5 stars because the wax is as advertised. Fine granules of wax. Burns clean with the included wicks. This wax allows you to chase any decorating idea on how you want to present a flame to suit a mood.
I purchased separately some 5 inch Tiger or Lion paw shells. They look good, lay flat and hold a small amount of the wax sand. I just cut a piece of the wax wick off of one of the many included wicks and stuck it in the wax sand in the shell. I have seen some air plant holders I might try next.
Highly reccomend this wax sand and wicks.

The 8-pound package is a fantastic value, especially with 50 wicks included. I can make multiple candles, change up the containers and designs, and refresh them whenever I want. I really like being able to use jars, bowls, vases, and other decorative containers to create candles that coordinate with my home dcor.
