Great little cooktop
We are redoing our outdoor living space and wanted to add a burner or two. This works perfectly. It is very well made. Installation looks like it is going to be easy (we aren’t quite ready to add this yet). I purposely spilt some oily ook on it and let it sit for a few days outside to see if it would be easy to clean off. It was! This is a very nice small cooktop that would work in many scenarios. It is definitely a good value for the money. Have you priced cooktops in the big box stores? This one is a steal. I would definitely recommend this cooktop.
I picked this up for a small kitchenette project where I simply didn’t have the counter space for a full-sized range, and it fits the bill perfectly. The 12-inch compact design is a huge space saver, yet it still provides two fully functional burners. It looks sleek and modern with the stainless steel finish, making the whole setup look much more professional than just using a portable hot plate.
One of the best features is the versatility regarding fuel type. It comes pre-set for natural gas, but the box includes the conversion kit and regulator for liquid propane. I needed it for a propane setup, and having those parts included saved me a trip to the hardware store. The burners light up instantly and offer great temperature control, allowing me to boil water quickly on one side while gently simmering on the other. If you are building out a van, an RV, or just a tiny apartment kitchen, this is a fantastic choice.
I’ve found this stove is a solid fit for a smaller kitchen where space is limited. The burners heat up incredibly fast which makes getting through a meal much quicker. I really like the way the flame control works because it’s actually pretty precise for something this size. It is also very easy to wipe the surface clean once I’m finished cooking. One thing to look out for is that the stainless steel feels a bit thin and the edges can be sharp during setup. It takes some effort to get it installed properly and the knobs feel a little lightweight. Overall it’s a reliable little cooktop that does exactly what it’s supposed to do without taking up a ton of room.
Pretty easy to install. I had to install backwards in order to properly clearance the back/front burner. I replaced the electric burners on this 70’s fridge/sink/stove unit. Added a quick connect fitting. I like how easy this is to clean. I wish the stainless was a little thicker. Be careful, it bends easily. This only became an issue on install, it’s very stable otherwise. Love the quality and look of it. So far its working great. Wish they made some type of cover for it. Overall I think this will last for a good long while and it’s small enough you could add it just about anywhere.
I ordered this so I can do some cooking on my semi-enclosed deck during the hotter months of the year, but I didn’t expect that I would find myself of in need of using it so soon! Shortly after I received this, we had a major snowstorm that knocked out our power for 17 hours.
While this cooktop is preset for natural gas, it does include two nozzles for propane. Converting this cooktop from natural gas to propane was very simple and took less than 5 minutes, even though I had to do it by the light of a flashlight! You just remove the natural gas nozzles (using a 7mm ratchet wrench) and screw in the propane nozzles. I pulled the propane tank from my BBQ and attached the hose to the gas connector on the underside of this very attractive looking and very nicely built Ranein two-burner gas stovetop. (Fortunately, I already had the correct size propane tank hose adapter.) Once that was done, I was able to finish cooking dinner! I ended up using this versatile stovetop to cook all meals over the next day until our power was restored.
Cooking on this is pretty awesome. The knobs provide very fine control over the heat and flame level on both burners, and my propane gas was burning very cleanly with a perfectly sized blue flame. The thick, flawlessly finished cast iron grates sit perfectly level on the stovetop and don’t slide around or wobble. The top surface and around the burners is all sealed, making it quick and easy to clean (even in the dark with a flashlight, lol). Any spills just wipe up easily. The included instructions are overall well written with only a couple of typos, and they are printed in an easy to read sized typeface, no magnifying glass needed!
Honestly I’m just so impressed with this Ranein stovetop not just because it saved us from having to eat cold food during a pretty long power outage, but also because it’s just such a good quality two burner stove top. It’s a simple, no-frills cooktop yet everything it does, it does perfectly. It has a high quality look and feel to it. The burners, cast-iron grate and smooth-turning knobs are all of a quality easily comparable to a stovetop at twice the price.
Needless to say, I’m very happy with this Ranein two burner gas cooktop. It’s attractive looking, versatile, burns cleanly and evenly, cooks wonderfully and is a terrific value. It literally saved my bacon!
This is a solid, no-nonsense gas cooktop that does exactly what it’s supposed to do. I’m using it on a small standalone stove cart on wheels, and for that purpose it works very well. Living in Florida, having an alternative cooking option that doesn’t rely on electricity is just smart—especially for storms, power outages, or when I want to fry without smelling up the house.
The build quality is good. The stainless steel surface feels sturdy, the burners ignite easily, and flame control is straightforward and predictable. It heats evenly and responds well when adjusting the gas, which is important for both quick cooking and simmering. It’s somewhat lightweight.
Its compact size is a big plus. It doesn’t take up much space, yet still feels stable and capable. This would be ideal for small kitchens, apartments, RVs, outdoor kitchens, or as a backup stove. Nothing fancy here—just a simple, practical, and dependable gas cooktop that gets the job done.
