Very nice shower rod!
Very pleased with the quality of the shower curtain rod. Easy to assemble and install. Once installed and adjusted the tod was rock solid and didn’t move. Much easier than the spring loaded kind. Also looks great, but now I will have to get a new curtain to go with the new rod.
LOVE the Extra-Long Length and No Drilling!
The 39-173 inch adjustable range is what really caught my attention with this tension rod. I LOVE that this goes so much longer than a typical shower curtain rod. It gives me considerably more options for where and how I can use it instead of limiting me to a standard bathtub opening.
And because it’s a tension rod, I can get that extra length without drilling holes into the walls.

173 inches is over 14 feet!
That’s a seriously long span compared with most tension rods I’ve looked at. I really appreciate having that kind of range because not every space I want to divide or hang a curtain across is conveniently shower-sized.
So Many Uses Beyond the Shower
The extra length makes this useful for considerably more than a shower curtain.
I can see using it for a room divider, large window, closet, patio area, temporary curtain, or other wide opening.
That’s really what makes this stand out to me.
No Drilling
I love being able to install something without immediately reaching for the drill.
A tension-mounted rod also gives me more flexibility if I decide later that I want to move it somewhere else.
No holes to patch and considerably less commitment!
One-Click Design
The one-click locking system is a nice feature, especially on such a long adjustable rod.
Once I have the length where I need it, I want the rod securely positioned rather than constantly fighting with it.
Heavy-Duty Construction
At 1.11 inches, this is a substantial rod.
That’s especially important to me with the longer potential span. I don’t want something extremely thin that feels like it’s going to bow as soon as I extend it.
Non-Slip Ends
A tension rod is only useful if it actually stays where I put it.
The non-slip design helps provide grip at the ends, which is particularly important when using it across a wider space.
Rustproof
Rust resistance is obviously important if this is going into a bathroom or another area where moisture is common.
Nobody wants a nice black shower rod gradually turning into a rusty mess.
Black Finish
I like the black.
It’s simple, modern, and works with plenty of different curtain colors and decorating styles.
It also makes this look appropriate outside the bathroom if I decide to use it as a divider or curtain rod somewhere else.
Quality
I’m happy with how substantial this feels.
When I’m specifically choosing something because it can span a much larger area, I want the construction to feel appropriate for the job.
Affordability & Value
The versatility adds a lot of value for me.
Instead of buying something that only works across a standard shower opening, I have a rod that can adjust from 39 inches all the way to 173 inches.
That gives me a ton of possibilities.
Availability
I’d love to see additional finishes while keeping this same extra-long adjustment range.
The length is what makes this one special, so please don’t change that!

Overall
I LOVE the longer length of this tension rod.
Being able to adjust from 39 all the way up to 173 inches makes this useful for so much more than a standard shower. I can use it for wide openings, curtains, closets, room dividers, windows, or other spaces where a normal tension rod simply isn’t long enough.
Add in the heavy-duty construction, no-drill installation, non-slip design, and black finish, and this is an incredibly versatile rod.
Sometimes I don’t need another standard-size option.
I need the ridiculously long one. This is the ridiculously long one.
Easy to Assemble and Use, High Quality
This shower curtain rod almost didn’t fit my bathroom’s width, but thankfully, with the extra extension rod, it came out just fine. 39 inches is the bare minimum, without the extension rod, which adds another 20 inches. Together with the “fine-tuning nut”, and the two grip ends, the starting width is around 65 inches, or 5 feet 3 inches. Therefore, it might not fit narrow standing-only showers.
The rods are metal, not smooth, but the texture is not too rough, so it seems like there’s a little coating over it. The sliding of the rings over feels smooth enough, though not as much as a plastic rod. But since it is metal, it’s much more sturdy and higher quality. The grip is also very sturdy, mainly because the circular ends are huge, over two inches in diameter. Finally, the extension mechanism is easy to operate, both in difficulty and in physical strength needed – the push to slide (adjust the length) button is easy to press without much force.
Starting at $30 it’s not cheap, but not particularly expensive, especially since I can vouch for the high quality and ease of operation, so in the end this is a five star product for me.
