Great for organizing and very nice looking.
This is a great rattan vertical file holder and organizer. It has worked perfectly for our needs. It is mostly sturdy although it can tip easily if you place too much into it. But I haven’t had much issue because I don’t stuff it full and heavy. It looks great on a desk or shelving display and the color is beautiful and gives a nice natural look. Size is perfect for normal size folders and notebooks. No funky, unnatural odors upon receiving. Definitely recommend!
Beautiful Organizer, Smaller Capacity Than Expected
This is a beautiful desktop file organizer. The woven rattan gives it a warm, natural look that makes it feel more like home decor than an office supply. It seems very well made, and the iron frame gives it a sturdy, high quality feel.
The only thing that surprised me was how much it actually holds. Because of the thickness of the woven rattan, the inside space is smaller than I expected based on the outside dimensions. It still works well for organizing a handful of notebooks, but it doesn’t have the capacity I originally thought it would.
Even with that limitation, I’m happy with it. It looks great in my office, feels durable, and adds a nice decorative touch while keeping my workspace organized. If you don’t need to store a large volume of files, this is a lovely organizer and I would highly recommend it.
Beautiful Product that Turned Out to Be Impractical To Use
The first thing I noticed after opening the box was the smell. It came out of the packaging with a strong, medicine-y odor that was hard to ignore. Not overwhelming enough to send it straight back, but definitely something I had to air out for a while before I felt good about putting it on my desk. Something to be aware of if you’re sensitive to that kind of thing, or if you’re planning to unbox it and put it into service right away.
Once the smell mellowed out, though, I have to give the organizer its due on craftsmanship. The rattan really is attractive, as it has that handwoven texture the listing promises, and the fibers themselves feel tough and well-made rather than flimsy or splintery. Paired with the iron frame, the whole thing feels sturdier than expected. It’s genuinely a nice-looking piece of desk furniture, and I don’t think I’d hesitate to recommend it on aesthetics or build quality alone.
Unfortunately, the organizer turned out to be too small to practically use for our letter-size documents. The product page lists the size of the organizer as 8.5″ x 11″, however, the large woven fibers take up some of that space, leaving a very uncomfortable fit for letter-size documents. Our letter-size documents are often bound into reports and projects, with items such as spiral binding and comb binding. This organizer was unable to hold any of our documents with any ease.
Bottom line: An attractive, well-made, and sturdy organizer that is exactly as described. Unfortunately, its exact 8.5″x11″ made it unusable and impractical for us to hold any type of paper, document, or book. This would have been perfect if it had been made even the slightest-bit larger than 8.5″x11.”
Nice looking addition to my desk area
I really like the looks of this rattan file organizer. It’s a lot more aesthetically pleasing than the black mesh wire one I was using before. It’s a nice neutral color that goes with everything in my house. The quality is there because this seems to be solidly and well made. The size is nice, but not quite as big as I thought it would be. Initially, I was hoping to put some magazines in it, but they were too big. So be sure to measure to make certain this will accommodate your things. It truly is letter size as they said so it works well for that exact purpose.
