Fun to fidget with
These spinner balls came neatly boxed. Each is identical apart from the colours. The spinners are mainly chunky plastic with a solid feel, though there are metal parts. Squeezing the top and bottom together compresses the sides into a disc shape and spins them. The spinners don’t spin for very long but a pumping action will keep them spinning, this keeps my hand busy.
As far as value for money goes these are much more expensive than almost identical spinners I own. The metal ring around the buttons is the main difference but these do seem to spin for longer and feel durable so build quality is decent. They are fun to fidget with and work well so overall I am very happy with these spinner balls.
"Four Fabulous Fun Fidgets"
I was initially hesitant to purchase this 4-pack of fidget spinners based on some poor reviews and alarming comments regarding safety and usability for younger children. However, as a preschool special education teacher working with 2.5- to 3-year-olds, my experience with them has been overwhelmingly positive.
At just under $10, this set is a fantastic value for well-made, durable toys. The spinners come in four attractive colors—green, red, orange, and blue. They are cleverly designed with an inner coil spring that spins the top when compressed, and they have a nice weight that feels solid in your hand. Ours have been dropped, spun, and rolled across the floor repeatedly, and there are no loose parts whatsoever.
Half of my students have Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) alongside delayed fine motor skills, and these fidget balls address their sensory needs while encouraging fine motor development and cooperative play:
Palm-Compression Spinning: Three of my students have below-average motor skills for their age and are unable to pinch and squeeze the polar ends to spin it traditionally. Instead, they push down on the top using the palm of their hand. Even with a lighter downward force, the spinner spins much longer than expected!
“Racing Balls” Play: My students discovered a whole new way to play with them. Because squeezing and turning them upright is tricky for 2.5-year-olds, they squeeze the ends together and release them on the ground, letting the spinner pop back into its spherical shape and roll across the room. They race them against each other, giggling and squealing with delight.
These fidget balls provide great tactile feedback, pleasant motion, and sound, satisfying sensory needs while sparking conversation and sharing among peers. I even enjoy using them for stress relief myself!
At under $10 for a set of four high-quality fidget balls, this is a phenomenal deal. I highly recommend them for toddlers, older children, and adults alike, and give them a full 5 stars!
