This system is great for its versatility and ability to move from vehicle to vehicle easily. Installation is as simple as plugging it in and making sure the camera is charged. It is a good quality camera, and the image is high enough resolution to be useful in most situations. It connects easily and quickly, and the exterior camera is well built and rugged. Mounting the exterior camera is a breeze because it’s magnetic, and the interior display suction cups to the front window, but I would suggest resting it on the dash because that’s a lot of weight hanging off of that single suction cup. All in all, this is a great quality backup camera that just works!
Easy Install Backup Camera with Clear Solar Display
The HEECOOMI Magnetic Solar Wireless Backup Camera is a really convenient upgrade for any vehicle, especially if you don’t want to deal with complicated wiring. Setup was quick and simple—the magnetic mount makes it easy to attach and remove, and I was able to get it working in just a few minutes.
The solar charging feature is a big plus. It helps keep the camera powered without constantly worrying about plugging it in, which makes it very low maintenance. I also like that it’s wireless, so there’s no messy installation or drilling required.
The video quality is clear enough for parking and reversing, even in low light. It gives a good wide view of what’s behind the car, which makes backing into tight spots much easier and safer. The connection to the screen is stable and doesn’t cut out during use.
The display is bright and easy to see, and the system responds quickly when switching into reverse. It’s especially helpful for larger vehicles or anyone who wants extra confidence while parking.
Overall, this is a practical and user-friendly backup camera system. It’s not overly complicated, but it gets the job done very well and adds a lot of convenience and safety to everyday driving.
I ordered this to actually monitor cargo in the box of my truck, but my son has already reserved the right to borrow it when he’s moving his pontoon. I have an adapter so that I can power the monitor from a regular outlet, so that’s what I did for testing this. I want to mention right away the pictures I took of the screen and also the video I shot of the screen all seem to have a bluish hugh. That is not actually visible, and the colors on the screen are true to life, clear, and crisp. It must be something with my recording device that caused this. That being said, I turned the monitor and camera on. The camera was already synced and I was surprised at the good image it was showing of my living room. It looked great! Moving the camera around, there is no lag of any kind. Setting the camera near a window with sun hitting the solar panel brought up the indicator on the side of the camera that it was running off the panel and not the battery. Battery life is supposed to be about ten hours, so it’s safe to say on a long trip, it will outlast both my lower back and my butt. The touch screen is very responsive and it has a clear protective film it, so I left it on and it did not interfere with operation of the screen. Going into settings and setting the date and clock was intuitive and super easy. The camera itself is hefty. When I cupped my hand over the camera, it immediately switched over to night mode with the infrared lights coming on. The magnet is covered by a pad of rubber that will prevent any issues with paint being damaged. Per the instructions, you can pair up four cameras and bring up split screens. In the booklet was an offer to pick a camera from the different selection they offer–for free. I emailed requesting a second camera just like the one that came with my setup. I thought it would be handy for the back of a trailer for one and then to monitor my box with the in other. I received an answer within about 6-7 hours and told that my camera was being shipped. What great customer service! Lastly, there is a charger for the camera included and two different ones to power the monitor–one plugs into a cigarette lighter port, and the other plugs into a USB port. I think for what you are getting with this setup, the price is incredibly reasonable and the customer service is top notch. Highly recommended.
