LOVE a minimalist walle Every time I switch over to a regular wallet, within a couple months, I’m back to wishing I was using a minimalist wallet.
This one strikes a nice balance between being minimalist in size, but with a bit more oomph for carrying a little more, along with some RFID protection, though, to be honest, I really don’t know how much protection it offers, nor do I have a way of testing this.
It holds enough cards to be useful in the little sliding compartment, though I did have a couple that didn’t fit. I actually really love the sliding mechanism because when the cards bottom out, there’s a very satisfying ‘click’ and they feel very secure. Removing any card that’s not right at the front of the stack is a bit annoying, and I’ve found that I have to pull out the whole stack in order to get them out, which isn’t very convenient, though my expectations for this might be a bit high, considering my previous minimalist wallets required me to manually pull out the stack of cards before being able to separate out the one I wanted from the rest. So, although I did note it’s annoying, it’s still better than having to nearly break a nail to pull out a stack of cards before being able to pull out the one you want.
There are several nooks and crannies for stashing a small amount of cash, as well as 2 clear pockets for holding ID and… I don’t know, a bus pass or something? I don’t have a need for 2 clear pockets, but appreciate that they added them anyway. The listing says that you can hold a couple more cards inside the wallet, but I didn’t have much luck with that. Trying to cram a gift card in there made the wallet bulge uncomfortably.
The exterior material of the wallet doesn’t feel like leather, but is instead some kind of soft… pleather? It feels really nice, but I don’t know how well it will hold up, and how much it will resist picking up nasties from down in the depths of my bag. Will report back if it doesn’t fare well.
At the current price of almost 40 bucks, this wallet is overpriced, and I would honestly look at other minimal wallets. If the price were about half, I would say it’s absolutely worth it for the quality of the materials and the construction of it. Or you could be like my dad and go for the absolute most minimal, cost-saving thing ever and wrap a rubber band around your credit cards and cash and call it a day!

What I first loved, is the wallet looked exactly like the product listing photos; beautiful pale pink, slim design, holds six credit cards, US currency, driver’s license and additional card with two view windows.
It has a nice presentation to give it as a gift, the only caveat is it had no instructions on how to insert the credit cards. There is a black plastic lever on the side and I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to hold it down when I put the credit cards in. However, you leave it in the up position and you feed the cards in (up to six credit cards or similar style cards). It will be tight and appears like it’s going in at a slight angle. It starts to align the more cards you put in. Without any instructions, it initially made me think I was putting the cards in incorrectly and I needed to have the lever down. When you want to take them out is when you press down to release them. It is a tight fit to make sure the cards don’t accidentally fall out. I have attached a photo showing you how much of the card comes out when you release the lever and with six credit cards.
It has a strong magnetic closure. The RFID blocking feature is the metal plates where your credit cards go in between. RFID blocking shields your cards from radio frequency devices that intercept your card numbers and information. RFID not only protects credit cards, but also driver license numbers.
It is great quality and very well made, although I would have liked to seen some instructions to insert the cards, even though it seemed simple enough once I figured it out. It was amazing to me how compact it is compared to my current wallet. It is perfect even if it did not have the RFID when you need a beautiful well made compact wallet with a minimalist design. One reviewer mentioned that it has a zipper that works smoothly, however, it does not have a zipper to store any coins. I mention that if it is a feature that is important to you.
It is a good value for the quality, RFID capabilities, functionality and compact size. It is a wallet I would highly recommend to others.

My small credit card wallet that I have used for decades had just split down the side that morning. I appreciate the RFID blocking in the Ruiici wallet, especially in current times. I feel as though my information is far more secure than it was with the RFID card, given I don’t know how long those cards protect. I also was happy to see this wallet is not much larger than the one I had been using.
I found it holds 5 credit/other cards in the pop-up compartment. I had to put each card in separately, at a bit of a angle, and then was able to push to the compartment wall. I followed with each of the next 4 cards to end up with a handy pop-up array of the most used cards (not all credit). There are 2 more card slots should you need them (e.g., library card, etc.).
The 2 clear window compartments are a nice add, especially if you have an emergency card to alert EMTs during a crisis. The magnetic closure is strong, giving you security that wallet contents won’t fall out. I also found it is a bit of a conversation starter as I was asked a couple of times where I found this wallet.
I especially like the pop-up, even though the cards are not easily removed one-by-one; you must remove all at once to conveniently access them. But, this isn’t much different than trying to get just one card from those small slots in a conventional wallet, and this wallet presents a far safer carry.
I am pleased with this wallet overall; it seems well made and forward thinking in design. There is plenty of room for most wallet needs. It has a unique design. Very easy to carry in your pocket or purse. Personally, I do think the current price point is somewhat high for a wallet, but if this lasts as long as a traditional wallet, the cost may be justified because of the RFID factor.
