One of my favorite things about this frame is the built-in battery. Most digital picture frames I’ve used basically become a permanent fixture wherever there’s an outlet nearby. With this one, I can charge it and move it around without having a cord hanging off the back. That’s especially nice when we have family over and want to set it somewhere that doesn’t normally have easy access to power.
The screen is a good size, and the high resolution makes photos look sharp and detailed. Colors look good and family pictures don’t have that washed-out look I’ve seen on some cheaper digital frames. The touchscreen is responsive, and being able to rotate the frame and have the picture adjust automatically makes it easy to use either vertically or horizontally.
The app also makes adding new pictures much more convenient than messing around with and trying to keep track of memory cards. I’ve been able to send photos and videos to the frame from my iPhone, which means I actually update it instead of loading pictures once and forgetting about it. The built-in storage has enough space for a large collection too.
It’s simple to connect devices to and all of our friends and family who have seen it said they want to get one like it for their homes. Everyone really enjoys is. It’s made well and looks nice.
It’s also nice that it can play videos with sound. I originally expected to use it almost entirely for still photos, but short family videos mixed in with the pictures make the slideshow a lot more interesting.
Overall, this checks pretty much everything I want in a digital photo frame. The screen looks great, it’s easy to add new photos, there’s plenty of storage, and the rechargeable battery gives it a big advantage over frames that need to stay plugged in all the time. Definitely worthy of 5 stars.
