Okay, the printer itself deserves five stars! It is small, has individual toner cartridges, and is designed to fit in a tight space while completely serviced from the front.
My issue, and the absence of the 5th star, comes from trying to get the blankety-blank drivers installed on my computers!
Don’t believe for a moment that you can just download and engage the installer! In fact, don’t even bother to try until you have asked a good AI program to guide you through deleting and resetting all the stuff scattered throughout your computers that will trigger either an “ERROR” or a “Driver not found” frustration that will take you hours to resolve. Xerox support was not available, since it required an actual person to help with the problem, and I began installing it Friday evening.
FORTUNATELY, CoPilot was very aware of the challenge, and guided me from roadblock to roadblock with instructions that removed them.
It took most of a day to connect it with two of my four computers, the second being as frustrating as the first. When I have the time, and feel a high level of patience, I will get it working with with the other two.
Again GREAT PRINTER, once you get it to work with your computers. The copies are beautiful.
Great compact printer for home use
I got this Xerox C240 for my kids to share as their home printer, and they absolutely love it. It has been a great addition to our home because they can easily print school assignments, projects, and other documents without having to wait or deal with complicated setup. The wireless connection makes it simple for everyone to use from their own devices.
The print quality is excellent, especially for a compact printer. Text is sharp and clear, and the color printing looks great for school projects, presentations, and anything that needs a little more detail. The speed is also impressive compared to the older inkjet printer we replaced, and it handles multiple pages quickly.
One of the things I appreciate most is how reliable it has been. We have not experienced any paper jams so far, which was a common frustration with our previous printer. The wireless connection has been stable, and the kids can print directly from their laptops and phones with minimal help from me. It is easy enough for them to use on their own, which is a big plus.

I don’t usually write reviews but after doing my homework and listening to our IT guy I went with this printer and it is simply amazing! Super easy set up just follow the directions and you’ll be printing in just a few minutes. It is a little pricey BUT you get what you pay for it is very professional and perfect for home or office use. This one was on the lower price end for Xerox but still prints fast and I didn’t need to copy anything so for me the price was ok. Prints directly from your phone or pc and tablet.
Easy to set up, has detailed instructions. Faster than the ink jet I had been using with exceptional print quality. I love this printer, it’s quieter, well constructed and looks professional. Crisp text and vibrant colors. Great value for the money. Nice size that fits on my crowded work space. I would also add that it comes with “starter” toner cartridges already installed. They seem to print about the same amount of pages as perhaps my old ink jet printer would. Xerox sells “regular capacity” cartridges that print an impressive amount of pages, as well as extended cartridges for this model that they claim print very large quantities of pages, probably enough to last me a year or two. What I personally love with this printer is how cost effective it is to print, ease of operation and low maintenance requirements. My old ink jet would require “head cleaning” that used massive amounts of ink because if not used regularly the ink would dry and have to clean ink heads wasting both ink and paper, even then the quality was only so-so. This Color laser printer doesn’t have those problems, it prints crisp, vibrant and laser clear prints every time be it used daily or only occasionally, you can count on professional quality prints every time. Also unlike ink jet printers, if a printed page gets a little wet, or coffee cup set on it the ink smears, not with this Xerox Laser Printer. Perfect prints EVERY TIME and professional quality. I love this Xerox so much, I would toss all my ink jets, however I can’t because I cannot scan with this. My ONE RECOMMENDATION is to spend the nominal amount to purchase the model with the scanner and automatic document feeder. That is an option for this printer, I absolutely love it, but if I could go back in time I would have spent the small amount extra for the scanning capability. I absolutely love this printer, and Xerox is a legacy company with an established reputation of quality and longevity. You can’t go wrong on this! So easy to set up and use, I can even air-print directly to it. Love it, love it, love it!

