Reasonably well built, stainless under cabinet range hood
Firstly, my removal of one star is because the fan’s attachment screws needed to be tightened, one of the light’s outer flange was not seated correctly, and there is no form of protection for the wire’s exit from the sharp edges of the main housing body . Fixing them was very simple, but not something that is expected or documented in the instructions. Other than that, this is a wonderful range hood, in both looks and design. The filter is easily removed by way of a pull tab, and reinserts securely via compression spring. The lights are powerful, and very simple to point in the desired direction. The fan (after bending the fins back to shape and tightening the mounting screws) is powerful and relatively quiet for it’s airflow power. A simple 3 wire setup (Positive, Neutral, Ground) makes installation a breeze.
Strong Suction and a Clean Built-In Look
I installed this range hood under my kitchen cabinet, and it has done a good job pulling smoke, grease, and cooking odors out of the air. The two fan speeds are useful depending on what I’m cooking, and the built-in LED light gives plenty of visibility over the stovetop. The stainless steel finish looks clean and modern, and it wipes down easily after cooking. A solid upgrade for everyday kitchen ventilation.
