Doing the job!
So far, so good. Doing a good job protecting my laminate floor. Looks very good. Chair rolls on/off it easily. Will follow up in a few months to see if things changed.
I have been looking for a rug/mat for around my office desk at home. My previous one not only was sticky on the bottom but my Irobot would get underneath and flip it up and then have trouble rolling over the sticky part. So, when searching I was trying to find one that said something about their robot vaccum. That part has been fantastic and my robot goes over it with no issues. The main issue that I am having is when my chair rolls over it. There is like an air pocket and my chair gets stopped, maybe I need to redo it. Overall 4 out 5 is my rating.
Great Floor Protection With Quiet, Easy Chair Moveme
I’m (140 lb. for reference) using this office chair mat for a 46.7 lb. office chair. It’s worked great so far these past 2.5 months.
The product comes rolled up, so you do need to spend some time flattening it. I ended up putting some weight plates on each corner to facilitate the process. It took about a day to completely flatten without any corners curling. No odours that require time to degas fortunately. The dimensions were as advertised; I verified that it was 47.2″ x 35.4″ using a tape measure.
Compared to an older translucent plastic mat I was using, I like the look of this woven rattan-knit pattern much better. The gray tone is a bit lighter in-person compared to the product listing’s photos.
The hard casters of my chair have no problem rolling along the mat, and there aren’t any issues rolling on and off the mat either. Its anti-slip backing works to keep it in place.
It’s pretty easy to vacuum, although I do have to lower the suction of my vacuum when doing so as it’s strong enough to lift the mat up.
My wooden floor is rather old and creaky, but thanks to the mat, it softened the force from the chair and prevented my floors from creaking for the most part. Likewise, it dampens the noise from the chair itself rolling around.
I haven’t observed any noticeable wear so far. That’s factoring in that I do roll around a lot and move the chair since I’m using this with an electric adjustable standing desk, so I’m often wheeling the chair off the mat whenever I switch to standing. I’m usually wearing slippers, but it feels alright to stand on it barefoot too; it has some grip so you’re not likely to slide off or anything.
Good Quality Chair Mat for Home Office
I ordered this chair mat for use in my home office, and so far it has worked very well. The mat is thin and lies flat on the floor without any curling. I use my office chair throughout the day, and I’ve had no issues with the chair rolling on or off the mat. It has a non-slip design that works well on hardwood floors and is easy to clean.
The mat’s grey colour blends in nicely with most decor. Overall, it’s a good option if you’re looking for a chair mat that looks good and is reasonably priced.
Stays flat and doesn't roll
Nothing too special here, just an usual computer chair mat but this one is made of woven material which is superior to those made of plastic. It stays flat and doesn’t roll or kink as your moving your chair over it. It also looks better then plastic ones and very silent. Also look very resistant to wear and the underpart stick nicely to the floor so it doesn’t move around.

It only take a short bit for it to get completely flat as advertised and once it does it doesn’t go anywhere.

I like this mat very much! It’s a great alternative to the clear plastic mats that never lay flat. This mat arrived rolled up in a tube, so I had my doubts at first. But it rolled out flat, with just 2 corners curled. I put a 5 lb weight on those corners overnight, and it’s now perfectly flat.
I ordered the “dark brown” color. It’s more dark gray, with small brown strips. But I think it looks very nice with my desk.
The mat has a rubber-ish backing that gribs my LVP flooring, so it doesn’t move around.
I wish it was a lighter color, but this was the only option in this size.
I would absolutely recommend this mat instead of the clear plastic mats. And the price was less.
A nice looking floor ma
The Soimeat Woven Office Chair Mat for Hardwood Floors is good. I like the color and the design; it is an upgrade to the clear chair mat I was using. The mat I was using has small spikes on the bottom, which create gaps and cause the chair wheels to sink into the mat more than a mat without spikes. I understand that the type of mat I was using is meant for low-pile carpet. I am using artificial turf in my basement, which is similar to low-pile carpet and the reason why I chose the mat I was using. That being said, the artificial turf is on concrete, so a chair mat without spikes, such as the Soimeat Chair Mat, which is meant for hardwood floors, is a good solution for my needs. I am using it now, and the wheels on my office chair are not sinking into the mat nearly as much as they were with my clear plastic mat.
There is one thing that I take issue with from the description: “It lies flat effortlessly right out of the box.” It does not, and to be fair, anything rolled up takes some time to lie flat; I just don’t like the claim that it does. I had to place the mat under my livingroom rug overnight to get it so that the ends would not curl up. I probably could have rolled the ends of the mat the opposite way to straighten them, but my wife suggested putting it under the rug, and I always obey my wife, sometimes. The other thing that annoys me a little is the marketing, which most product advertising does: and that is to make things look a lot larger in pictures than they actually are, it’s to trick your mind into thinking you are getting more, so make sure you pay attention to measurements in the photos or description.
Despite a couple of personal annoyances I mentioned, it is a good mat, and I recommend it.
I have had plastic mats, glass mats, special contoured mats and this one. It’s aesthetically pleasing, you don’t get hung up on the edges, it glides smoothly with no real resistance and when getting up your chair doesn’t roll out from underneath you. I had no issue with it laying flat shortly after unrolling it. Best desk mat I have had and at a good price. Great pick!!
