    Hogging the glory
I wanted a durable outdoor feeder for the pigs that would hold up to daily use and keep the feed dry and accessible. This galvanized steel two door model with the monitoring window lets me check levels without opening it up every time. The doors open for filling and the design resists tipping or damage from the animals. Build quality feels solid for barn or run conditions. One quirk is the window that gives a clear view of remaining feed which saves time on checks. Assembly was simple with the pre fitted parts. It cuts down on waste and keeps the area cleaner. The animals take to the openings quickly.

A practical piece for livestock care around the property. Holds enough between refills for steady feeding for one adult meat pig for two weeks, easy.

Golden Review Award: 1 From Our UsersGreat hog feeder, especially for feeder pigs.
My pig loves this feeder. I had mostly given up on finding a feeder for my lone remaining pig as every time I tried a new feeder the pigs found a way to ruin it or make it useless. They insist on overturning the troughs and/or wallowing in the trough like it was a bathtub, which always meant cracked and damaged feeders, or feeders that would not stay close to the fence. I secured this 2 door hog feeder to 2 well secured posts to keep the hog from tearing it away or tipping it over. I learned the hard way with another similar feeder in the past. With it properly secured, I can load it up pretty good and let my girl feed herself for a few days, or I can feed daily to control her intake. I mostly do the latter so she doesn’t get too fat.

This feeder is very heavy and durable. I have had it in the pig pen for over a month and it still works and looks great. It holds a lot of feed so if you are fattening some piglets this would be a great option. Right now we are mostly just providing a retirement home to an old pig we love and she loves not having to eat out the dirt anymore. This feeder is pricey, but when you feel the construction materials you can appreciate why they are asking what they are asking. I think it is in line with similarly designed feeders at the farm store, but it looks way better.

Well built feeder, should hold up for years
Been making do with a cobbled-together feeding setup for the hogs, and this galvanized steel two-door feeder is a proper upgrade. The capacity means I’m not out there twice a day topping it off, and the visible feed design lets me check the level without opening anything. Galvanized steel is the right material for the environment — the Florida humidity and general abuse of a pig enclosure will destroy painted or plastic feeders in a season. This is built to last. The design handles up to five smaller hogs feeding at once without crowding. It significantly cuts down on daily agricultural chore times offering a reliable automated solution that ensures livestock stay perfectly fed with minimal human monitoring.

Golden Review Award: 1 From Our UsersGood outdoor hog feeder with enough steel to survive regular pig enthusiasm!
I added the POOAMY 2-door galvanized steel hog feeder to our setup (we have a small farming property in the county, but I don’t run it, this was to help the helpers) because the old feeding routine had become less “farm management” and more “daily grain-based circus.” This feeder has a 3.7 bushel capacity, which is large enough to hold a helpful amount of feed without needing constant attention. The galvanized steel construction is the big durability feature, especially for outdoor use where weather, mud, and very determined pigs all take turns testing your purchases. The green finish looks good in a farm setting and gives it a cleaner appearance than plain bare metal. It is clearly built for function first, which is good because hog feeders do not need to be glamorous, they need to survive.

The two-door design is useful because it gives animals more than one access point. That helps reduce some crowding compared with a single opening, though pigs will still be pigs and act like nobody has eaten since the invention of agriculture. The feeding doors help keep the feed more protected than a wide-open trough, which can reduce waste when positioned correctly. The visible monitoring window is a smart feature because it lets you check feed levels quickly without opening the feeder. It is especially handy when you are trying to decide whether to refill now or pretend tomorrow will be fine.

It does what we needed, holds feed, keeps it more contained, and saves me from refilling as often. The 3.7 bushel size is good for small farm or barn use, but feed usage depends on how many hogs you have and how aggressively they eat. The feeder should be placed on level ground, and securing it is worth considering if your pigs like rearranging equipment like unpaid interior decorators. I would also keep it out of the worst standing water areas, because even galvanized steel deserves better than sitting in muck forever. Outdoor livestock gear lasts longer when it is not treated like it offended the weather.

The quality feels good for the price range. The galvanized steel panels feel sturdy, and the feeder has enough weight and structure to seem dependable for regular use. During setup, I would inspect seams, fasteners, door movement, and any edges before letting animals use it. That is not a complaint so much as normal livestock-equipment common sense, since anything going near pigs should be checked like it is entering a demolition zone. Cleaning is fairly straightforward, though feed dust and moisture can still build up if ignored.

There are a few practical limits to know. The monitoring window is helpful, but it can get dirty in a barn or outdoor pen, so wiping it now and then keeps it useful. The feeder’s capacity is nice, but it may still need frequent refills if used with several hungry hogs. It is also not featherlight, so choose the placement before filling it unless you enjoy moving heavy objects while regretting your confidence. For durability, feed control, capacity, and everyday convenience, this is a solid hog feeder that makes feeding time less messy and less annoying. Great value for the price and quality!

Holds a Lot and Makes Feeding So Much Easie
This hog feeder has been a great addition. My hubby had it put together in less than an hour, and my cousin-in-law had it filled with feed before I even realized it was ready to go. Assembly was pretty straightforward, and once it was set up, it felt sturdy and ready for outdoor use.

It really holds a lot of feed, which is the best part. Instead of having to feed the piggies every single day, this gives us a much easier setup. Now I can focus more on giving them some veggies, checking on them, and giving them a little attention each day instead of constantly refilling feed. I would guess this will last them quite a while before needing to be refilled.

The monitoring window is also a nice feature because it makes it easier to see where the feed level is without having to open everything up. Overall, this is a durable, practical feeder that saves time and makes caring for the pigs much easier.

I posted their Easter pic – I am sure they will take to the feeder in no time!!
