Product description

Dries feet quickly, but transferred dust is a conce
I had always been curious about how effective these mats are, so when I was given the opportunity to try this one out, I figured it would be worth a shot. I’ve spent a little over a month now using it in place of the large, fluffy bath mat for my showers, and I’ve been reasonably happy with it thus far. It dries my feet quickly, doesn’t take long to dry itself, and I think it makes the bathroom look tidier than a soft mat does.
Naturally, it’s not nearly as soft as a traditional bath mat, but I don’t mind the feeling of it. The gaps between each slat of the mat are noticeable, but not necessarily uncomfortable. I don’t usually like standing on hard surfaces for long without some kind of cushioning, but unlike the ceramic tile that covers most of the floor in my house, it’s got just enough give to make it comfortable to stand on for the length of time it takes to towel off.
The area is a little on the smaller side for bath mats, but it hasn’t really been a problem for me. Most of the time I’m already mostly dry before I step out of the shower, so this is just to finish off the soles of my feet. If you have some balance problems from age or other issues, it may be worth looking for a larger product, but I think this one would be a decent size for most people, at least on a practical level.
I’m someone who prefers to shower in the evening, which is a bit of a problem here as I don’t want to transfer any of the grey dust it produces onto my clean bedsheets. I’ve spent quite a bit on new white ones, and I’d like to keep them in good condition, so while the mat doesn’t produce an egregious amount of dust, I still worry that over time it may result in a bit of staining. As such, rather than keeping this in my main bathroom where I shower daily, I’ve elected to keep it in the guest bathroom, as most people who stay the night here tend to shower in the morning and most of that dust would probably get trapped by their socks instead of somewhere more obvious.
In short, I think if you’re someone who showers in the morning then this would be a great option to replace for replacing a bath mat. There’s a little more manual maintenance involved, but it’s only a little tedious at worst.
I see a lot of reviews of these stone mats where I believe people just don’t understand the material. These are made of a highly porous rock that’s composed of fossilized algae. It’s going to come a little dusty. Don’t scrub them, that’ll just make it worse. Wipe it off with a few damp paper towels or cleaning wipes and it should be fine. They come with a small piece of sand paper which you can use to lightly sand it and freshen it up every few months instead of scrubbing it if it gets dirty. Again, wipe the dust off with some wipes. They basically come in two sizes. These small ones for around $30 and the larger ones for $60-$75. The smaller ones are pretty small. The trade off is that they don’t get funky like regular mats. They will slide on your floor but should come with an extra non slip pad or something stuck to the back of it so it won’t. This particular mat does exactly what it’s advertised to do. Personally, I liked it and preferred it over a regular mat but decided it was too small so I returned it and got a larger one. It cost more but I figure it’s going to last a long time. In the end, like most things, they’re a matter of preference.
I wasn’t quite sure about this so I was very excited to use that. I stepped on this and immediately my pee was dry. It was so cool and that right up to my shower and it stopped my shower flooding, but that’s not the point of it. I stepped on it. I was Dry. I would definitely say yes by this.
Super Absorbent & Foldable Bath Ma
This Foldable Stone Bath Mat is a remarkable product that offers several benefits for bathroom and kitchen use. First and foremost, its super absorbent nature stands out, after a quick shower, the mat absorbs water rapidly, leaving your floor almost completely dry. The engraved flow lines on the surface not only enhance the aesthetic appeal but also accelerate the drying process by directing water to the edges of the mat.
One of my favourite features is the foldable design, which makes storage a breeze. Measuring 23.6 x 15.7 inches, it rolls up neatly and can be tucked away in a cabinet or drawer when not in use. This feature is particularly useful for those with limited space, such as apartments or small bathrooms.
The anti-slip EVA backing, combined with an additional non-slip pad underneath, ensures safety during use. I have used this mat daily after showers without experiencing any slipping feeling.
The durability and ease of cleaning are also good qualities. Made from diatomaceous earth, the mat is built to last for years with minimal maintenance required. When it does get dirty (and it will), you can simply rinse it off or wipe it down with a damp cloth before letting it air dry. Stains are easy to remove by lightly sanding the surface if necessary.
Lastly, the versatility of this product should not be overlooked. In addition to its primary use as a bath mat, I have found it extremely useful as a kitchen dish drying mat, doormat, and even for my indoor plants. Its minimalist design blends well with various interior styles, making it an attractive option for multiple areas in your home.
While there are no significant drawbacks that stand out, the Foldable Stone Bath Mat is an excellent investment for anyone looking to improve hygiene, safety, and convenience in their bathroom and kitchen spaces.
Must Have -No More OCD!
I’ve been dying to try one of these mats after seeing them all over my social media, so when it popped up on my page- I had to get one! I’ve seen nothing but good things about these bath mats and my review is no different. The size is nice and large, perfect for an average sized adult- lots of room to stand and drip onto after a bath/shower.
If you’re like me and have terrible ocd about standing on carpeted bath mats – this is a game changer that you have to add to your bathroom. I hate having to stand on someone else’s mat when I shower at their house, not knowing when the last time it was washed or what has dropped and absorbed into it. This mat takes mine and any future guest worries away. The spacing isn’t far enough apart to let water get through onto the bathroom flooring causing a slipping hazard and the water seems to completely dry up within about a minute. I love that by the time I leave the bathroom, the mat is dry and there’s no musty wet smell left behind.
The material is quite nice on the feet and not at all slippery which was my only worry- it’s rock solid on the floor as well thanks to the non slip base.
Overall this is really a neat product that I think everyone should have in the bathroom – less mess/less stress/and less stink!
