I’m really impressed with this portable CarPlay screen. The setup was quick, and the wireless CarPlay connected to my iPhone without any issues. The 7-inch touchscreen is responsive, the display is clear, and using navigation, music, and calls is much more convenient while driving. I bought this screen to give it to a friend for his birthday for his vehicle that did not have CarPlay and the experience has been very good. The installation was simple, just connect it to the lighter, attach it to the dashboard and in a few minutes it was already working. The wireless connection with Apple CarPlay was fast and stable. The touch screen responds well, has a good size (7 inches) and can be seen clearly even during the day. I use it mainly for Google Maps, music and calls, and everything works without problems. I also liked that the audio can be transmitted via Bluetooth or FM, which makes it compatible with virtually any car.For the price, I think it’s an excellent option to modernize a car without having to change the original stereo. The value for money is very good and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy CarPlay or Android Auto in an older vehicle.
One ridiculously long cord and one short cord?
I JUST installed this but i am already happy with it. My car is a 2016 subaru crosstrek. The screen just is out of date. I have to have my cell phone out for using google maps. It has been just a hassle. So, i wanted to treat myself.
If i had any complaints it is the cords. You get like, 10ft with the charging cord. But for an aux cord they give you the shortest length (maybe a foot or two). I had to buy a longer aux cord as my aux is in my center console in that arm rest area. I have NO idea where i going to keep all this other cord because i have most of it bundled up with the twist tie. I did purchase some things to help hold the cords but still pretty crazy the difference in length. This is mainly why I took a star off.
I also have a samsung s23 ultra and it was very easy to set up the device once you paired it. Android app was already on my phone ready to go. If there is any other issues i run into. I will update this! Otherwise just from the 2x i have used it so far, it is just so much better than what came in my car.
