Great AI enabled wireless reversing camera, fantastic range and picture.
This camera is primarily used as a reversing camera on the caravan, however, i’ve also found it makes a great wireless cctv type camera for the home. When not on the caravan, it now lives pointing at the front garden so i can see whats going on (with the monitor plugged into a usb socket in the house).
When on the caravan, the field of view is great, just one camera needed to cover both sides. There is a facility to have 2 cameras paired to the monitor if you wanted (front facing and back facing maybe). The clarity of picture is great and the AI functions are actually really useful. Quite often, people or dogs etc will just wander behind when you are reversing, the AI features work really well to warn you something or someone has just appeared behind you. So far i’ve seen it detect dogs, children, Adults, Cars and bikes. Any one that reverses caravans or trailers will really appreciate the added warnings the AI camera provides.
Night vision is really good and i am more than happy to now reverse the caravan in the dead of night if required.
The wireless range is really good, no dropouts even when the antennas are a bit obscured or shielded by body work.
Mounting options are really good for both the camera (really strong magnet and steel stick on plate so no need to drill holes to mount it) and also the monitor (flexible pad with double sided sticky tape)
The battery life of the camera (helped by the built in solar panel) is great. I tested it by leaving everything turned on (no auto sleep) and it lasted about 9 hours continually displaying. With auto sleep and the solar panel (even in cloudy weather), you may never actually need to charge it manually at all.
I also really like the recording facility, it records to sd card every time you activate the display on the button. Very useful for reversing evidence (or indeed if you needed to just record anything going on behind you).
Last but not least, it all comes in a quality padded zipped case that will keep it protected if you need to store or move the system about.
Overall, really happy with the camera and display, its a high quality piece of kit and well worth the money.
First off, I want to say this Auto-Vox solar charging and magnetic install backup camera is awesome. I had it installed in less than 2 minutes and up and running. Could not be an easier Install. I’ve had many cameras where you had to install the camera to the vehicle and run cables to your display unit. Then attach cables to your backup light or running lights to make it work. Not this one. Adhessive the metal piece to vehicle and I also did the screws just for added protection. Put the display wherever you want and plug in cigarette lighter and powers on. I have some wireless ones in past but it would loose connection all the time. This one is perfect. Great communication from camera to display.Strong magnetic install. I also Like that it has a place for SD card and battery saver automatically turns off after a set number of seconds. No complaints here. Great purchase! Highly recommend.
Easy set up, reliable quality.
This is my second AUTOVOX camera purchase, and it’s a definite step up from my previous model. The alwayson functionality is a standout feature — I use it constantly in heavy or busy traffic, and it genuinely improves awareness and confidence on the road.
Battery life is excellent. Even with the alwayson mode running during the day, it still delivers exceptional longevity. The recording quality is fantastic, crisp, and reliable. The AI features are surprisingly helpful too, giving timely reminders about potential hazards while reversing.
Setup was super simple — I had it installed and running within five minutes.
I was initially hesitant about relying solely on the magnetic mount to secure the camera to my vehicle and trailer, but the magnet is incredibly strong. I’ve had no issues with movement at all. For peace of mind, I remove the camera when parking due to theft concerns, but this can be solved with the lockable mount. It would be great to have two mounts included, especially since the camera is interchangeable.
I could go on, but the bottom line is simple: I highly recommend these cameras to anyone looking for an easy, reliable reverse camera solution.

We used it as a rearview camera on a cross country trip. Fully charged each camera would last the 8-10 hours driving a day we did. Clear picture and easy to place. Magnet is super strong. There were a couple of bumps that made the camera angle down lower than we wanted but otherwise a good buy.

Bought this as a gift for my senior dad and he absolutely loves it. It works flawlessly and gives him a clear view when backing up. Easy to use and does exactly what I hoped it would. Great product and I would definitely recommend it.
This is my second Auto-Vox back up camera. I bought the first one to keep an eye on my Jeep as I tow it behind my motorhome. This second one will be on the Jeep as a backup camera. The Jeep didn’t come with one and the soft top doesn’t give the best view out of the back. These cameras have so many useful features. I’ve already installed an SD card in this one which makes it basically a dash cam for the rear view. Because the camera is wireless and magnetic you can put it about anywhere you need some surveillance on the go. The image is bright and clear and the signal distance is great and never drops the connection. The battery lasts a long time so I haven’t used the solar charging yet but that’s a great option when I need it. These cameras are a great value for a lot of different uses.
This camera kit works very well once it is properly installed. Picture is very clear and the wide angle gives good viewing/
As a rule it seems like a good idea to set up and test a new product on a work bench before installing the equipment. This generally works very well for me. Therefore, upon receipt of the Solar Powered Wireless Camera Kit, I connected both the camera and the monitor to power from the UBS outlets on my work bench. The Monitor would only flash the Auto-Vox logo and not respond to Forward, Menu or Back buttons. At this point I realized that the issue was my test procedure and NOT a defective product.
Page 5 of the instructions read “Connect the monitor to the monitor boost cable into the USB plug into the USB port of the car.” I had connected the monitor boost cable into the USB outlet on my work bench. Once I connected the boost cable into the monitor everything functioned as it should.
The product works well once installed properly and I am very satisfied with Auto-Vox customer service.
In short Auto-Vox has given me quality equipment and support with this and other purchases.
The back-up/rear viw camera came from amazon the day after I ordered it. The operating instructions were clear, Installation was simple with the mgnetic attachment holding tightly.The rear-facing unit is the rear-view mirrorfor the RV. The second unit is mounted on the right-side door and serves to virtually eliminate blind spots in traffic and while parking. Now we’re ready to roll!
