    Good, solid quality poker set.
I got this poker set because I’ve never had a complete poker set like this before and I thought it would be fun to play with family and friends. Everything arrived in good condition with no damage to the case or other parts.

I really like the quality of this poker set. The aluminum case is good quality and the set really has some heft to it. This is a serious set and is designed to not look and feel cheap quality.

The poker chips are also good quality, solid and have some weight to them. They make up the majority of the weight of the set. These are nothing like the cheap quality plastic chips I used to play with as a kid. These are like the professional chips you would see at a casino.

I like that the cards are a standard size. This way, once the included cards wear out someday, I can replace them with any other standard size deck of cards and they will still fit in the case.

The only thing I didn’t like so good was that the slots that hold the dice didn’t do their job as well as I would have liked, and they sometimes would get out of place.

At the current sale price of $44.99 for the 300 piece set, I would rate this as a good value for the money for what you get with this set.

Golden Review Award: 1 From Our UsersVery heavy, totally classy game case
Let me say right off the bat why I knocked off a star. I don’t know if it’s because of our Georgia heat and humidity, but all of the poker chips will NOT fit in the case. It was already a very tight fit when the chips arrived shrink-wrapped in almost impossible to remove plastic, but out of the plastic, the chips all said “Ahhhhh!!!!!” and relaxed (expanded); there is no way they’re all going to fit in the case slots intended for them. There is room, however, to put the extra chips in the center of the case, on top of the card decks, but they’ll rattle around a bit when you’re carrying the case.

I was surprised, almost shocked, at how heavy this gorgeous black metal suitcase is. I can’t remember when I’ve seen something so classy, so James Bond, so “money, honey.” I think guys, especially, will love the statement this set makes when they walk into a room carrying it. Just don’t make the mistake of waiting to unwrap the chips until you arrive. It literally took me half an hour of furious plastic-picking to get the darned wrappers removed.

One, but not both, of the card decks had one of those pull-strips like used to be on cigarette packs to help you remove the plastic. The other deck, strangely, did not have a pull-strip, and none of the chip wrappers did. They are needed. Get a sharp-point pair of tweezers first before you try to unwrap the items in this case. Regular scissors won’t do.

The chips have a good heft and feel substantial in the hand. They are the same on both sides. There are 150 each of the 1 and 5 chips, 100 of the 25s, and 50 each of the 100 and 500 chips. The cards themselves have handsome black and gold backings, but the front of the cards (while easy to read) look a tad cheesy compared to the rest of the set. (I don’t play poker in casinos, so I don’t know if these look like traditional decks. Heck, I’m used to Tarot cards.)

The case itself is the very best part of this set. I mean, it’s drop-dead gorgeous. Everything about it says “lux.” It’s got feet on the bottom narrow edge so you can stand it upright, tucking it to your side on the floor at the gaming table. Shoot, I can see somebody stuffing this case with money. You’ll definitely make a statement when you walk in with it. The inner case has a black velvet look, although more velveteen flockish than velvet. I’m hoping that, with use, the inner sides of the case will soften and yield better so that all the chips will fit into their designated slots.

    Great chips!
It’s a poker chip set. 200 chips, dark gold and black. We do poker night like once or twice a month and we were using these garbage plastic chips from like 15 years ago.

These chips are 11.5 grams, iron core. They actually feel like chips. Like the weight is there. The old ones you could blow off the table basically. These stack right, they sound right when you throw them in. Numbers on them so you don’t have to remember which color is what.

Case is aluminum, has velour inside. Clasps are a little light. It comes with cards and dice too but the chips are what matters. Dice are the round edge kind not casino dice. Cards are fine.

Casino feel without leaving the house
Wow, just wow! This Polar Aurora poker chip set is nicer than I expected. I’m reviewing the 500-piece set, and right away the weight of the case surprised me.

The chips have a good weight and smooth finish, giving them that casino-style feel at home. The black aluminum case looks sharp, feels durable, and keeps the chips packed tightly so they don’t rattle around when carrying it. I also like that it comes with everything needed to play: chips, two decks of cards, dice, and a dealer button. The cards are easy to read with large symbols, and the black-and-gold dice look great.

My only small complaint is that the dice don’t stay perfectly in their spot inside the case, but they don’t go far since everything else is packed in tightly.

Overall, this is a sharp-looking, complete poker set that’s great for game night or a casino-themed party.

Perfect heft and weight in these authentic chips!
I recently got my hands on the Polar Aurora Gold Dark Poker Set, and I have to say, it’s impressive! The quality of these 11.5-gram poker chips is top-notch, and they feel great to handle during games. When I first unpacked the impressively shipped box, I assumed the case must be the reason it was so heavy, based on how amazing it looked and felt. As it turns out, the box is perfectly lightweight yet protective; it is the amazing chips inside that provide the heft!

The modern design really appeals to the aesthetic, especially when combined with the sleek black aluminum case and gold-accented dice. It definitely adds a touch of elegance to any poker night.

The set includes 500 chips with numbers, which is fantastic for both casual play and more serious games. The craftsmanship is evident, with both the chips and included dice showing great attention to detail. The cards are high quality and have held up after many games. Whether you’re hosting a Texas Hold’em night or just a fun poker party, this set is a fantastic choice, especially at this price point for as much as you get and the incredible quality of the items. I highly recommend it if you’re in the market for a reliable and stylish poker chip set!

Chips with real weight, and you will want your own blind buttons
At every home game somebody’s drugstore chips slide off a stack, and you realize the cheap ones have been ruining the night. This is the fix at the sane end of the price range: three hundred numbered chips in a black aluminum case, plus cards, dice, and a dealer button. The chips are the reason to want it. They have an iron core, so they stack square, they don’t skate across the felt, and they land with the sound people expect. Printed denominations retire the yearly argument about what the green ones are worth. The case is lined in velour, has feet so it stands on edge, and looks better than the price suggests. A couple of honest notes. These are molded plastic around a metal slug rather than clay, so they feel solid without feeling like a casino floor. The cards and dice are ordinary, and the round cornered dice wander out of their slots in transit. The set also ships without blind buttons, so if you play Hold’em you’ll want a pair. Everything that carries the night is good. The extras are extras.
