Well-constructed and visually pleasing foam ottoman priced somewhat high
I ordered this ottoman because I’ve been looking for something to put my feet up in the chair in my bedroom. While this ottoman turned out to be much too large for that purpose, I am happy with its quality and appearance—just make sure you measure liberally and refer to review and listing photos before ordering to assure it will actually fit in your space.
The ottoman arrives with the foam compressed and separate from the folded cover. You insert the vacuum-sealed foam into the cover before opening it and allowing it to expand. This process was fairly straightforward and worked well—the foam appeared to expand quite rapidly. Once fully expanded, the ottoman is mostly firm but with a good amount of give when you sit on it. For this reason coupled with the material (PU leather, which can vary widely in durability), if you’re planning on using it primarily as a footrest, I believe it will hold up well. However, if you’re expecting to regularly use it as seating for adults, I might suggest looking further, unless at the time of reading there are reviews speaking on longevity. As mentioned, it has a good amount of give which makes it more comfortable to sit on but also means the fabric will likely take more wear from being used as seating. The PU leather fabric is attractive with a nice, smooth feel. The bottom of the ottoman is an anti-skid material and it really works! It is a good height to rest one’s feet on.
While the quality seems good and it is about as nice (or nicer) than I expected from the listing photos, it is also larger than I expected. My only complaint would be the price. For a large piece of expanding foam inside of a PU leather shell, it does feel pricy to me, even with the size. I believe it is a solid product but my opinion is that I do not feel an item like this is worth spending ~$100. I took off one star because of this.
