Golden Review Award: 1 From Our UsersStylish and strong, with minor quirks
My first impressions of this strap were super impressive, from high quality packaging, to the product feel, it’s all very well made, which at this point I think we can generally expect from Pgytech.

The stitching is top notch, the leather is soft and supple, the edges are finished and the rope/cord section is very clean and well done.

My main nitpicks are just that the strap is a tad too long for me, even when shortened to the lowest really “effective” setting. What does that even mean? Well, because of the rope/cord ends, there’s a point where if you try to shorten the strap further, the ends of the cord dangle several inches below the quick attachment ends, and feel awkward, and get in the way of actually using the camera, which makes the “usable” shortest length approximately 42 inches.

And of course, if you’re typically shooting with massive super telephoto lenses, you probably know that a strap like this isn’t the right choice, but for a stylish every day or travel setup, this is a great strap, but if you know you like a shorter strap overall, I’d probably skip this one.

PREMIUM leather, awesome feel and performance
PGYTECH straps, in my opinion, are unparalleled. I first heard of PGYTECH because of their beetle clip system, but soon found their wrist and next straps to be a premium product that I enjoy every time I use them. It’s nice when a product functions as expected, and it’s even better when you feel good using it.

This particular strap is a combination of plastic, nylon cord, and leather. The plastic balls smoothly clip into the plastic receivers. The “clip in” is very smooth and issue free. The size and shape of the ball help it to align and click in without too much fuss, even if you don’t have it perfectly aligned. Removing the quick connect takes a little more deliberate press. This is good, as I’d hate to have an inadvertent disconnect! While it takes an intentional press, it is by no means difficult….

From a materials perspective, the brushed leather is super soft and comfortable on your skin (the tan leather). The black leather and the “ink washed” bit are subtle, and the black/grey combo offers nice contrast without being too “in your face”. I find the delivered product to be very true to the pictures in the listing.

I find that the nylon cord closer to the camera makes this easier to work with, compared to a completely leather strap. The leather is thick, and if it ran all the way to the camera (by your wrist) it can tend to get in the way. The nylon cord is strong, but thinner and less in the way.

This is my first PGYTECH AIR product, and I wasn’t 100% sure where it fit in. But I found the balls with other standard PGYTECH straps, or even the more heavy duty Strap Master Pro will work with this neck strap just fine. This will NOT work with the PGYTECH Slim series of quick connect balls, as those are too small to fit in this receiver. Great information to know if you are intending to use this in conjunction with other PGYTECH products.

PGYTECH Slim Vs PGYTECH Air Vs Coiro
I have purchased quite a few of PGYTECH’s “slim” series of straps which is my favorite strap to use on small mirrorless bodies as the quick release teardrops on them are extremely small and don’t get in the way. If you have a smaller camera and don’t like the idea of things dangling from your camera, get those instead.

For my larger full frame DSLRs and mirrorless bodies I have been using Coiros quick release straps which I really like. The strap is thicker making it more comfortable for heavier bodies and the larger quick release teardrops are more acceptable on those larger camera bodies. I am happy to report that this PGYTECH strap and quick release teardrop system is cross compatible with Coiro’s system so feel free to mix and match to your hearts content. Both straps have different pros and cons so I will try and break them down here.

Coiro’s straps feel like a comfortable seat belt with little rubber lines on the underside where it makes contact with your neck to improve comfort. It is quite thick and retains that shape up until its termination at the quick release point. Its strap is very easy to adjust the length as you only need to adjust it at a single point. Overall, the strap is simple, but effective.

This PGYTECH Air strap, in contrast is a bit sleeker in its thoughtful design. The underside of the strap is a comfortable and soft faux leather while the topside of the strap has a two tone design with the black portions feeling like leather and the grey portions having a suede texture. Its a slightly thinner strap than the Coiro seat-belt design while still being noticeably thicker than the PGYTECH slim line of straps. The biggest design difference is that this strap switches materials halfway into a paracord-like material. This makes the strap even thinner which has the added benefit of not getting in your way as much while wearing it. As a downside, it has two points that need to be adjusted if you want the strap to look balanced. It is also a little bit more finicky to adjust. So if you like to change the length of your strap frequently to switch from cross body to over the neck than this might be a bit more tedious.

Overall, all the straps I mentioned are excellent and I would highly recommend them all. Just go with whichever features and aesthetics you like the best and you will be happy.

Golden Review Award: 1 From Our UsersAnother great strap from PGYTECH. Looks terrific and well made.
I have personally purchased both the 1.8″ wide quick release shoulder strap and the wrist strap and loved them. I needed second strap and this genuine leather one looked so nice. It works with my current quick release beads, so this was an easy choice.

This is the Sunset Forest Pine version. It is made from five pieces of 3 colors of leather. It uses paracord for the adjustable straps and solid buckles to hold them in place.

The stitching appears to be top-notch and handled with care. The finished edges of the leather looks as nice as leather goods I’ve paid 4-5 times the price for.

Even though it is narrower than the original one and not padded it is very comfortable for long periods of time. I’m using it with a heavier Sony with a flash, and it causes zero discomfort.

If you want a beautiful, multi-colored leather strap, this is the one to get.

