Works good
The extractor hood is intended as a replacement until a proper island hood is supplied and installed. Overall well made, the filters are easy to install and remove. The fumes are actually drawn in when cooking, but the appliance usually has to be set to the second level if it is very close to the pan/pot. The noise level during use is still ok. The charcoal filter is also supposed to filter out odors, but this is somewhat limited due to the thin filter material. The power cable is very long, but you need a socket nearby and the cable is then partly in the work area. The design is very stylish. You can also leave the extractor fan standing around as an “art object”. It actually draws the fumes away, so it works as it should, but it always has to be very close to the food being cooked. Cleaning goes well. If you don’t have an extractor hood on the wall or ceiling, it might be worth considering. However, you need space at the cooking surface and storage space when you no longer need the appliance. It’s nice to look at, the function is fine, but not as powerful as a wall or ceiling-mounted extractor, of course!
Simple setup, powerful, quiet, and effective.
I love food prepared at the table. To the point I routinely have sukiyaki at my house. One thing I’ve always wanted to do was Korean barbecue, but the smoke is irritating. This tableside fan is perfect for the situation. It filters out some of the smoke, pulls the oil out of the air, and keeps the area generally clean.
The fan is powerful and effective, but not overly loud, which is impressive given how much air it’s moving. There’s a light built into the front side, which will help illuminate your dining or grilling as you do it.
This is a unique item, and I’m not 100% sure how effective it is working, but it feels effective and for that, I am grateful. I will need to play with it a little bit more to get a good impression of how well it works, but for now I’ve used it a handful of times with great success. It is great at pulling smoke and oil out of the air. I know this because the filters are dirty after I use them.
It’s not cheap, but at the same time, it is very well-made, and feels and functions like a premium benchtop appliance.
