Good outdoor hog feeder with enough steel to survive regular pig enthusiasm!
I added the POOAMY 2-door galvanized steel hog feeder to our setup (we have a small farming property in the county, but I don’t run it, this was to help the helpers) because the old feeding routine had become less “farm management” and more “daily grain-based circus.” This feeder has a 3.7 bushel capacity, which is large enough to hold a helpful amount of feed without needing constant attention. The feeder should be placed on level ground, and securing it is worth considering if your pigs like rearranging equipment like unpaid interior decorators. I would also keep it out of the worst standing water areas, because even galvanized steel deserves better than sitting in muck forever. The quality feels good for the price range. The galvanized steel panels feel sturdy, and the feeder has enough weight and structure to seem dependable for regular use. During setup, I would inspect seams, fasteners, door movement, and any edges before letting animals use it. That is not a complaint so much as normal livestock-equipment common sense, since anything going near pigs should be checked like it is entering a demolition zone. Cleaning is fairly straightforward, though feed dust and moisture can still build up if ignored.

There are a few practical limits to know. The monitoring window is helpful, but it can get dirty in a barn or outdoor pen, so wiping it now and then keeps it useful. The feeder’s capacity is nice, but it may still need frequent refills if used with several hungry hogs. It is also not featherlight, so choose the placement before filling it unless you enjoy moving heavy objects while regretting your confidence. For durability, feed control, capacity, and everyday convenience, this is a solid hog feeder that makes feeding time less messy and less annoying. Great value for the price and quality!
