It’s a solid speaker that is plenty loud and appears to be a Sony knockoff. It looks almost like a previous generation Sony and has similar lighting. The Sony definitely sounds better with more bass and refined audio quality, but the Sony was also 3x the price.
You get what you pay for. It was important for me to buy this for my wife to replace her broken 4 year old Sony without confusing her or spending a lot of money. The controls are on this Beat Boom unit are easier to see and use and it uses a USB-C to charge.
The Beat Boom is also more attractive, but larger than my own Anker speaker. Again the controls are easier to use, however the Anker has superior audio quality at a similar price.
Had no problem connecting the Bluetooth to phones either.
If you want a mid-priced range BT speaker < $50 that is plenty loud with colorful lights and is not a toy, then consider this unit. Head-to-head I prefer the sound on the Anker and as long as there is a little bit of room light I can work its controls just fine. The Beat Boom has much better lighting and it ultimately the easiest to use and very loud. The sound is good at this price point, but not the best. To get the best for the same price you would need to give up other features.
I love this thing. I have had one for 3 years and the battery life is amazing! I take it on my trips to the lake and it lasts the entire trip. The sound is great and the lighting is fun, especially at night.
I also have one in my pickleball bag because of how functional it is.
I bought four more for my house because the sound quality is great, the size is optimal , and they are easy to use.
Awesome especially for the price! Easy to use, gets really loud with great sound. I like the lights they go good with my RGB lights on my desk and keyboard.
I ended up getting two of these and just connecting them to my PC to use with Spotify while gaming or YouTube etc. I usually am a JBL fan but the prices of JBL are a bit expensive for me. These beat boom has good enough bass and a decent balance of sound with music. Remember I have 2 connected using that TWS thing so maybe it sounds different when only using 1 speaker.
I got these over a dedicated desktop sound system because I have more use fir these portable speakers and 2 of these was about half price of a RGB 24W soundbar for the PC.
Win Win for me.
These get much louder than the JBL Flip 3 (time to retire that speaker I know!!)
I also have a JBL Charge 3 and a monster 60W speaker. Monster is loudest of them all. If you are a bass head, you’ll definitely like the JBL speakers over these ERKEI SEHN speakers but cost a pretty penny.
For those unaware of the price of JBL speakers, I can purchase 3 or maybe 4 of these for the price of 1 JBL speaker (depending on which JBL you’re looking at)
I have used an older one of these in the shower with no problems getting it wet. However I haven’t and dont plan on submerging it.
Bluetooth connection is great. Its got some weight to it but not too heavy. I wish the lights didnt always turn on every time kinda, but I use the lights most of the time anyway. Would be cool if you could toggle lights auto on on and off, but for the price I can’t complain

Excellent sound. Great size. EASy setup connecting to Bluetooth. I got it on sale so I hot a very good price. Perfect gor sitting outside onpirch and taking on vacation.
