I’ve been using this cervical neck pillow for a little while now, and it has made a noticeable difference in how my neck feels in the morning. The memory foam has a nice balance b Dr between softness and support without feeling too firm. I usually sleep on my side, and the contour shape keeps my head and neck comfortably aligned throughout the night. I also tried it while sleeping on my back, and it felt just as supportive. The cooling cover is a nice feature because it stays comfortable even on warmer nights. I appreciate that the pillow holds its shape instead of flattening after a few uses. It took me about two nights to get used to the design, but after that it felt very natural. I wake up with less stiffness, especially around my shoulders and neck. The cover is easy to remove and wash, which makes keeping it clean simple. The quality feels solid, and the stitching looks well made. I’ve dealt with stiff neck and shoulder pain for months, especially after sleeping on my side. This VYLEE cervical memory foam pillow has made a noticeable difference in just a couple of weeks.
The contoured shape supports my neck properly whether I sleep on my side or back (I’m mostly a side sleeper). The memory foam has good density—firm enough to hold its shape but still soft and comfortable. The cooling cover really helps; it stays cooler than regular pillowcases and feels smooth against the skin. I also like that it works for stomach sleepers if you flip or adjust the orientation.
It arrived vacuum-packed and expanded fully overnight. The grey color is neutral and looks clean. After washing the cover a couple of times it’s still soft and fits snugly. My neck feels less tight in the mornings and I’m waking up with fewer headaches.
If you’re looking for an affordable ergonomic pillow for neck pain relief, this one delivers. Highly recommend for side and back sleepers.
Too firm for me but the design seems sound
I have another cervical neck pillow with a very similar design; there’s a recessed spot in the middle where the ear goes for side sleepers, similar curves around the edges which I presume are to make way for the arms of stomach sleepers, and it’s also made of memory foam. My other pillow is perfect in every way except one: it’s too thin. And I have broad shoulders. If I sleep on my side with it under my head, my head hangs too much and I develop a crick in my neck. Aside from being too thin, my old pillow is the same size and dimensions as this new one.
This one from VYLEE, on the other hand, is thick enough – but it’s too firm. My ear doesn’t fit neatly over the recessed indentation in the middle because the edge of the pillow doesn’t yield any room for my shoulder. I could sleep on my stomach, but then I’d be sleeping with my head turned 90 degrees to one side.
So, the other pillow would be perfect for me if my shoulders were narrower, and this one would be fine if my neck were longer. Note I didn’t say perfect for me; it’s still a bit firm for my tastes. But if you have a long neck or sleep on your stomach and prefer a firm pillow, it might work for you. But for me, I’m going to keep it in the closet as an option for guests.
Reduce neck and back aches
First off, I can’t comment on how it works for side or stomach sleepers. I currently sleep on my back and I feel this is about on par to slightly below compared to other memory foam pillows I’ve tested. I took a star off because I feel it keeps me a bit warmer than my two favorite foam pillows. Also, at the time of ordering – the price of $59 seems on the higher end of the range for similar pillows. I notice that a coupon can be used to lower the price to $39 – which makes it worth considering. My pictures show both the memory foam itself as well as with the pillow case on. The grooves and bumps on the pillow seems more of a gimmick to me and I don’t really notice it with the pillow case on it. But it does do the job of reducing neck and back aches.
