This is a great little bird bubbler. We have developed a healthy environment for all birds over the years which has resulted in a very active bird population. It’s been a great place for them to raise their families and gather. They are always curious but cautious whenever something new arrives in their area. I have watched them land in the Japanese Maple a few feet away from this little fountain as well as on the gate post just watching and observing. I feel certain they will use it after they’re absolutely certain it’s safe. They’re so entertaining to watch.
The bubbler works great when the sun hits it directly but slows to an occasional pulse when shaded. I change the water daily because it is so hot here right now. I put some cool water in the bowl along with a few ice cubes. The bubbler is very simple and although there are no instructions, it is very easy to assemble and ready for outdoor use right away. I would recommend this item because it is so easy to begin using immediately and it does attract birds. I’ve been watching them all day and when they begin to congregate and make use of it, I’ll follow-up with an additional photo. My guess is that will be fairly soon. It’s been fun to watch their reaction to this new addition to their environment. I suspect it will be another great place for them to gather.
This bird bath is fairly attractive. There is no battery so when it is sunny out, it works, when it is not, it just sits there, no fountain action. I am ok with that but I was surprised a bit. When you first take it outside if it is sunny it starts working, whether there is water in it or not. You will see in my video it starts dry then works fine once there is water in the bowl. There are no directions in terms of how to assemble it, but it seems like there is only one way to put it together.
This is so easy to set up. I have a really cheap bird bath that doesn’t hold much water. I put this bowl inside the bird bath and it fits perfectly. The bowl is light weight and easy to move around. When I first put the solar bubbler in the bowl it made a terrible noise but that was because the bowl was empty. Once I put water in the bowl it is quiet except the peaceful sound of water flowing. The birds have been enjoying the water during this dry season. Because the bowl is light weight, it is very easy to clean. The solar portion is also easy to clean. The solar part does not store energy so when the sun fades, the bubbler slows down and doesn’t work at night. I have a spot that is in direct sun most of the day so it works all day. Keep in mind that does have to be in the sun to work. I am very pleased.
This was an awesome buy. We have all kinds of birds and squirrels and all their babies that we feed. I have plenty of water sources (bird baths/pool) but nothing with movement which I heard was good for them. I got this and was impressed. Nice weight well made. Love the rustic look. Very easy to put together. Plug in hose and add water. Set it in the sun and watch it bubble. Slight huming sound but nothing that will bother them. The size is great. We have a lot of morning doves so this works well. Worth buying

I received this item as part of the Vine program. It works as described. Buyer beware to read the description. This does not store energy so only works when the sun is out. The basin has a space in the bottom for the bubbler to sit in, so it doesn’t take up space in the birdbath which I think is a plus. There metal is good quality; it isn’t flimsy, and doesn’t bend. The day I put it in my yard, birds were in in drinking and bathing which was super fun to watch–so many that I have to clean and fill it daily. I wish I could take easily take the pump apart to clean it because everyday it is full of stuff I spray out, but am concerned that it will eventually clog the pump permanently, but so far, so good.
I’ve had a birdbath in my garden for years. I change the water every day and notice that sometimes it can get pretty stagnant. This attractive birdbath solves that problem.
I’ve seen other “bubbling” fountain-type birdbaths, but usually they involve too much maintenance or a connection to AC power (or batteries) and a water source. I like this one because it’s very simple: You fill the dish and it bubbles when in direct sunlight. There’s no additional setup or prep needed. The dish has controls that are on the underside of the top (where the solar collector is). There are two plastic pieces to be inserted in the top. There are no assembly instructions, but it’s pretty user-intuitive in terms of how to assemble. The instruction sheet says to clean it every 2-3 weeks, but since it’s such a simple device (the dish and the two plastic pieces), that should be very quick.
It only works in direct sunlight and the solar panel doesn’t store energy. I tested it early in the morning and as soon as the sun started to come up it started to bubble slightly. When the sun came out fully, it began bubbling vigorously.
Note that it doesn’t come with a stand: I placed it on the stand that came with my existing birdbath. I’ll probably have to adjust the stand a little so that the dish sits perfectly flat, but this will do the trick for now.
Surprisingly nice birdbath that’s a very good value: Highly recommended.
