A Good Digital Frame With a Few Hang-ups
I got this digital picture frame to put up in my house, and it’s been pretty solid overall. Setting it up was simple, which I appreciated. Once the pictures are on there, everything looks great. It has a lot of settings too, which is cool. You can change how long each picture shows, or play audio for videos, and even control some of the extra pop up info. That kind of customization really helps make it your own.
Now, there are a couple things that kinda get in the way. The biggest one is that your pictures can only be 4 MB or less. That really makes it tough to put my whole photo library on there without having to compress everything first. Also, it doesn’t play certain picture formats directly. Some photos from my iPhone needed to be converted, which was a little bit of a pain. What would have been really sweet is if it could pull pictures from my network storage. Instead, you gotta copy everything onto an SD card and then pop it into the frame.
But if you can work around those things, the photos it displays truly do look good. The display settings let you tweak things just right, and the app for it is pretty decent too. Overall, it’s a pretty good picture frame for showing off your memories.
A Beautiful Digital Frame That Feels Like Part of the Deco
I really like how much this digital picture frame feels like an actual piece of home decor rather than just another electronic device sitting on a desk. The walnut wood finish gives it a warm, natural appearance that looks great in a room, and the compact 8 inch size makes it easy to place on a desk, shelf, bedside table, or entryway without taking up much space. The frame has a nice premium appearance and would also make a really nice gift.
Setup was quick and straightforward. Connecting it to WiFi and pairing it with the Uhale app was simple, and once everything was connected, sending photos to the frame was very convenient. I especially like that family members can share photos remotely, so it is not limited to pictures that I manually load onto it. That makes this much more useful than a traditional photo frame because the pictures can continue changing without having to physically interact with the frame.
The display looks very good for its size. The 1280×800 HD touchscreen produces clear and attractive photos, and the anti glare screen is a great feature in a room with windows or brighter lighting. The touchscreen also makes it easy to browse through photos directly on the frame. The auto rotate feature is another nice touch because portrait and landscape photos can be displayed in the appropriate orientation without having to manually adjust them.
The storage capacity is another thing I really appreciate. Having 16GB of built in storage along with the included 32GB MicroSD card gives you 48GB of total storage, which is plenty of room for a large collection of photos and videos. I also like having the option to use it without WiFi for local playback, while still having WiFi available when I want to update the frame remotely.
There are also a lot of customization options that make the frame more enjoyable to use. Being able to adjust things like brightness, display speed, shuffle style, sleep mode, and the clock display gives you quite a bit of control over how the frame operates. It can also display videos, which adds another dimension to it compared with a basic digital photo frame.
The walnut finish, touchscreen, wireless photo sharing, large storage capacity, automatic rotation, and anti glare display all come together really well. It is small enough to fit almost anywhere while still having enough features to make it feel like a substantial product. This would be especially nice for displaying family memories, vacation photos, special occasions, or keeping loved ones connected by allowing multiple people to contribute pictures remotely.
It is a very attractive and versatile digital picture frame, and I think the combination of the wood design and the feature set makes it stand out from the typical electronic photo frames.
So Much More Than a Photo Frame!
This frame goes beyond my expectations.
Aesthetic: It arrived in very giftable, premium packaging. The real wood frame is very thick and high quality. It’s a versatile color and finish, almost a perfect match for the wood dresser in my bedroom but I landed on placing it on my white/pink/grey terrazzo pattern computer desk near my entry so guests could see what it displays. Ease of use: Setup was quick and simple. The app is straightforward and pairing was a breeze unlike some IoT products. The frame’s menu is also very clean and easy to navigate. Almost every aspect is customizable: brightness, speed, shuffle style, sleep mode, clock face, what is shown on the image (weather, time, comments), etc. (see photos)
Features: I was surprised to learn it can hold videos and play sound, as well as, photos. I love the ability to leave comments on the media that you can choose display on the frame or not. Would be great for loved ones that live far away but you want to stay connected. You can share codes with anyone you want to have the ability to upload media. A novel feature I wasn’t expecting is the ability to send “gifts” built in cards and notes in a variety of themes. The cards show as static images on the screen. The notes are animated to fill and scroll across the screen 3 times. Great for holidays or just because, a little bit more special than sending a text. (see photos)
This digital picture frame is pretty easy to set up and fun to use.
This digital picture frame from Connected Seasons works well and presents a vivid picture. The walnut frame itself is simple and good looking. It comes with a stand for your counter or desk plus hanging holes. I easily transferred a photograph from my Macintosh computer, connecting through my home wi-fi, but it also comes with a microSD card for transferring photos and videos. The app was a quick download from Apple’s App Store and was easy to follow for setting up such as the wi-fi connection. It is powered through its included cord that plugs into a wall socket. The packaging is definitely nice enough to make this a very fine gift. If you are giving it to someone who is not familiar with apps, pairing, etc., you may need to do that for them: While setting all up and transferring photos is pretty easy, it was not something some of my friends could easily do, but then I’m 75. It is mostly controlled through the touch screen which does get finger prints pretty quickly. However, I think for most folks, after the initial use and playing with it, it will usually just be a power on and view situation, not requiring a lot of screen control work. The photo of the frame with picture installed that I’m attaching to this review shows an image I took at the local dog park a while back. Its colors are reasonably vibrant, and the operation came down to enabling access to that photo by the app (or you can enable access to all your photo, or any number of them.) Then I simply transferred the photo by wi-fi to the frame. I am due to be taking a trip a few months from now, and I intend to leave the frame with a friend who would like to see my trip as I go, then get it back with all the photos I have sent when I’m done.
Quality, easy to use picture frame
Awesome digital picture frame!! I was needing something to keep all of my photos of my grandkids all in one place without having to switch out the pictures as they grow older. Perfect size for my office. Easy to use. No issues loading or viewing. Exceptional quality. Love love love it!!
