I don't know if it is fireproof, but it is very handy for important papers with some security
It is a briefcase type organizer with 20 colored pockets to organize papers and other important documents. All 20 pockets fit in the three ring binder with a zipper “lock” to keep prying eyes out. There is room for USB drives, credit cards, pens, passports and other items you wish to keep together. It is claimed to be fire proof, water resistant, dust proof with privacy protection.
The colored envelopes for documents measure 8.6″x11.7″ (A$ and letter size) to fit most documents. Each envelope has a label window to add a table of contents to what is in each folder.
The organizer has reflective strips to ease finding it in the dark. A front pocket is easily accessible for last minute items.
This is a very versatile organizer for your home, office, travel or ideal for school.
One idea is to put the organizer in a fire proof safe to add another measure of protection.
We have so many important documents that we have to keep up with. This organizer helps to keep things at your fingertips when needed.

Handy little fire-resistant binder.
Earlier this year, I realized it was the perfect time to upgrade the fireboxes I use around the house to better protect my important documents. The smaller metal case was very practical, but not particularly fireproof. One reason I started exploring new options is that most households now keep only a small collection of critical documents on hand, since many are stored digitally offsite. For example, my lawyer keeps electronic copies of everything.
I’ve looked at several cases, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. Overall, they are weatherproof, fire-resistant (not fireproof), and easy to carry around. One case in particular I found would be ideal for carrying a laptop or tablet, phone, essential work papers, and even a passport—plus a change of clothes if needed. When closed, it’s about 4 inches thick. The one I’m considering now is a bit smaller, roughly half that size when closed. It has a front pocket perfect for a tablet, with space behind for disks, thumb drives, or a passport. A major plus is that it’s a 3-ring binder, offering plenty of clear or colored pockets to keep papers organized and easy to find. The exterior feels like a fire-safe material, such as fiberglass or Kevlar, and it’s secured with a solid metal zipper and a combo lock for extra security. The case also has a sturdy outer board to help it keep its shape.
In short, if you’re looking for a small, portable case for work papers and electronic devices, or just want an organized way to keep your essential documents within reach, this could be a fantastic choice. It’s just over 2 inches thick when closed, offers fire and water resistance, and is great for managing multiple projects or clients’ documents. Plus, it’s quite affordable considering everything it offers—definitely an upgrade from old leather or hard cases. Great binder to organize key documents before evacuatio
I have been meaning to put together an evacuation “go bag” for a while now. My state seems to be on fire every summer (and winter sometimes) so it’s just basic responsibility to have these things ready to go. The Tamfile binder is a great tool to help you organize your important documents. There are a lot of resources available from Fire Departments to help identify which documents should be included. The binder has slots for credit card size cards, zippered and open pouches and small pockets that would be perfect for USB drives. It comes with 20 plastic pocket folders in the 3-ring binder section. There is a ton of room inside and the zippers are high quality to keep it all in.
The materials are excellent quality and the construction is solid. I really like that it is fairly discrete looking overall. The purpose is to contain your most important documents and some valuables but I also want to store this somewhere easy to access to grab quickly in an evacuation. On a bookshelf, it just looks like a nondescript black binder. I don’t have or need a personal safe so this will work great for the “hiding in plain sight” method of storing valuables.
I don’t love how these types of binders are being marketed (all of them, not just this one). The word “fireproof” is misleading. Fireproof is a marketing term that isn’t tied to a specific test or regulated definition. Arguably, nothing is actually fireproof, including the fancy safes. Using that word gives the false impression that things inside the binder will somehow be safe. The binder itself is made of a material that doesn’t ignite (that’s what UL94 VTM-0/5VA tests for). I think people buying these types of things are hoping their documents will be safe, not the binder itself. This type of binder cannot protect the contents in a housefire. It needs to be removed as quickly as possible from a fire and has features like the large reflective strip to help it be found in limited visibility. The flame resistant material that this is constructed of is certainly helpful in protecting the contents in rugged conditions or if were exposed to wildfire embers.
In conclusion- super well made, very useful, not “fireproof” but nothing is, makes the chore of emergency prep a little easier. 5 stars 🙂
Best Bag Ye
I have several fire proof containers and bags. This one is really top notch compared to the others. They’ve come such a long way from just a box or bag to being more detailed to help separate and keep your items together and easy to find. I recently got another one that is great too, but this one goes to a whole new level of storage choices. I love the sleeves and binder for documents that I may need on short notice. The other storage cubbies are great since they are different sizes. I mean this bag is very individualized for many different things. The size is really nice and will hold a large amount of things. It’s pretty heavy on its own and seems extra well padded. The zippers are heavy duty with seams sewn straight but very tight where the bag seals hard and fast to protect the contents. The lock seems standard and works fine but I’m not as concerned with it as I am protecting my contents from being destroyed. Overall this is a super nice bag and happy to have it.

I ordered this fireproof binder organizer because important papers are one of those things that get scattered way too easily, and I wanted everything together in one place. This is a much better setup than a basic folder, file box, or loose stack of documents.
The 3 ring binder design is really practical. Peace of mind for documents
This Tamfile fireproof binder organizer with 20 colorful plastic envelope pockets is a fantastic way to protect all of your important documents from possible fire or water damage. The photos I took include the width and depth measurements for each of the pockets in the organizer. Two things that I especially like about this organizer are that it has a lock included for the double zippers, as well as letter size plastic pocket folders to protect and organize all of your documents. The handles make it easy to grab and run with in case of an emergency so that you have all of your important documents with you at any time. I also like that the pockets are different colors, which can help with organization. Examples of documents we have in our Tamfile organizer are passports, birth and death certificates, wills, flash drives with backups of family photos, and financial statements. This organizer is well worth the money!
