Such a low stake upgrade
I was super excited about this being something I didn’t have to glue down. It’s just a pressure lock and a twist knob. The magnet works great and hold well with a case or no case.
I have on complaint and that it comes with a USB-C to C cable. Idk when they switched but the 2020 to 2023 all have USB-a so not a big deal but if you didn’t already have the cable you still need one unless your older model 3 pre refresh has USB-C.
Over all I love this it charges exactly how you expect it’s easy to mount and easy to move your phone to where you want and it doesn’t move after placed.
It even comes with magnetic rings to add to older cases or phones that don’t have MagSafe.
For this price and how clean it looks and if you have an older model 3 go get this right now it’s going to feel amazing on your next drive.

Review: This is a nice complete unit for somebody looking to add a phone mount to their Tesla. The mounting system attaches securely to the upper left corner of the screen and allows you to position your phone either horizontally or vertically. The locking mechanism is simple to use and feels very secure once everything is in place.
I also really like the amount of adjustment. The swivel ball mount lets you angle the phone in different directions, so you can get it positioned exactly where you want it while keeping the phone facing toward you. It also does not obstruct the Tesla infotainment screen, which is important with a mount like this.
The MagSafe charging portion works well, and the unit includes a USB C cable that plugs directly into the charger. However, it does not come with a car charger so you must rely on your Vehicles USB-C port or bring your own charger. Therefore, the charging speeds will rely on what your unit will bring it.
There is also a small blue indicator light that lets you know the charger is ready. The only real drawback is that you will have a cable hanging down toward the center console. It is not particularly obstructive, and you could probably find a way to tuck it away if you wanted a cleaner installation.
For phones that do not have built in MagSafe, Lamicall includes a magnetic metal ring. I was actually impressed with the quality of the ring because it looks considerably nicer than the basic thin silver or metallic adhesive rings that are often included with accessories like this.
They even include a positioning guide that helps you find the center of your phone before applying the ring. I have never seen that included with one of these products before, which is nice. .
Everything feels well thought out and works together nicely. As long as you do not mind having a charging cable running down toward the console, this is a very nice option for adding a secure phone mount and wireless charging to a Tesla.
Overall: I am very satisfied with this mount. It is secure, highly adjustable, does not interfere with the infotainment display, and includes everything needed to get it installed and working.