This is an excellent wireless color laser printer. The set-up was very simple and easy. I did not have any issues starting the printer. It gives you instructions in the manual once you unpack age it. All ink toners are included with this printer, which makes it really convenient. The print quality is good, prints clearly and doesn’t smudge once your print job is completed.
The printer itself is heavy, so I would suggest taking the plastic bag it comes with to lift it up and placing it on the table or desk where you want it located for easier access. I placed mine on the floor, then had to move it to a table and it was heavy to lift. One person can do it, but it would just be easier if you set it up in the location where it will stay.
It also indicates that the black toner should be able to print up to 1,500 pages, which is great. You will not have to worry about replacing the toner any time soon. Of course, depending on how often you print, etc. It also gives you the option of setting up refills throughout the site and the touch screen on the printer. You can clearly see in the images how well it prints and how clear it is.
When printing, you will notice that it is not immediate, but it does print within seconds, which is nice. Not as quick as your larger printers but works for a home business, homeschooling or printing paperwork needed from the comfort of your home. This printer does not scan or fax, so that is something to consider.
You can also set it up to print from a tablet, laptop or phone. Very convenient when on the go and you need to print something quickly. Great product for printing and works great!

This printer was easy to get up and running. It walks you through the install of the mobile app and then the app allows you to complete the install and WiFi connecting with a scan of the QR code. The paper tray holds quite a bit, but there’s also a slot to feed single pages or envelopes into. Bear in mind this is exclusively a color laser printer and does not have a scanner. Each of the colors and black are all in individual cartridges which is nice as you don’t have to buy a whole new all-in-one or three color cartridge just because one color ran out. I did have issues with the black toner cartridge when I first set it up. I went through the troubleshooting on the Xerox website, which didn’t really solve the issue. I tried to see if the connectors needed cleaning and saw that one was actually slightly out of place. I carefully put it back into place and printed the test pages again and it worked! I suspect that at some point it got jostled but as that’s probably not a reflection of the printer itself, I’m mentioning it but that isn’t reflected in my rating. The print quality is great. It handles most text type stuff easy and fast. Color stuff is crisp and vibrant as well. There might be some tasks that inkjet might be better suited for in terms of color saturation, but honestly this printed what to my eyes seemed to be photo quality so I can’t ask for more than that. It’s pretty quiet as well as far as printers go. Definitely more quiet than my inkjet printer. From what I can see, this is a very solidly built printer than I think is designed to be used at a professional/business level for years and I’m thrilled to have it! Recommended
Sharp, fast color laser with easy setup just run the calibration firs
Looks like nice laser printer, it is fairly big compared to one I had before, about 16 x 15.7 x 9.6 inches – it does need bit of space.
Connects over Ethernet, dual-band Wi-Fi, or USB, with AirPrint and Mopria for mobile printing, auto-duplex, I had plenty of issues with my older printer as it was wifi only and I always had issues with it having to add it to network and typing in passwords for the wifi, this one just had Ethernet cable and that is the simplest way to manage it.
Getting it out of the box and set up did not take much time. Open the box and pull the whole unit out, everything is in the unit – no assembly needed. You will need to open it and pull out some safety tabs that hold toner cartridges sealed during shipping and once you pull those – printer is ready to go.
I tested it on Mac, Linux, and Windows, and on all three it needed no driver install — it was detected on the network and ready to use right away. Especially on Linux where printers are usually the sticking point – worked instantly. I connected mine with network cable, but the Wi-Fi is onboard and there’s a standard USB-B ports available as well.
Image quality is sharp. Text is clean and crisp, and photos print very well — I even tried glossy paper for photos to see how they’d turn out and the results were decent. It will never look like an inkjet photo, but for a color laser printer it’s very good quality. It works wonders for printing documents – just looks sharp, maybe because my last printer was pretty old.
One thing I encountered that may help someone else once I got the printer setup and started printing I noticed that color layers weren’t perfectly aligned — I could see one color offset by about a millimeter when page printed, print across different colors was not aligning. I went looking for a solution and fairly quickly found institutions where to go in the menus to do calibration. It ran for about two minutes, and after that the colors aligned perfectly. So if you see this issue there is a simple fix and I suggest that you calibrate the printer as out of the box.
Very happy with this printer overall. Fast, sharp, easy to live with across platforms, and I love the fact that it has a screen and it is big enough to be useful, all control can be done from the screen.
