Seems high-priced, but it is a quality hose
It seems to be a well-made hose that should offer a few years of service. As it’s still freezing outside, I haven’t had the opportunity to connect and use it at this point.
I do like that it isn’t an expanding option. While expanding hoses do shrink into a much smaller bundle once the tap is turned off and the pressure released, every single one I have used has only lasted two seasons. For whatever reason, they end up with the inner expanding portion separating from the connectors, which makes them totally useless.
The floating outer cover seems like it can handle some abrasion, such as being dragged over a sidewalk. It’s not a simple cloth-type cover, more of an industrial woven fibre sheath. The standard 3/4 inch brass fittings on each end are well-made, and as can be seen in the image, the crimping is between the hose, both inner and outer, to the connectors is properly done. That said, as this is the first hose of this kind I have used, I can only hope that the inner hose won’t have the same problem as the expanding hoses and break/crack at the connections.
Because it is so flexible, it can easily be kinked, but this is without any water pressure in it. I look forward to it not kinking or at least on its own undoing any kinks once there is water pressure. Based on experience with industrial hoses that are similar to this, I expect that it will release any kinks once there’s pressure in the line.
The included 10-function sprayer nozzle is of the cheap, all-plastic variety. As the image shows, it uses the old-fashioned handle with twist down cap to set a certain level of pressure and then secure the handle via the fold-down metal tab. Again, as it’s still freezing, I haven’t been able to test the sprayer, but it is pretty much the same as the previous dozens of nozzles I’ve used and still own.
The kit is expensive. As I write this review, it’s selling for $102.95, but with the different construction of the inner hose and outer cover, if I can get five or more years out of it, I’ll be happy.
Overall, even though it doesn’t shrink when there’s no pressure, the fact that it can become so flat, as seen in the seller’s images, it is easy to coil up and takes up far less space than a standard rubber garden hose.
Very lightweight, easy to use and non expanding
This is a long, durable and lightweight garden hose. Unlike the expanding type this hose does not and is simply 100 feet no matter if it is pressurized with water.
The hose has a tough outer layer of tightly woven synthetic material covering the inner PVC hose. Since this is a regular non expansion hose you can leave it in place on the ground when it is not under pressure and it will not retract and move out of place.
Having a weight of just over 5 lbs makes this very long hose very manageable when not filled with water making it easier for those who cannot or do not want to work using a heavy vinyl or metal hose. This hose does not kink however like all hoses can become tangled and knotted.
The fittings are 3/4″ standard and made of good quality brass. There are rubber gaskets installed when you receive the hose and there are extras included. I experienced no leaking from the hose or spray nozzle attachment.
Included is a 10 mode spray nozzle which is great for an assortment of tasks however is buolt of mostly lightweight plastic so use care as durability may be an issue if left in freezing conditions or dropped.
Overall this is an excellent quality product that is easy to use since it is so lightweight (easy to store and wind on a spool).
Good purchase
I’ve used this for a couple of months now and it has held up and best of all it is lightweight, much lighter than the old style rubber hoses. No leaks and it is easy to roll up. My one small complaint is it does kink a bit, not real bad just occasionally when I don’t pull it out straight.

This hose is awesome. I’ve had it for a few months now with no issues. It rarely ever kinks and when it does it’s usually my fault, the quality is great, it’s nice and thick and easy to roll up. Even the nozzle is good quality which is hard to find for a low price. Definitely recommend!
