We have a lot of birds in the area, so why not have a spot where they can drop by in the mornings. You have a choice of three sentiments printed on the glass enclosure, but from a distance of more than a few feet, it’s barely noticeable. But that’s OK. It’s a bird feeder and it’s fairly well made. The closure on the top is a little tricky. Make sure it catches completely, or you will have a mess on your hands (and feet). The height dimension on the product page is inaccurate. It’s closer to 13 1/4 inches high, if that matters in your setup.
It has two perches for the birds, one on either side that extend out from the bottom pan, which includes holes for the seed to replenish the area, as well as outlets for drainage of rain water.
It’s a nice item, if not somewhat pricey.

This memorial cardinal bird feeder is of good quality… metal vs plastic, and glass vs acrylic. The metal perches are a breeze to connect. The feature I really like about this feeder is the latch that opens and securely clothes the top of the feeder. I have another feeder (much cheaper in price & quality) in which the top simply lifts off the feeder. The drainage holes is another smart feature. In fact, I’m thankful for them at this very moment… as it’s currently raining outside. I imagine the birds are thankful too.
I find the message on the glass both meaningful & powerful. I love cardinals, & like to believe that when one is spotted, it’s signifying that a loved one is letting you know that they are still “here”. This feeder makes a lovely gift to someone who has had a loved one pass way. I would absolutely give this feeder as a gift. It’s not cheap looking at all. I’ve received memorial gifts made out of plastic. This is so much nicer. In my particular case, I ordered it to hang at my own home… in rememberence of my loved ones who are no longer here on Earth.
I am 100% satisfied with this item.
