UGREEN NAS DXP4800 GT 4-Bay for Creators, Tech Enthusiasts
UGREEN NAS DXP4800 GT 4-Bay for Creators, Tech Enthusiasts and Office Teams Smart Home Data Hub, Direct NAS Editing & Dual 10GbE Transfers, Ryzen R2514, 8GB DDR4, 2x 10GbE, 2x M.2 NVMe Slots, Diskless
- 【High-Performance Multitasking for Speed & Endurance】Powered by AMD Ryzen Embedded R2514, 4 cores, 8 threads, and up to 3.70GHz, with 8GB DDR4 RAM expandable to 64GB, DXP4800 GT handles backups, media processing, Docker apps, and multi-user workloads smoothly. Dual 10GbE networking and high-speed SSD expansion deliver fast transfers, stable streaming, rapid backups, and local-like 4K/8K editing directly from the NAS.
- 【UGOS Pro with Expandable Media & App Ecosystem】UGOS Pro makes NAS management simple with guided setup, a clean interface, and helpful on-screen tips. Beyond files, photos, backup, and search, it supports Docker, virtual machines, and SAN Manager, letting users expand into Plex, Emby, Jellyfin, Home Assistant, web hosting, and other self-hosted workflows—all managed through the UGREEN NAS app across phone, tablet, computer, and TV.
- 【Surveillance Center Built-In】Connect compatible IP cameras to DXP4800 GT and turn your NAS into both the storage drive and control center for home or small-business security. UGREEN Surveillance Center only supports ONVIF/RTSP cameras, live multi-view, PTZ control, event detection, recording, and timeline playback from one NAS-based platform. Footage stays stored locally, so you can review, manage, and share access without separate camera apps or cloud subscriptions.
- 【USB & SD Instant Backup】Built-in SD card slot lets creators import photos and videos without an external card reader. Simply insert an SD card into the NAS, open the UGREEN NAS app, and copy or back up files to your selected folder in just a few clicks. Combined with USB-A 10Gbps, USB-C 10Gbps, USB 2.0, and 4K HDMI connectivity, DXP4800 GT helps you quickly transfer camera footage, media assets, or surveillance files—saving time and simplifying your workflow without relying on a computer.
- 【Local Privacy, Pro-Grade Security】Store files locally on DXP4800 GT instead of third-party cloud servers, with local account mode for LAN-only access when needed. TLS/SSL, RSA, AES, and SHA-512 help secure logins and data transfers, while Security Manager, and flexible permissions provide continuous protection. RAID support adds data redundancy to help reduce the risk of data loss and improve file recovery in the event of drive failure.
- 【144TB Storage—Say Goodbye to Full Devices】DXP4800 GT supports 4 drive bays for SATA drives up to 32TB each, with up to 2 of the same bays compatible with U.2 NVMe SSDs, plus up to 16TB via two M.2 SSD, for up to 144TB total capacity. Store photos, videos, work files, movies, security footage, and smart home data in one place. Free up phones and computers, stop juggling external drives, and say goodbye to “storage full” stress. *Drives not included. Purchase HDDs/SSDs from a third party.
- 【Dual 10GbE, Up to 2.5GB/s】Each 10GbE port supports up to 10Gbps, or about 1.25GB/s theoretical speed. With Link Aggregation on compatible network equipment, dual ports can provide up to 20Gbps aggregate bandwidth, or about 2.5GB/s theoretical throughput, enabling smoother large file transfers, faster backups, balanced multi-user access, and efficient 4K/8K workflows.
- 【Important Notes Before Purchase】DXP4800 GT supports ECC RAM upgrade to help detect and correct memory errors during long-term operation. The pre-installed RAM is non-ECC, so ECC error correction requires a compatible ECC RAM upgrade. Drives not included, please purchase HDDs and SSDs from a third party. Plex can run via Docker and requires manual setup.

It’s working well, I was able to link aggregation the 10gbe ports, software already detected it and did it automatically without going into the managed switch. Overall easy, quick but a lot to learn.
This is an awesome NAS. Very fast and you can add up to 4 HDs. I can now do away with all of my cloud subscriptions and save money overtime. I was able to backup all of my files and my family’s too. Very happy with the purchase.
Excellent 4-bay NAS with incredible hardware and speed!
Fantastic 4-bay NAS! The build quality is top-notch with a sleek finish. The dual 10GbE ports deliver amazing transfer speeds across my local network, and Docker container support works flawlessly. Setup was quick, and having the SD card reader right on the front panel is a huge bonus. 5 stars!
Rock solid, and I love that I can use any brand of HDD. I still use my Synology DS1621+ but after their efforts to drive everyone to use their overpriced HDDs I’ve decided I’m done buying Synology and this UGREEN NAS feels like a step up. I had to upgrade my Synology to 10G ethernet, the UGREEN comes standard with two of those ports. It’s well built and the software feels solid, no bugs pr issues. Very happy with it.
Great product for a great price given the AI dooms day bubble.
Huge fan of Ugreen NAS but with recent hikes in ram prices as well as drives I decided to get this one to add to my collection. Being able to get DDR4 64gb at half to 1/3 the price of DDR5 made a huge difference. The 10GB networking ports was a huge plus to my setup as well. Easy setup like always and able to connect to my existing network without issue. Clean look although it stands out a bit next to my other unites but who knows what I may need in the future. Even better was the fact I got the battery backup for 10 dollars extra!
SHOULD'VE BEEN FIRST
This one is working a lot better than the last one I bought. I’m talking about the DXP4800 PLUS; customer service needs a lot of help. A friend of mine had one like i
A good Amazon Vine review should be balanced, specific, and based only on your actual experience. Avoid sounding promotional or overly critical, and focus on what you’ve personally observed.
I purchased the UGREEN DXP4800 GT after comparing several NAS options, and for the price, I think it offers an impressive balance of hardware, features, and expandability. My goal was to create a centralized location for family photos, phone backups, PC backups, and shared files while keeping as much of my data local as possible. So far, it has been a solid fit for that purpose.
This is my first serious NAS, so there has definitely been a learning curve. That’s something I think prospective buyers should expect regardless of brand. Features like storage pools, RAID, permissions, user accounts, and photo indexing take some time to understand if you’re coming from external hard drives or cloud storage. Once I slowed down and learned how everything fit together, the experience became much smoother.
One of the biggest reasons I chose this model was the local AI photo management. I like that facial recognition and photo organization can happen on the NAS instead of relying entirely on cloud services. The initial indexing process took a while with my large photo library, and I had a few moments where I wasn’t sure why some photos appeared in folders before showing up in the Photos app. After digging into it, I realized much of that was simply the system working through a large backlog rather than an actual problem.
I also had an unrelated hard drive issue shortly after setup that caused my RAID array to report as degraded. While that was stressful as a new NAS owner, it ended up teaching me quite a bit about RAID, SMART testing, and drive health. I don’t consider that a fault of the NAS itself, but I do think UGOS could provide clearer explanations and more detailed diagnostics for users who are still learning.
Overall, I’ve been very happy with the DXP4800 GT. The hardware has performed well, the software continues to improve, and it has already become the central storage hub for my family. If you’re looking for a capable home NAS and you’re willing to invest a little time learning how a NAS works, I think this is an excellent value. It’s not completely plug-and-play for someone brand new to NAS devices, but the combination of capable hardware, local AI features, and an improving software platform makes it easy for me to recommend.