Very stylish camera strap, quick release system is secure
I prefer PGYTech’s quick release setup to the Peak Design version and also think they’re a better value. This is a super sharp looking strap, the leather both feels and looks very nice and I think the shiny metal accents make for a great looking color combo. It’s comfortable to wear as well despite having minimal to no padding besides the leather itself. It carries my Lumix camera without issue and makes for a secure and stable method of carry. I like the design of PGYTech’s anchors, which is the main reason I prefer them over competing brands. I also like their design language better but I know that’s pretty subjective and in my opinion, they use better and higher quality materials as well. The strap has a wide range of adjustment that shouldn’t be a problem for most people and I’m happy with the way it fits and carries. It’s also nice it comes with enough anchors for two cameras which lets me put another set on my compact digital camera. I can’t really think of any reason not to recommend it, it looks very nice, the leather is high quality and it carries well.

Awesome looking strap. Quick release works very well.
Very premium feeling camera strap, as expected from the price they are charging for it.

I like that it has 2 color quick release options. Straight black or the orange. The orange matches the Sony color scheme, which is neat. Another benefit is it’s a lot easier to see than the straight black one. Removing and installing the release is super easy.

Build quality of the strap is very nice. It matches better with medium to smaller size cameras, but it’s also fine to use with larger cameras. I have it current attached to a Canon R6 body and it works perfectly fine.

Aesthetically it’s beautiful. I like the way it looks a lot. The feel of the material is very supple and quite nice. Sewing quality looks awesome on the strap also.

Cost is a little pricey, mostly for a strap. But it is very good quality.

Premium Full-Grain Feel and Lightning-Fast Hardware Disconnects
Verdict: Carrying a heavy mirrorless camera body and a telephoto lens all day on a stiff, abrasive nylon strap will absolutely shred your neck and shoulders. If you want a setup that combines old-school leather aesthetics with modern quick-release functionality, this PGYTECH vintage strap is an incredible upgrade. It provides a supple, high-grade leather feel, rock-solid hardware security, and the kind of ergonomic comfort that lets you shoot from sunrise to sunset without fatigue.

    Pros

Supple Leather Construction: Unlike cheap, stiff faux-leather straps that take weeks to break in, this material feels broken-in and comfortable right out of the box. It drapes naturally across the shoulder without digging in or sliding around.

Quick-Release Anchors: The patented quick-connect clip system is brilliantly engineered. It allows you to instantly detach the camera body from the neck strap when you want to mount up to a tripod or gimbal, without fumbling with awkward split rings or threaded webbing.

Hardware Tolerances: The connection points and adjustment buckles are machined cleanly from robust materials. They lock down securely, ensuring your expensive camera rig isn’t going anywhere even when you’re moving fast on location.

Vintage Styling: The deep color tones and clean contrast stitching give the strap a classic, timeless aesthetic that looks right at home on professional mirrorless and vintage bodies alike.

    Cons

Strap Lug Protection (Shooter’s Tip): Just a standard gear-protection heads-up for your installation—the quick-release anchor loops use a strong cord, but if your camera body has sharp metal strap eyelets with burrs left over from manufacturing, that constant friction can eventually fray a tether. Take two seconds to inspect your camera’s eyelets, or add the included triangular split-ring guards if your camera body design calls for them, just to ensure absolute long-term security.

    Bang for your Buck

For any photographer, creator, or enthusiast tired of generic manufacturer straps, this leather option delivers outstanding practical value. It completely outclasses standard nylon straps by blending high-end comfort with clever modular hardware for a very fair price. It is definitively worth buckling onto your camera body to keep your gear secure and your shoulders comfortable all day long.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersPerfect Blend of Vintage Style and Fast Functionality
I have spent probably more time than most looking for the absolute perfect strap to use with my new mirrorless camera, and I am so glad that I finally found this one. I am absolutely in love with it, especially in the Sunset Forest Pine color—it has a gorgeous, retro look that stands out without being loud. Even the unboxing experience was great; it comes in premium packaging with a fantastic magnetic closure box, clear instructions, and some fun branding stickers.

I primarily use this with my mirrorless camera, and it feels like it was tailor-made for it. The 1.5mm quick-mount beads thread perfectly into the smaller eyelets without any of the usual fumbling. That being said, given the impressive 40kg (88lbs) load capacity, it could probably be totally okay to use with a full-size DSLR as well if you want something sleek but incredibly strong. I also really like the rope adjusters for dialing in the length.

I already own a couple of minimalist bags from this brand that I really like, so I had high expectations, and they definitely delivered. The quick-release mechanism is a total game-changer. Being able to detach the neck strap one-handed makes it incredibly easy to pop the camera onto a tripod, or quickly swap it out for a wrist strap. It actually includes two sets of connectors in different colors to use on different devices, and because the system is so convenient, I’ll probably be getting their matching wrist strap very soon.

If I had one minor complaint, it’s that the plastic pieces for the connectors feel a bit cheap out of the box—I think they would feel much more premium if they were made of metal or carbon fiber. However, they feel sturdy enough and I do think they will hold up perfectly fine over time, as long as you aren’t dropping them directly onto hard ground.

The inner TORAY microfiber lining is incredibly soft and breathable for long photo walks, and the visual wear indicator gives great peace of mind. Highly recommend!
