% increments. That makes precise tracking difficult, and some of the variation I’ve seen may simply be rounding. Even so, the overall battery performance has been strong.
I haven’t yet tested the multi-speaker pairing feature, but given how powerful a single unit is, I would mainly use that for surround sound effects rather than volume.
The build quality is excellent. The speaker has a smooth, solid design with a surprising amount of weight, giving it a durable feel. The attached handle is sturdy and comfortable to hold.
Despite the minor inconvenience of not being able to monitor the battery more precisely, this speaker has impressed me across the board. It’s already shaping up to be one of the best Bluetooth speakers I’ve owned.
