Very impressed so far. It’s small enough to plug into my phone without adding much size, and the shape makes it pretty streamlined. With the case on my phone, they’re nearly the same thickness, with the drive being barely thicker.
Both my PC and my Android phone immediately recognized it as a storage drive, and I was able to just copy everything over. My phone immediately recognized my library (previously scanned in). No formatting or configuring needed, and both added it as a drive very quickly. Speed was impressive, copying around 80gb in a matter of minutes. I don’t have enough experience with other uses to compare, but using this to back up my music and use it on my phone is great.
It seems sturdy enough and definitely worth the money. I’ve only been using a few weeks, so I can’t speak to long-term reliability, but I’m optimistic.
Perfect for my use. Would definitely buy again, and will look at this if/when I ever need a higher capacity drive.
The only downside is that it doesn’t come with a storage box. I happened to have a small plastic case that’s not much bigger than this drive (I could maybe put a second one in, but it would be tight) that I use to store when I’m not using it.
SUNEAST Portable SSD Nano Silver 128GB: Not too much added bulk to a phone, though not sure about holding the bottom of the phone which will apply some force to this with the connector on the bottom. I wanted to investigate this before buying a new phone which doesn’t have a SD card and 256GB adds quite a bit to the price of the phone.
