I have been playing magic on and off for over 30 years and this set is prime. The mixture of full art card, foil, double faced cards and more bringer together both the world of the planeswalkers of mtg and the marvel universe in a fun card game
Great first purchase for a new playe
I bought this as I am super new to MTG. It’s actually helped me understand a lot about the gameplay. The books walk you through every step (for each deck) so you can get a better idea of the entire process.
It’s awesome that it’s Marvel too. Lots of awesome cards in it that I would have had to buy booster packs to try to grab.
I recommended this for anyone who is just learning MTG. I’m going to try to play with my nephew and teach him with this beginners box.
The decks come pre-assembled and set for a very easy introductory game. No shuffling needed for the first. It also includes some form of playmat and instruction booklet. The cards for this set are so nice. I’m going to put them in a frame eventually. I think it’s worth a buy if you’re trying to get into magic.
WORTH the price imo!
This box comes with a really nice intro for new players who want to learn magic. It also layers the included decks in stages so the 2 players learning can learn bit by bit it even comes with additional cards to boost up and enhance your deck after the tutorial games. I put all the cards through my card scanner and even though i paid about $26 and the original retail is like $35, the value of the cards from what i scanned was about $55 rounded up, which is not bad at all. You also get a decent amount of cool Rares. You get Tony and Cap of course but theres others, theres also really nice legendary creatures included. If youre into marvel or new to magic or into marvel and magic, this is a good buy it also comes with 2 play mats and 2 sets of dice! REALLY nice box packaging too
We loved this!!! It has so many cards in it and if you’re a fan of Marvel, you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how many legendary creatures are in there in relation to marvel!
If you are wanting this product for its intended use, I highly recommend it because it is a very beginning friendly, and I mean VERY beginning friendly package. It comes with play mats that tell you where to sort your board state at, as well as instruction manuals on how to play the game! It has quite a few “starter decks” that also i believe 20 cards per deck, and makes it really easy to get used to the flow and nature of the game while also allowing for customization options with the deck combinations!
My husband and I got it because it has 200 cards (including lands) that is marvel related and we plucked some out from that to put into our own decks, so I would absolutely say that the value for how much you pay is 100% WORTH IT!!! I am so thrilled with this.
I’m trying to collect all of the Marvel set, and this seemed like a cost-effective way to get a bulk of the cards. This is my first ever Beginner Box and I’m impressed with how it’s laid out. The booklets are very informative and the 1v1 it sets up for to teach new players how to play the game is great!
