Had some issues with my pool cover resulting in a ton of excess water collecting on top.
I looked at this LHUKSGF Automatic Pool Cover Pump and thought I’d give it a try to see if it would help… Wow I am glad that I did!
This little pump is a Powerhouse!!
It comes with a generous length power cord that is thick and seems insulated.
It is light weight and easy to put in and then move around when needed. I really like the protection net- it is a simple toggle pull to fasten it on and keeps out all the leaves and pine straw that falls on my pool.
It doesn’t come with any instructions – at least not in my box, and took less than 2 minutes how to figure out. Just attach the right size hose adapter for your needs-it does Not come with a hose, just two different size adapters – so read the description on the sizes.
It functions easily – literally just plug it in and it starts working on it’s own. I also Love the Automatic feature, it will self monitor the water level and turn on/off as needed. I don’t need to go out in the cold to check on it.
It seems durable so far, I haven’t had any issues with use, but I also haven’t dropped the thing yet either.
The water flow–Powerful!! It is so strong it moved the connection hose and the power flow of the water started to dig a hole in my yard! So make sure you have a hose long enough to run to the ground or get creative like I did. I ran it into a 5 gallon bucket so the water will hit the bucket with the force and then just spill over as it fills up. Again – I had a small lake on top of my cover when I started, so it may not be so hard if only a little water.
So worth it!!! I am so happy I have this little tough machine. Saved my pool cover and pool water underneath from a total cave in. Very satisfied with the item & highly recommend!

Dependable and just what we needed
Dependable and does the job well. Doesn’t suck up leaves. Turns on only when enough water is present on pool cover. Have used it inside pool, when we forgotnto cover before rain, to remove water from pool when filled too high. Great product for price.

I ordered this for our inflatable spa that the cover always gets rainwater and then leaves on it. When clearing it, inevitably I get miscolored rain water (from the leafs) inside the hot tub and it drives me crazy. And also will use this to drain our hot tub itself I’ve been using the whole ‘suck on a garden hose’ technique since I don’t always want to pull the lower drain plug inside the unit. I intend to use this for both reasons.
Unfortunately, I can’t try this out fully for its intended purpose as it’s dead winter in Wisconsin, but I’m optimistic on it. I did some test runs on water in a storage tub and seemed to work well. I think it’d be better if it came with a hose though, instead of having to go buy something to make this a complete unit. For this, I give it 4 stars. It should come with at least some sort of hose out of the box so I don’t have to head to the store to use this pump.
This automatic pool cover pump works extremely well. It turns on automatically when water builds up and pumps it out quickly. The 1500 GPH power is impressive! It cleared standing water off our pool cover much faster than expected.
The pump feels solid and well made, and the 25 foot power cord is a huge plus for reaching an outlet without needing an extension. I also appreciate that it comes with two adapters, which makes setup quick and simple. It’s been great not only for the pool cover, but also for draining water from our above ground pool as well! Since it is fully submersible I can just gently lower it down into the water and let it do its job. Of course I don’t lower it too deep, but it does definitely get submerged in a bit of water. If you have an above ground pool then you know what I mean. There’s always a few feet of water left after draining your pool.
It also has a mesh bag that helps keep our bigger debris like leaves and such!
It unfortunately does not come with a hose so you will have to purchase that yourself, but that’s an inexpensive addition and you can pick your length of hose that will work best for your usage and situation.
You can use this for so many different things! Aquariums, pools, ponds, hot tubs, etc. Just don’t cross use it and be mindful of cross contamination of wherever you decide to use it. I wouldn’t recommend using it for a pool and aquarium for instance.
All in all though this little pump has so far shown itself to be reliable, strong, and very convenient. This pump definitely makes pool maintenance easier. It’s not a bad price point. Even though it’s a bit on the higher end of pricing it still works very well! I can see us using this hopefully for years to come!
Fast-working! I like the auto start and stop sensors.
I like this has a longer cord at 25 ft and works well for draining pool covers or a bit of water, not a whole pool’s worth, but a decent amount. I like the auto start and stop feature so it doesn’t burn itself out but can kick on when the water gets deep enough so you can leave this on your pool cover and it will work on its own when it needs to if you wanted. They say to put the mesh bag it comes with on it for use to help catch any debris I think. It works fast to pump the water!
