When I first tried this lumbar pillow, I was skeptical. It goes through a series of different vibrating patterns. I’m not really a fan of those, I thought. But with the heat- it glows bright red, I felt more relaxed than I thought I would. It has one function where it inflates then deflates- that one I thought was going to put my back back into place! If it went a bit further that would have been killer. My whole family has stolen it from me by now, so I’d say it was an excellent choice!
I really love this lumbar support pillow. I actually have more upper back pain than lower back pain but I love that this pillow can address either location. There’s an automatic and a manual mode. In manual mode you can choose between the vibration, the red light therapy, or the pillow inflating and deflating. An automatic mode it cycles through all three. The pillow turns off after 30 minutes of use and is rechargeable.
The pillow itself is very soft and plush. It even has a strap along the back so that if you are attaching it to a chair, it’ll stay in place. I like that you can lean back on it in bed, use it in a chair, or just lay on it on the floor. The heat from the red light feels really good if you’re having back pain and helps alleviate that pain.
Overall this is an excellent device that gives you the health benefits of red light therapy as well as a way to alleviate soreness and pain with the vibration, inflation, heat, and red light. It’s also fairly portable so if you’re going on a little trip you really could just take this with you. I think this would also be good for women that have cramps because of the lumbar support and the heat. I would imagine if you put it under your neck it would probably help with neck and shoulder pain as well. It’s pretty versatile and would make a great gift for someone who has back pain often.
