I bought this single cup coffee maker for my mom to use in the kitchen. She usually gets up early but doesn’t want to waste money brewing a whole pot of coffee, so this one cup per serving design is perfect. It’s really easy to operate; I explained it to her once and she understood. The water tank is removable, making it convenient to add water without adding too much at once, brewing only what she needs, resulting in fresher coffee.
It heats up quite quickly, making a cup in about two minutes, which is great for people in a rush in the morning. My mom usually likes the classic mode, which is rich and smooth; when it’s hot, she adds ice and uses the Over Ice mode for a refreshing, not too weak, iced coffee. The temperature control is good, bringing out the coffee aroma without any sudden temperature fluctuations.
The design is also very appealing; the narrow body doesn’t take up much space in a corner of the counter, and it’s easy to wipe clean. The drip tray at the bottom is removable, so it’s also convenient for placing taller travel mugs, preventing coffee drips from spreading all over the countertop. For someone like my mom who has a fixed cup of coffee every day, this is a very convenient and time saving small appliance that she uses every day.
This is a pretty basic coffee maker but it’s versatile and has multi use options. At first I didn’t notice you can brew your own coffee too but once I assembled the unit I noticed the reusable ground coffee container. You can use regular kcup coffee pods but you can also use your own ground coffee which is a very cool option. You can make light and strong coffee. The buttons are easy and minimal and its very easy to operate the machine. I think its an excellent choice for seniors or in dorms. We picked the white one and it looks very minimalist and neat. It’s compact and doesn’t take much space on countertop. I have tried both and iced coffee and the both taste pretty good. The machine is well made. It’s durable and good quality. Its not premium but it’s certainly fall into an essential and budget friendly category. We love the machine. It heats up fast, it makes good coffee, it has few different settings, it’s well built, it has multiple different functions and it’s small size. It checks all my check boxes for basic coffee machine for one person. Good value.
